why are you reading strings as integers?

if you want to use printf/scanf, you need to know how to use the format fields correctly. this line scanf("%s",&firstnum); is saying what the user types in will be interpreted as a string and store that as an integer. which i believe is what you don't want to do. the correct code should be scanf("%d", &firstnum);.

printf - all format specifiers say how the following variables will be interpreted
scanf - the format specifier say how the input is going to be interpreted

if you want to use printf/scanf correctly, that is the idea you need to know...

1. 7-in-1 media drive allows you to read flash memory and Sony's Memory Stick to name a few. Most of the media read by this machine are no bigger and 2" x 2"

2. Celerons are good if the only things you use it for is internet and word processing. If you plan on playing PC games, then an athlon is tons better than a celery

3. Processors and hardware are independent from each other. There is no hardware that is truly dependent with the processor that it is run with. There may be dependencies that a processor needs to run such and such speed. but a video card (for example) incompatible with a processor is unheard of.

i believe directX is no longer supported for Win95 after a certain version...but I'm not confident about that answer. I know a lot of stuff doesn't work with Win95 after a certain point in Win98 development...

yeah, japan was a team...but they are ridiculously weak...however, to make the world cup of rugby is still a significant thing. the U.S. too as a team but they are about as weak as japan. If rugby isn't a club sport in college in those countries and more of a sport that makes it down to the H.S. level, then those countries might produce more respectable teams

have you restarted the OS from that moment until now? it could be that weird stuff happened while the computer was on and a simple reboot will fix the problem... if not then um...i'm not sure what you can do short of reinstalling the OS

isn't zonealarm a firewall program or something, if so...then maybe it has to do with a severe bug zonealarm has with filesharing now?

1. Yes, if you have some form of memory altering device and willing to break some functionality of a PS2 (the one method I know requires to you no longer make the disc tray automatic)

2. You won't lose anything

3. I believe -R is the way to go but my modded PS2 has trouble with many burns. It is not that it doesn't work, but it is very tempermental in starting. However, if I burn the game onto +RW, then my PS2 isn't tempermental

4. The ones by BTC are decent. Anyways, a decent burner goes for around $70-100 USD

5. What does AVI have to do with PS2?

I had two interviews for an internship at the same company. Both were 75 minutes long and went alright. Unfortunately, I didn't get the position. As for getting a job, I do have one at my univserity library. I interviewed for it back in April 2003 and it wasn't that bad.

you are probably in a lot better shape than some people currently living in the sacramento delta area...where a levee broke yesterday and all the delta water is flooding the "island" that the levee protected. lots of crops lost and millions dollars of damage that the state of california will have to shell out because of this.

but anyways, i hope by now things have gotten back to normal for you, JJ?

i unfortunately do not have broadband...which means I find it cumbersome to click on a link in a thread only to have to wait another minute or two to get back to the same thread again after clicking the link. i put it in because not many people know what holding shift does when clicking a link

gee...missed that DVD Burning part

1. Yes it will, I played bootlegged HK movies with my PS2 in July '03 (the PS2 was modded in Oct '03)

2. You need software to create a DVD. There are DVD creation software outthere but I'm not familar with any. Why don't you try a google search for "DVD compliation software" or something like that

3. - is the unofficially endorsed standard by movie picture association or something like that. However, regardless of +/- format you burn, the end result is still the same, a disc with DVD-ROM format

4. um...my original answer still holds

5. I better question would have been to say my 50 MB AVI file is x minutes long. Then I would respond, current recordable DVDs only hold 120 minutes of movie

FYI, my two cents on using PS2 for DVD player -- ain't worth it. The PS2 laser is really bad to begin with and having the laser run for extended continous periods of time isn't a good a thing.

I've heard this anime is good but I lost interest in it after 1.5 episodes. So as it stands. Excel Saga isn't on my recommendation list of anime.

So, what is your opinion of Excel Saga and maybe a tiny spolier to help me get back into it?

Geez. I hate target="_blank" tags, too. They are just annoying. I like the functionality of back and foreward just fine, thank you.

1. um...IE and Mozilla are set to cache pages (what browser doesn't?) and I still get lag

2. I click middle button (mouse wheel) and I get the auto-scroll feature by microsoft

well...i don't post links that much anyways, so I'll continue to use target until it is banned by the board or board majority says doing such a thing will have penalty similar to spamming

from a programming standpoint, isn't there a way for you to be able to display the same information in using MFC? (yes, this is coming from a person who hasn't used your program) well, if the answer to that question is no, i guess MFC does take away some power users had...
