| There is a long pause. Then finally, Yiusi speaks softly. "I understand. You are free." Yiusi fully turns around and walks to the crumpled Avatar. Her guardian spirit/Yiusi Ball temporarily out of commission, she has only one option. With a wave of her hand, a sphere appears around the Avatar to engulf it. The sphere, though technically a type of portal, is essentially more like a black hole in that it continuously damages anything inside. The stationary attack lasts for a long time. Yiusi hopes it will work as she turns again and walks away, continuing through the forest, which, surprisingly, is still just as peaceful as ever. |

| "Quit? Nah, neither of us are in that state yet. Let's go." Tuxydon fires the crossbow. As the trigger is pulled, a razor-sharp ice crystal forms where the bolt should be (there was no bolt initially loaded on the bow), and is flung at crossbow speed at Cappa. (Such a tactic is unmatched in bringing down Pheonix, though it may not work nearly as well against other targets...) Tuxydon hopes the ice-bolt will bring Cappa off balance long enough to be hit by his next tactic, which Tuxydon brings out another throwing knife to execute shortly... |

OOC: Thanks Kire. You're unmatched in the art of starting FFA's.  A while ago... at about the time of Kire's signal... an entire planet away, the crystal on a girl's helmet begins humming, glowing a pure white in the process. "Ami?" Korrachi was the one to speak, curious of the signal his sister was recieving. Amiachi, the girl recieving the signal, places her palm gently on Korra's forehead, telepathically sharing her thoughts with him. Korra sees a large, steel dome in Ami's vision, described exactly as Kire explained. Along with the vision are the telepathic words, "Free For All. Bring what you'd like." Ami removes her hand, giving Korra his own vision back. "Wow... Every time you do that I feel divine. Okay, a Free For All? That's cool! After our adventure just now I feel in the mood for some relaxation... What could be better than a spar? Ami, shall we?" Without speaking, she nods. Korra and Ami high-five each-other. "Let's show them the strength of Team Gemini's bond," Korra remarks. Moments later, Ami and Korra fly through space, encased in a telepathic bubble created by Ami's cosmic telepathy, headed toward the dome Ami visualizes from the beacon. They approach a green planet. "Hey, we've been here before! Awesome. I wonder if anyone will recognize us?" Korra has always loved battles. Now, the two 10-year-old kids with unknown origins make their way to yet another fight. They breach the atmosphere of the planet... they approach the dome and find a door. Korra places his hand on the handle and turns to Ami. "Okay... ready?" She nods, and he swings open the door. At once, Korra and Ami are faced with three figures who what seems to be quarreling amongst themselves. "Oh geez... Maybe it wasn't a battle. Well, we're peacekeepers. Let's see what needs to be done..." The kids make their way to the action, not expecting to be attacked. OOC: Which means if they ARE attacked, it just makes things a bit funnier. (Hint hint...) |

| As the puppet headed toward Korra and Ami suddenly, they took a defensive stance, but as it was pulled away from them they relaxed again. "Ami... there's our target," Korra says, grinning. "Always attack the foe who attacks you first." He turns to Kankurou. "I saw that! You wanna spar? Got it! Begin Round One! Ami, Gemini Arrow formation!" Korra leaps up and away from Ami, and in midair turns toward Ami. He fires from his right hand a sphere of lightning, which flies expertly into the crystal in Ami's helmet, supercharging her. She reacts by firing a FAST beam out of the crystal toward Kankurou, which pierces armor and does medium damage, possible chance of paralysis (the lower the armor, the higher the chance). "GEMINI ARROW!!" Korra yells as they attack as a team. |

