Yeah, the font is the last thing I usually do. As far as a thread goes I don't think there is anymore, I think it got buried after all of the positions for the hack got filled

Well I think the whole point of this Console undertaking is to make a new console. Nintendo already made the NES, so what would be the point of making it again? They're making thier own console. It's not an NES and they know that. It's supposed to be like an NES and is compatible with it's games, but it's still not supposed to be the same thing. I think it would actually be dumber if they were just building an NES console, like what would be the point? If I wanted an NES I would just go to the Record Exchange and drop the $50 for a top loader.

I don't think that was a joke. If I'm not mistaken this is showing off ev0's wide font in an actual game. Oh and awesome layout Setz (mainly because of the Steelers logo)

Yeah there is, you see that "The world has become a place" on the bottom? That's his new font, I mean at least I'm sure that this is the point of the hack.

Here's a couple of shots of some SMB stuff I'm working on that's not part of the group hack. I'm doing a sequel to Dream Factory Doki! Doki! Panic. The game stars Papa, and he's on a mission to rescue the children and Mama. Along with Uncle, they will travel all troughout Egypt-Land fighting off monsters to save the day. It will be even more awesome if I can figure out SMB Remodeler. It's kind of hard because it's in Japanese and all.

Just in time Dcahrakos! My rom got corrupted while I was doing some hex editing and I had to use an old backup, but this made getting it back up to speed a lot easier.

I got them. I kept it the same style as SMB on purpose, though I am going to put in a few custom tiles to clean up the letters. You're rght, I might change the castle tiles. I just realized that I had a cool tile on reserve if I ever needed it.

Nevermind, it was worse. It's better suited for Metroid or Castlevania or something. I think I'm just going to stick with what I got.

Oh of course, I just haven't gotten to that point yet, though it is rapidly approaching. All I have left now is some spriting, and then I'm going to start doing levels. I might poke around SMB remodeler a bit too, I might see what new things I can do with the enemies.

Thanks for pimping me out Kasper! I was actually just about to say something about my site. The board is a little buggy, but I'm not too too worried about that, I'm more worried about having a site where I host people's hacks for them. The board is like the extra bells and whistles with the site. If you send me a full hack, make sure you write something to let me know what it is in the subject line a la "SoandSo's Adventures" (NES HACK), otherwise I'll probably think it's spam.

Oh and CF, I was thinking about maybe mirroring the hacks TEK hosts up? How about it big guy? *puppy dog eyes?*

This hack is awesome, The difficulty and level design are actually like a real NES game which isn't too common somtimes in rom hacks. I did just get frustrated on the Zelda II level though lol I can't find my way out...

With the way this semester is going, I don't really get a lot of time to hack, so I'm just doing a small GFX project while I have free time. It's going to be Jump Man vs. Donkey Kong. It's just an updated GFX hack of Donkey Kong for NES. It will probably be done in a week or less if I have enough time. Here's a few shots of what's done so far.

I got a question that I would normally be able to answer myself, but my brain has been fried all semester. I made new GFX for the bridge scene, and I'm trying to re-arrange it all so it will make the pretty picture I'm going for, but I can't figure out where the data starts for me to edit. can anyone give me a hand?

Here's a concept of the Bridge Scene for FF: The Crescent of Civilius. It will become reality as soon as I can figure out how to edit the GFX for the bridge scene... It's being a royal pain in the rear.



On another note, I'll probably make 2 releases. The first one will have the main game, which is kind of short in comparison to the original FF. The second will be an expansion with all the sidequests. The reason I'm doing that, is because this game has already been in the process of being made for about 2 years and I just want to get it out.

I'm going to have at least 10% of the game done by the end of the month, everything leading up to the bridge. The events up untill the boat are going to stay pretty much the same, when you get the boat though the game is going to be completely non-linear, where you can travel to 4 different islands to save that part of the world, all leading up to the final battle. Nice screens by the way!

I figured I would post a new screen. I'm editing other stuff while I try to figure out where the bridge scene's GFX data is at, and this is a new boss I made. Every story needs a villian and in The Crescent of Civilius the villian is Valkner the Spiteful here's how he appears at the beginning of the game:
