Hi, I'm Deathfile. I'm 16, and have never modded anything for nintendo, but did for diablo 2, so i know how long it takes to make a working, complete hack. I know how to program in java and C++, but not enough that it would be of any use

I own a gamecube but my favorite games were on super nintendo: super mario world, zelda3, FF5 and 6, and super marioRPG. I looked around the board and gave up any hopes of hacking FFs for SNES or mario RPG, and tried messing around with lunar magic and hyrule magic, but had a lot of trouble with zelda even after reading the help file, so i registered.

I tried out super mario demo world and omegas zelda hack, and also gamemakr's zelda1 hack, and they were all awesome. The link is down for euclid's zelda3 hack, but thats subject for another post.

Anyway, I hope to have a good run here on acmlm, and contribute a zelda3 hack sometime in the way distant future!

I just finished this hack, and it was awesome. It ran relatively bug-free (except in the zora area and a few other minor things which were mentioned earlier), and was really fun. I thought the third dungeon boss was a little too hard and repetitive for having just the first sword, but the ending was really cool and fun, though very difficult as well. I thought it was a great way to put those bosses in. Anyway, the hack was great overall, and I had an awesome time playing it. Thanks, Omega!

Hack looks great, but the link is down. I get a "We're sorry, but this page is currently unavailable for viewing. " error from geocities, even with a "save link target as." I tried both of the ones you gave so far, do you have a new link?

Oh, and on a kinda-related note, any plans on finishing the Hyrule Magic guide? (http://www.geocities.com/libercy/HyruleMagic/index.html) I think that would be a huge help to me and others, as the help file that comes with HM isnt very in-depth.

EDIT: Nevermind, I got it to work. was a problem with mozilla, I had to delete the ".zip" at the end. Still curious about the guide though.

Yeah I definitely know what you mean. No rush on anything.

I'm playing through the hack now, and its pretty cool, but I'm stuck looking for the 2nd dungeon. I found something in the graveyard, but after the 2nd room theres a locked door and i cant find the key (actually i can see a key in the first room, but its stuck in the wall in the bottom left, and boomerang cant go through a wall like that. I have a screenshot but no place to upload it to). I have the hammer, but not the glove or flippers.

In the room where the hammer is, there is another little chest to the right of the screen. It appears small at first, but when you open it, you get a treasure that looks like the first sword, and then it turns into a bigger chest so you have to jump off. Mean little trick if that was intentional

Is there such a thing as a console controller, like a playstation controller, that can be plugged into a computer in a USB slot or something? If so, what emulators support it, and where can you buy it? Thanks.

I'd get a PS3 if it supports backwards capability (can play PS1 and PS2 games) because I don't own a PS now. And who can turn up a system that has new mario and zelda games available on it?