More info on Yiusi is explained in the profile, of course. Good luck. "Where are we going now, Yiusi?" "I don't know. I need to find an employment of some kind... Last I heard, Tuxydon became a hunter. But that isn't my style." "True, true. Let's head north... There's supposed to be an ancient town in the mountain reigon... You could probably learn something there." "Interesting. Let's go, then." Yiusi silently communicates with her Guardian Spirit (a.k.a. the Yiusi Ball) as she walks from the town on the edge of the forest. The Guardian is enfused with her right now, as she has had no need to call it out of her into it's Yiusi Ball form. Yiusi, an ex-Oracle, has the appearance of an 18 year old girl. She wears a gold, flowing dress, a bit short so it does not drag on the ground, with a magenta stripe down either side. Her gold hair flows behind her beautifully. She looks sore of like a princess, and in a sense, she is. Yiusi was created from the genes of an Oracle Princess to guard a chosen one for 1000 years... but after defying her destiny, the Oracle Lord, Kyr'Shei, sentenced her to one lifetime among mortals. Almost immediately after, she met Zerodius and they had a divine battle, her first one ever, where Yiusi learned of the bond between her and the Yiusi Ball. Sunset has begin to cloak the plains after a while. The reds and oranges envelop the flat terrain, shining off anything nearby-- rocks or trees, or at least the few that exist. The mountains are still quite a ways off, and the sun is sinking behind them in the distance. Short grass covers the landscape except for where there is a dirt road, unchanging in direction, that leads both north and south. Yiusi is charmed by the beauty. | Without so much as a word or even a facial expression, Schwa throws his hands outward, sending three strong ripples of air outward. The air waves blast all projectiles backward, away from Schwa. A few may or may not hit Metal. "I am done playing around, evil guardian!" Schwalemental's voice echoes to him. "We may be friends someday, but as long as you defend the dark side you are my ENEMY!" Silver forks of lightning jolt from the pointed end of the tornado, striking nothing in particular but giving a dramatic clue that Schwa, from inside his elemental, is readying an attack. Then, without warning, the elemental with Schwa inside flies at Metal at a quick velocity, coated in a sphere of thunder! "Thunder Dash!" This attack will buffet the recipitent backward and cause lightning damage. While the attack power of Thunder Dash is normal, the second hit the foe takes after being knocked to the ground or into a wall adds to the danger-level of this attack. If the attack connects, Schwalemental moves backward to his initial position as quickly as he advenced; if the attack misses, Schwalemental doesn't move to his initial position but doesn't hit the wall due to the fast-moving cushion of air created around the tornado. Schwa is ready for anything in this form. A good portion of his psychic abilities have been transformed into pure instinct power. |

| OOC: This is a direct challenge to Grey. Use any character of yours that you choose. (The thread title may be a little misleading; you don't HAVE to use Detective Grey...) Normal rules. You wanted a battle against Tuxydon? Come an' get it! You're a very good writer, as am I, and I expect this to be a remembered battle; a clash of the elites, if you know what I mean. Good luck. "TSEEEEEROW!!" "Gotcha." The sound came instantly after the razor-sharp bolt of ice struck the Pheonix's heart. The Pheonix was literally knocked out of the sky and caught on a gold fire as it plummeted into the underbrush below. Tuxydon, ex-Oracle and skilled Pheonix-hunter, dashed ahead to meet the Pheonix before it crashed. The trick was, a Pheonix can NOT die, but it can be dead for a moment. Being a Pheonix hunter, Tuxydon knew he would only have a very short time to gather it's wing and crest before it turned into ash and be reborn in another time and place. Being a pretty darn good hunter, he would've hoped to be by the Pheonix before that happened. He knew he could make an insane amount of gold selling a Pheonix Crown and a Pheonix Ring; the former was known to give high attack power in battle and the latter was known to up the fire resistance of the wielder. That was his employment; he sold these two artifacts to merchants and shopkeepers. That is how he put bread on his table, and he was proud of himself for finding an employment he was so good at so early in his mortal life. Kyr'Shei would definitely be proud of him, he thought. Tuxydon was a tan-skinned man with no shirt so others could see his muscular build; he wore a towel around his neck, and his lower tunic was jet-black. He carried throwing knives on his belt and a mystic crossbow on his back that was able to launch an unlimited supply of razor ice-bolts. In his belt were also found an assortment of other weapons, not to mention a peculiar knife that, when viewed from the side, looked like a shark's maw. Tuxydon raced through the semi-forest (a forest that wasn't very dense, basically), following the blazing streak of the dying Pheonix that plummeted to an unknown location ahead of him. In front of him was a small ledge that dropped into a narrow rocky creek. He leaped across the ledge and landed, but his foot twisted the wrong way as he did so and was brought down hard. Though shocked, he was unhurt and able to get up quickly, but as he did so his eye caught that of a shadowy figure standing about 20 feet away, slightly valed by the small bushes in front of the figure. For now he was completely sidetracked, losing the goal of chasing the Pheonix and now occupied by whoever it was watching him. "Who are you?" he started. "Are you watching me or what? Speak up I say!" OOC: Whew... Guess I just can't help making long intros.  |

