"One danger is that a slowing storm brings many questions into play, as it would be approaching the Florida coast. Any slight, unexpected turn to the east could bring a very early landfall anywhere from Naples northward to Tampa. A deviation to the west could mean a landfall further up the coast in the Panhandle."

This is just great. So if they put up the warnings too early, people will get bored and try to go out, like Frances, but if they put it up too late, well, I don't want to think about that.

I need to call my dad to make sure hr puts up those shutters again. Chris' dad didn't take them down after Frances.

Actually, Cali gets a shit more than just earthquakes. I'll take my hurricanes any day as long as I keep away from Cali. Mudslides, fires, quakes, and so on.

Got my gas on the way home from work....don't want to wait until the last minute, like half the people here...and then they wonder why there's long lines that reach far into the street.

You really think that this should be in the CD? Some people take this day really to heart.

Myself, I was at my finace's parents house (when they still lived on the west coast of Florida) and we were there for his grandfather's funeral. The day that he was put to rest, was the day that the attacks happened.

Almost a year before 9/11, I was in the DC area and in the capital/main areas.

I didn't watch all the media coverage the days that followed. I didn't want to. I saw right as the 2nd plane hit and so on, so I know what happened.

But, finally, I was watching the 9/11 report that was on the TV a few days ago, just forgot what channel. *shurgs* Pretty much, everyone fucked up.

But then you should ask yourself this: if you had or knew someone close ot you who was in NYC or DC when this happened, and was affected by it, either by getting hurt or killed, would you still be acting and talking like this?

But then again, shit tends to happen all over the world and throughout time, and it is a shame that more than half the people of the entire world, not just of this country, could give a rat's arse about it.

Anal, that might be an understatement, and I might sounds, oh what's the word, "lame" for saying this, but I was walking to the video store one day and there was an amerian flag on the ground, the type that you put on your car's window, and I picked it up.

Call me dumb, but something about seeing that flag on the ground bothers me.

Oh, and I don't know how to fold it right either, but I've seen it done before at miltary funerals and the likes.
