Let me make an analogy for you. |
Let's say that shit paintings - the art of slinging shit against a canvas - was started today by one guy. Someone notices and goes "Oh, that seems like a neato way of expressing ones self. I think I'll try it." However, this fad eventually becomes popular overnight, and while there may be the few who have the art of shit sling down to a T, the majority of people are using the wrong textured shit, or are just doing the same thing as everyone else. Eventually, because of the majority of the shit paintings being the same thing over and over, people start to despise shit paintings, and the real artists - the ones who actually bring shit paintings to a whole new level - are ashamed. Sprite recolors/edits aare the same way.While edits can be cool, recolors were only nice the first few times. After that, they turned into plain, boring shit.

What you should do is draw the tail going down. However, a way you could do it is draw it going from behind the wing down behind what he's perched on. That should work fine. |