| Korra had landed on the ground at about the time Karasu attacked. "Wrong target, you say? Nope! It's a fair spar, 2 on 2!" Korra backflips as the puppet races toward him, landing on Ami's shoulders, who flings him in a high frontflip. Then she, herself, quickly frontflips over the drill as well, though not anywhere near as high as Korra, who has been flipped up to half of the dome's height! "I've been meaning to try this out. Watch me, sister!" Ami doesn't watch Korra, being on watch for the drill instead. Korra curls up into a steel ball as he flies downward. (OOC: Korra wears a cybornetic suit... It's mentioned in his Profile. Sorry for not describing it earlier, I guess...  ) The steel ball rockets past Karasu and half-homes in on Kankurou. The ball will cause normal damage and shock the foe a tiny bit. After the attack (after it either hits or misses), Korra uncurls and lands on his feet either in front of or behind Kankurou. Ami and Korra are on opposite ends of the dome now."Oh boy, who'll it be, me or her? Think carefully now!" Korra taunts. He's used to having others judge him on his young appearance, but he's proven time and time again that he is a peachekeeper that means business. He takes great pleasure in sparring, and hopes his foe doesn't take this battle too seriously. |

| "So you're a puppet master!" Korra exclaims. Both peacekeepers dodge and counterattack; Korra frontflips over the charging Kuroari, holding out his right arm in mid-flip, launching a formation of three spheres of thunder at the puppet. Ami frontflips over Karasu and fires a trio of psychic energy rings out of the crystal at that puppet. They land from their flips at the same time and run towards each-other. "Ami, Burst Bomb, quickly! It causes area-of-effect damage, perfect to beat these three characters." As they run, Korra's right hand morphs, like liquid metal, into an arm cannon, and Ami's crystal in her helmet begins to change color to a red-orange swirl. When they reach each-other, Ami holds her palm on Korra's cannon, and the pattern on her crystal vanishes as the cannon gains the pattern instead. Korra points the cannon at Kankurou, preparing to fire. "This is the Team Buster," he explains. "It doesn't work unless we both pitch in to activate it. That's like most of our attacks, anyway. So, your puppets are on opposite ends of the dome, you and we are in the middle... Move and I'll ignite you. What do you do?" |

| OOC: Whoa! Odin is a Norse God! He traded his left eye to drink from the Well of Knowledge, if I am correct. Hmhm... Yiusi's last battle was ALSO vs. a God, and she happened to win. Ask Zerodius, he'll tell you. (In that battle, though, I say we're both winners. ) Okay, let's get it on! Yiusi stops walking and stares at Odin. "You're disturbing the beauty of the scene. I am not your enemy. See you later." She walks past the stranger, getting what che can out of the sunset view and not even turning around once to look back at Odin. If Odin wants a battle against Yiusi, he'll have to WORK! Yiusi is as docile as they come. |

| Tuxydon watches the man for a moment, when suddenly in the distance, the sound of a gas explosion is heard. "Oh f---! The Pheonix! I forgot!" He starts to run, but he knows it's hopeless to catch up with the fallen Pheonix at this point. By the time he'd get there, it would be ash and nothing but. Tuxydon quits running and drops to his knees. "No! No no no no..." He then suddenly turns on the part-mechanical stranger. "You-- you clockwork coward! You did that on purpose! Sidetracking a hunter like this..." He immediately draws his crossbow off his back and fires into Kalar's chest. Immediately a razor-sharp ice-shard with ridged edges forms inside the crossbow and is flung like an arrow at Kalar. The rage lasted only for a moment, as Tuxydon sits down and covers his face, trying to calm down. This character, known now to Kalar, does NOT like, nor can deal with, faliures. Probably unknown to Kalar, this is Day 3 of his mortal life, and he is not used to the fact that life is filled with both wins and losses. That still doesn't change the fact that an ice shard is on it's way to Kalar... |

