4GB of addressable memory

all programs can't exceed no more than 4GB of active memory since 32-bit systems can only address 2^32 bytes.

The amount of RAM+VM is equal to RAM+the amount of free space on the drive where the swap file is found

i might have gotten into it if I had more friends to play with. However, I did beat Baldur's gate, which plays similarly to DnD...

for some reason, all these things that may qualify someone as geeky, dorky, or nerdy are guy associated or gender-independent. Is there anything that is girl associated that is the subject of this thread?

maybe there could be some other type of media we could give him

wow, I almost slipped off--and since HH posted so much, I guess I'll just have to settle for 5th this month...

9 hours and you are done with disc 1
seems like there is no point in leveling up then... because i've spent about 9 hours and I'm no farther than when I control shion for the first time...

whatever, you are just in denial--you know you are afraid; people who are afraid won't confront their fears; people who are disgusted about stuff can't avoid it

Apple had issues when they appeared (what those issues were, I don't remember). IBM did sue but lost because the defendants were able to demonstrate they reversed engineered the stuff. So, IBM was powerless to stop clones but in the end, it proved to be a good thing...

You have to give Apple credit though for surviving all this time... makes me wonder what would have happened to Apple had the iMac was a bust or Jobs didn't come back to the company again...

what the hell was your friend on? dude...i'm not sure how he can still be your friend after that--unless he was emotionally charged, I guess I can understand where that came from. If he still has that same attitude, maybe you guys should part ways. but yeah, that is a kind of odd thing to say if you were looking for some type of solace...

ah, i didn't notice that there was a difference--so, it is better said that we should have the ability to use a 24-hour clock instead of military time...

so, that's how they put stuff in the global right-click list... I've always wondered how they did that...

An update...

Congress has now intervened and given the woman's family one last shot... should congress have intervened in such a public matter that is localized in a state or they shouldn't have?

to me, I don't think they should--there are other pressing matters right now such as our budget and our foreign relations...

daylight savings time is a notion created as a way to save energy by taking advantage of daylight that is available. As a result, I believe miltary time is uneffected because offensives and stands are now independent of time in this day and age--they can happen at anytime

i don't have that enabled...takes up too much space in the explorer window. It's weird though since I did like the file manager for Win 3.1

with a 64-bit CPU you do have 2^64 of addressable space. The publically released version of windows doesn't take advantage of the 64-bit processor if you have one. However, Microsoft still has a beta 64-bit version of windows floating around.

If you want to take full advantage of a 64-bit, get a G5 Mac

Sonic and Knuckles barely edges out Sonic 2 as my favorite Sonic game.

Sonic 3 is probably the one I like the least because I've never been able to beat it. I just can't get past a certain section of the casino style place...

that is one of the things I didn't like about norton's antivirus...the updates weren't free--or well, the versions that I had anyways

i went a while without having virus protection...that was stupid until I got a virus

"Welcome to the Sega Help Line. To pass the rotating platforms in Sonic 3's Carnival Night Zone, press up and down repeatedly to move the platform in those directions." -Supposedly, the welcome message for the Sega Help Line, circa 1994. I'm not kidding.
That's it makes me want to play sonic 3 now and try it...

sonic 1 was alright but i despised the labyrithn level and the lack of functionality...
