Posted on 01-12-05 08:25 PM, in Give Me a Quater, and I Shall Give You Trigun Link
Dark Horse Comics has announced plans to release a special 25-cent, 24-page TRIGUN comic book next month titled WOLFWOOD. Serving as an introduction to the second volume in the Japanese anime series, Dark Horse is hoping that the specially priced book will attract new fans from comic book patrons as well as grab the interest of fans of the anime that may not have heard of the TRIGUN comic series before.

Formatted just as one of the Japanese manga comics would be, so that the reader follows the story by reading right-to-left across the page, the special issue centers on Wolfwood, the fighting priest that is friend to Vash the Stampede in the TRIGUN universe. The comic will examine Wolfwood's quest to understand Vash's vow to never kill another human again, as well as feature plenty of action for the two adventurers to face.

With art and writing by Yasuhiro Nightow, the 25-cent TRIGUN: WOLFWOOD will hit store shelves on February 9, while the first issue of the second TRIGUN volume arrives on February 23.

Very intresting indeed. Hopefully I'll get this at my anime/comic store.

Kicks ass. Really, it does. I was going to PM you saying that, but then I just went to look for the thread about it.

I have about 500 DVDs, anime, TV shows, and then some. I have a list, but not on this compy and it would be a bit insane to post it here.

Question: We've been getting the game cards into the store, but not the actual game. Now, I was talking to a customer, who said that the reason why they stopped shipment of the actual game, is because the servers are way to over crowed, and then some. Does anyone know about this?

I have the entire Family Guy series on DVD, but its still nice to see it getting some air time, outside of Cartoon Network.

This new series seems a bit promising, lets just hope that it is.

I'm not gonna dog the new Family Guy, until I see it. I don't think anything could out do the classic FG, but nonetheless, it might still make us laugh.

I used to be on the computer all the time. And I started to use the net when I was 19 and living on my own. It was something new to me and I would have a lot of fun with it. And besides, I was broke most of the time, and being onlien was somewhat free, save for the bills.

As the years went on, I noticed that I was online a lot. If I wasn't at work, I was on the computer. I knew something had to be done. I mean, I would spend 15+ hours on the comp on my days off.

So I slowly pushed myself away from the net. Also, loosing the connection during certain times helps too.

I just started to play more games, watch my favortie shows, and just go out in general.

Since almost a year ago, I've noticed that I've been online less and less now. Sure, there's people online that I still somewhat chat with and that I miss, but I just don't want to be online anymore. Its no longer on the top of my list.

It is a slow process, but once you find better things to do, you'll find that you won't be missing the net that much.

As far as gaming goes, I've been playing since I was 4, so I am not going to stop there, neither is my fiance. In fact, thanks to a few certian games, they've helped me to be online less.

If you want to spend less time online, take your time with it, don't force it.

Also, just going outside and taking an hour walk has helped me too.

Longest first run game to beat for me was Xenosaga Ep. I. Took me months to finally pass it. I just hope that the second installment won't take me as long.

Then there's Star Ocean, which pissed me off and I haven't passed it yet.

At the very least, we should evaluate how well the current staff is working and see if there are any specific problems with it. If a reorganization would do the board good, I'm all for it, but at the same time, I believe that if something ain't broke, don't fix it.

In a nut shell, is this pretty much how I feel about it, save for a few things, like the inactive staff part of it. Yes, people do have lives outside this board and do need time off to deal with those matters, but being gone totally, without a post for month(s), is a bit over the top.

As for not enough local mods to watch certain forums, that why we have FMs and admins. Maybe it would be better to have a FM that's more knowledgable about hacking and so forth and do away with locals there, or keep one LM as a back-up. Just a thought that I am throwing out into the wind.

Either way, we need a group of staffers that will work together towards the same goal. Doesn't mean that we all have to like each other (), but as long as we are trying to do our best for the board as a whole, than that's good enough for me.

((yes, I have more thoughts on this, but with held at this time))