| The moment Kankurou flinches, Korra fires! Out of the cannon fires a bowling ball-sized sphere of red fire, which, upon hitting something, explodes into a flurry of ignitable embers that shoot in every direction nearby. Korra turns just in time to see one of the puppets flying toward him, and he would have been captured as well, but Ami saw it first, grabbed Korra's arm and flung him backward. In midair, Korra is nailed by the poison bomb which coats him in the gas, but being part-cybornetic, he is not poisoned; just damaged. Meanwhile, Ami frontflips over Korra's puppet which was trying to trap him. Korra lands on the other side of the dome, on his feet. Ami is on the opposite end of the dome, and Kankurou appears to be in the middle still (but who knows? He may have moved around by now due to Burst Bomb). Korra and Ami remain silent for now, ready to attack again if necessary. Korra wonders, perhaps, if the puppets count as summoned creatures... He has to find out for his strategy to work. |

| Yiusi half-turns her head toward Odin behind her. "Zerodius was scarier than you. That is because he taught me of something very important; individuality. He said it cannot be taken from me. Whether you kill me or not doesn't matter; you'll never get me willingly, and that makes it a no-gain for you." Suddenly, Yiusi gets a private telepathic message from Guardian. "Yiusi, he's not out to kill you. He's just trying to sound intimidating. Trust me." "Hmm... Explain, Guardian." "He's just in the mood to spar. Now don't take him up on the offer yet... Wait until the opportunity shows itself. You don't want him to think you're uncanny. Yet." Yiusi smiles at that last comment, and now fully turns around to face Odin. She calmly walks up to him and holds out her hand. "Yiusi here. Can I help you?" Her voice is as innocent as ever. |

| Korra and Ami walk closer to the newcomer, Krauser. Korra speaks. "Hi, we're Team Gemini. We're peacekeepers on a day off for a sparring match. You want to see the power in our bond? You got it!" Ami and Korra are next to each-other. "Ami, Ice Cannon now. It's more of a straightforward projectile." Ami concentrates and her crystal gains a blue cloudy pattern on it. When she places her palm on Korra's cannon, the cannon's red pattern is replaced with the pattern on Ami's crystal. Ice Cannon has been equipped to the Team Buster. "Introductions are necessary. This is the Team Buster. Ami loads it, I fire it. We have seven or more weapon choices. We'll start with the reliable Ice Cannon. Think fast!" Korra fires, and the cannon releases an energy blast of blue, frozen, ice energy, aimed at Krauser's chest. The attack does good ice-damage, but it doesn't even cause a small explosion if it misses; it just fizzles out. Korra is already thinking of a strategy for them to use against Krauser, but he or Ami doesn't know much about him yet. |

| Yiusi smiles. "You are an honest person. Just a moment..." She turns around to silently communicate with her Guardian. "Who is this Odin guy? First he threatens to kill off a village, now he's all admitting he's all talk and just wants to spar because... Remind me why?" "Yiusi, if you and I want to learn anything about him, the best way is to face him in a spar. Oracles are too complex to be learned of easily, anyway. He'll have a tough time gathering data about the Yiusi Ball, anyway..." "Okay. Wish me luck." Yiusi turns around again to face Odin and steps back about ten paces. "Okay, you and I will spar. Learn as best you can, okay? "Okay... Yiusi Ball, come out!" She holds her right hand up and does a circular motion with her left. Instantly, small white spheres begin to fly out of her right arm and hover above her right hand. The spheres merge together, and soon they have formed a softball-sized orb of cream-colored, glowing, gel-like energy. It is a ball of Oracle energy known as the Yiusi Ball. Yiusi has called her Guardian out into weapon-form. "You attack first," Yiusi says, careful not to reveal her plan. By calling out the Yiusi Ball, she has automatically activated her secret ability, which takes effect in exactly 12 turns whether she likes it or not. |

