NSNick is right. It's infinite. If you start from the north pole, the only direction you can go is south. Thus, when you start going east, you are going on a latitude--meaning you are not going any further away from the pole nor getting closer. Thus, when you start walking north again, you head back to the same point.

Alright, how about something less number theory eh?

When you go to a hotel, when you want hot water from a bathroom faucet, you have it. But when you are at home, it takes time. How is a hotel able to provide hot water on demand?

have you tried scanning for spyware/adware/malware? if those options fail, then some system files are messed up and a OS reinstallation is probably needed.

that's a good question--since Firefox 1 came out, i've gotten regular updates. However, the Firefox verison on my laptop doesn't notify me of updates. So, I guess that might be why?
otherwise, it's probably a case of post inflation

problems with folders for me are

1) if they get too deep, you can't backup to DVD.
2) Viruses typically don't jump drives (i.e. go from C to D, etc)
3) if the OS dies, I just have to format the drive with the OS and all the other stuff will be intact

hmm...is that so? I've never used HiJack This so yeah. If that is the case, then the one by Lavasoft is the want you want to use.

It is a conspiracy because Microsoft wants you to use their IDE to make it. When I first read your post, I was going to say if you used visual C++, you can make it there and then use the headers files. But I remembered you are using non-Microsoft stuff to do your coding. So yeah...if you want a quick solution, get visual C++, build the interface there, then take the rc file and compile it yourself. Otherwise, wait for Parasyte to respond...

it doesn't surprise me that this happened..

as for interesting stuff, It happened because of the incident last fall--if that didn't happen last fall, i don't think anyone would have made a bomb threat

Cellar Dweller gets it--his answer with the water loop is the closest answer to what I had in mind. At a hotel, if hot water is always in use, then you will have hot water anywhere. Think about it at home, after someone takes a shower, if you use the shower immedately after (don't have to be the same shower), you'll have hot water. Idea is the same in a hotel, if something is always using it, like a the water loop, then hot water will always be present

Next question: Which is the best direction to unlock the driver side door of a car? Should one turn the key clock wise or counter-clockwise?

one thing I'm not sure people are keeping in mind is that these are styles of questions Microsoft actually will ask in a job interview so would you really give short answers without explaination? Note, if you don't want to imagine interviewing for Microsoft, then think about a company you'd like to work for since these are legitamate questions to use

The Spartans upset the Wildcats--this game had a good finish. Once the 2nd OT came around, it seems the Wildcats left the building already

The U.S. depends on the outside for about 60% for it's energy needs. So, in theory, the U.S. will probably suffer, just slightly better than what other people have mentioned.

As for my thoughts, a crisis will ensue but countries will still remain the powers they are today. The U.S. I think will lead the way to the next generation of power since they will be the ones to do something about it first since it has the resources necessary to make changes. I'm not sure if the EU or other industrialized nations will adapt as fast but they will be fine.
