I think the best place to check is the manual of the CD player. If the manual of the CD player doesn't tell you, then the CD player (and it's maker) have no reason to stay in business....

How about a class on operating systems:
http://www-inst.eecs.berkeley.edu/~cs162/

They are building an operating system using Java I believe. But nevertheless, the concepts are still the same. I'm not sure how much of a bootstrap you need to get started though...

The lectures page should tell you the concepts of OS design. Other stuff on the page might be useful. Here is the textbook of the course if you are too lazy to find it.

Operating System Concepts, by Silberschatz, Galvin and Gagne, Wiley.

I believe you have to change the default class's font to effect the command results...

I prefer the ice cream cake because it is less likely to be very, very, very sweet. I've had cakes in the past in which the icing makes you want to throw up the moment it touches you tongue because it is sooo, god darn sweet

hmm...i've racked up about 7,000 posts in the past 20 months. If I didn't slow down for the last 10 months I surely would have hit 10,000 by now... anyways, I wonder if I can make it to 10,000 before two years

Well, alcohol causes similar effects like marijuana in the sense that judgement is impaired.

I think legalizing it will be better for the long run since as it pointed out, it will be regulated and when it is regulated, things are better off. However, it won't be easy in the States for getting it to be legalize because of the diversity in this country--which to me sometimes inhibits progress here...

But anyways, California has already made marijuana legal--although legal issues prevent it from takeing effect (well, I think California passed it to be legal--or was that medical marijuana?)

some process in the task manager has to tell you why your computer runs at 99%. Otherwise, something in your windows configuration is now messed up...

Probably--i dunno what is going on over there but they are 2nd in the Northwest division and not in the playoffs

As for Phil Jackson, he has said numerous times he'll never coach the knicks but

In other news, the Atlantic division actually has a division leader over .500

hmm...4th place; i figured I would have dropped more than that...also, I realized something--that LM tag kept me low in the ACS rankings. Since I no longer have that LM tag, I'm back to my old self

it'll be only matter of time before they are decrypted. there are "gifted" people out there. I believe the same held true for the GBA--that there was an emu for it before it was formally released...

The same way an OS built with x86 code -- a processor that handles bytecode

I have yet to take the course but yeah--just because the OS sits on top of another OS doesn't mean it is an OS by its own right...