| Yiusi quickly holds the Yiusi Ball upward to let it take the hit. As she is hit, she is knocked backward and to the ground, but the Yiusi Ball, having been hit by most of the attack as well... is glowing a little brighter for some reason. "Great, Yiusi, I got his biological data!" "Ssh, I need to concentrate." The Yiusi Ball has gathered a portion of life data from the target by being hit with an attack. Oracle Energy is very peculiar; it studies anything it touches and then changes form to interact with those things better. Guardian, in Yiusi Ball form, is attempting to gather data of attacks so it can conjure up the perfect defense or counter to them in the future. That's the strategy Yiusi uses in battle. "Watch. I don't play aggressively." Yiusi throws the Yiusi Ball at Odin after his landing; halfway to him it increases in speed. After it hits or misses, the ball reverses direction and flies right back into Yiusi's hand. A direct Yiusi Ball attack should cause medium damage. Yiusi half-expects Odin to mock her if she hits him, since the attack isn't nearly as powerful as Odin's Dragon Rush, which DID hit her, after all... |

| Tuxydon gets up and glares at Kalar. "I'm not happy for what you did... I was hunting a Pheonix with this crossbow," he holds the crossbow up for Kalar to examine, "and I felled it. You can't kill a Pheonix. When it dies, it turns to ash a minute later and is reborn some other place. My profession is Pheonix hunting; I make Pheonix Crowns and rings to sell, and I tell you, they sell for a LOT. "I'm upset because Pheonix are incredibly rare; I usually find one once a week. I just felled one, I was chasing it's aerial trail to intercept it to get it's crown before it became ash... And what happened? I look over and somebody's WATCHING me! I can't have that, so I went and confronted you... and I forgot all about the Pheonix. "You distracted me! You shouldn't be here right now! What business do you have with me? Speak up or I'll fight you!" Tuxydon is a man of honor, but he is also an outcast. His colliding feelings sometimes grieve him, making him a bit more edgy sometimes... |

| Oh man... I had a Sonic 1 hack finished before you even got started on this hack! (Get it at my homepage, check my Profile.) Still, awesome hack. I was into Sonic hacking for quite some time. Are you using SonEd or ESEII? The latter is something you generally want to avoid in Sonic 2 hacking, take it from an advanced Sonic hacker, bro. You should call the first level Autumn (something), not just Emerald Hill. There is an editor you can use to change the names of the levels. It's turning out great, man. I like your creativity with the spikes and the bridge... I would personally never suggest it, but it's creative, and that's what I go for. Keep up the mastery! Yeah! Hey, how is Chemical Plant going to look? With some insane tile editing skills, you could turn it from a factory into something similar to Stardust Speedway in Sonic CD... That's always been a big dream of mine. But you probably have your own ideas. What I go for in Sonic hacks are levels with many, many different ways to get to the exit. It's hard to do, but it makes a helluva level. Any other questions, PM me and I'll help you out. I'm a Sonic fanatic; been playing the games since I was 3 years old. I know everything about the games, so you can trust me. EDIT: All the GFX in the Rom except Sonic and Tails's GFX are compressed. | "Here it comes..." "Here it comes..." Yiusi and Yiusi Ball share the very same thoughts as the attack closes in. They are one... in a way. Yiusi is not capable of backflips or aerial tricks like the extremely focused, in-control Schwa, but she does pack quite a mystical defense. She runs forward and, holding the Yisui Ball outward, actually runs into the blast, taking it full on. Once again she is knocked down, but gets up. "Yiusi! No need to overdo it... He'll think something is suspicious. Although I did gather quite a portion of life data from that..." "Just doing it for you. Besides, I feel our bond beginning to build again... Just like in our fight against Zerodius." "But of course! When the bond is strong enough, we gain the power to merge into Prism Form, remember?" "Yes! That's an awesome, downright cosmic feeling. I hunger for it almost." Yiusi faces Odin again, and decides to throw him off guard. "I'll keep you busy for a while," she says to him. Moving her hands in a circle above her head, a shimmering, magenta light appears in midair behind her, and in 2 seconds the light has formed into a wavering portal. To finish her technique, she holds the ball in both her hands, points it at Odin, and lets go. It flies at Odin like before, only much faster and it makes a cannon-firing sound when she lets go. The attack does only a little more damage at this speed. Once again, hit or miss, the ball will fly back to Yiusi's hand. The merge will take place in at least 10 turns. |
