Schwa lands the Disc on a lower balcony, the one that looks designed for take-offs and landings (a Runway), and waits for Corona to do the same. "In here you may be dazzled. If you feel the need to shield your eyes, don't hesitate. I did so on my first visit.  "And Schwa psychically opens a small crystal door nearby, stepping inside the Psipalace and waiting for Corona to follow him. The inside of the Palace is like heaven. It gleams with all bright shades of blue and teal, constructed in a manner that would bring an architect to his knees in amazement; there are arches lining the hallway and many, many doors on both sides of the huge, curved-right hallway... There are even capsule-shaped elevators in the walls at intervals, allowing passage to the higher floors. And the hall ends in a large gate, on which is painted a never-before seen rune, cycling in a red, yellow and blue glow. Psi Warriors walk through this hall, some even without blindfolds, some talking and some telepathically talking, all friendly... Schwa blends right in. Corona, not being dressed in white, stands out quite a bit... but the few that do look at him are friendly in manner; some even salute him. |

| (First off, I deeply apologize if this is the wrong forum. I wouldn't know exactly where to put a topic like this. If it needs to be moved, by all means do so.) I'm a HUGE Sonic the Hedgehog fan... but of the old generation, the Genesis Era, not the new Sonic. Ah, the Genesis Era... Those, my frineds, were The Dayz! I mean, I could, like, beat Sonic the Hedgehog 2 by the time I was 5 or 6 years old. By the time I was 7 years old, I could finish the game with 31 lives remaining. Sonic 1 was even easier to beat ('cause the Final Boss wasn't as freakin' hard as they made it in S2), as well... Then, with my brother as Tails, he and I joined forces to topple the almighty Sonic 3 And Knuckles... withOUT saving. So yes, I am a Sonic fanatic... ...which is why I did this: Remixes on the Sonic 2 Soundtrack! Using a program I know by Anvil Studios, I've managed to create some pretty darn beautiful Sonic 2 Remixes, Midi format. Here are the links: Emerald Hill- Schwa Style Chemical Plant- Schwa Style Aquatic Ruin- Schwa Style Okay, these are the only ones I have done... but I promise you guys, I WILL be doing ALL the Sonic 2 levels except Sky Chase and Wing Fortress. Even Hidden Palace gets a turn, as do the 2-player musics. I find this very fun to do, and will keep you posted. | Schwa winces. "Ow, unlucky you! Those things hurt!" Suddenly, he obtains a sense of fear for being falsely accused of violence. "Oh yeah, by the way, that wasn't me who did that to you... But ask yourself THIS question. Why challenge the Ztar when you could be duking it out against The Schwa? It'll certainly be harder than any giant chicken you've ever fought..." Schwa has already been reading Stinkoman's mind to come up with that one. But just a little... Then he thinks, "Oh wait, should I even be challenging the great Stinkoman? He shows no mercy... And if he can fell a giant chicken so easily, this battle may be short lived... *gulp* " Nevertheless, there's no backing down now... |

"You're pretty observant," Schwa tells him. "Also, the multicolored glow is due to the Living Assets flowing through this palace. The runes are especially crafted to glow from their power. Virtue is red, Respect yellow, and Honor blue. But if you think that's amazing, wait 'till you see what's behind it.  "Schwa steps up to the Rune and concentrates for a moment, silently praying to the Living Assets. Suddenly the Rune lights up hot-white, and the gate opens smoothly. Inside is an interior even more excotic than the hallway... It's a huge scantum! The huge room is shaped like a cylinder with 4 balconies along the circumfrence, each at a different elevation, all accessable thanks to smooth, glittering ramps, that the Psi Warriors seem to have no problem walking on. The floor of this room resembles a very soft inverted dome, and in the center are huge circles that form circular stairs, stacked upon one-another... and in the center of the circle-stairs is a huge pedestal with a holographic image of the rune of Delta hovering directly above it. Streams of white light flow through the blue crystal walls in a circular pattern, like spirits. The top balcony is much bigger than the others and VERY high up, and seems to have another one of those runed gates in the wall up there (but from down here it's almost impossible to tell). There's a whole lot of social activity in this place, yet it's soothing to be here at the same time. Some cute girl Psi Warriors wave and salute to Schwa, and he nods and salutes back. "Ah, yes... It always feels good to be home," Schwa sighs, relaxed. "This is the Delta Scantum, one of the four Psi Scantums here at the Palace. From here you can practically go anywhere in the Palace, for there are many more of those runed gates on each balcony you see. And at the top... Well, you'll see. That's where we're off to." |

| "You're 400 years old," Schwa says with a small sigh. "Remember, you told me while we fought that dragon. I may be a whippersnapper to you, but if you forget things that quickly, I really don't mind." He smirks and poses in his chair. Hoo hah! "But in all seriousness... I'm just a little depressed. I normally would be pretty chipper, but obviously I've had a lot to think about. It's been a week since I helped Corona out and destroyed a very Evil being in the process... Since then, I've begun to wonder... I now have three kinds of DNA in me; my human DNA, Oracle blood, and this Ma Pingon implanation... And the problem is, this Ma Pingon DNA, though less than 1% in comparison to my human side, has affected me greatly. Look at this!" He waves to his purple arm. "You can even feel it if you want. It feels like plant matter. Less than 1% did THIS to me? I shudder to think of what 5% would be like. "Will I eventually get so many DNA strands mixed in with mine... that I'll be a freak of nature?" Schwa sighs and leans back in his chair, quite depressed. The poor guy does indeed have a lot to think about. |

OOC: I hope Stinkoman isn't an all-out maul fighter... Mauls don't usually work...  Schwa doesn't give him any time. "He may talk a little funny, but he'll be tough." "Go, Oracle Spirit-Splicing Trick!" Schwa begins the battle with a unique move; he damages himself lightly trifold, flashing red those 3 times, and each time he does a blue wisp appears 5 feet from Stinkoman's head, orbiting it slowly. There are a total of 3 wisps now... but they don't seem to do anything. Schwa crouches right after using the move to regain his wind and prepare to counter anything Stinkoman sends out. Dodging isn't an option for the next 3 hits, Schwa tells himself, for the wisps will need one of Stinkoman's attacks to enter the battle for REAL... |

"Blessing of Defense!" (echo effects) In the nick of time, Schwa brings his 15% Defense-boosting ability into play, coating his ally Kaz in lavender ether for a while. Kaz is able to block Rushe's moonrock-composed projectile and suffer hardly at all. Kaz immediately counterattacks by suddenly flaring up his Afterburners embedded in his back, slamming Rushe with an outstretched fist and flooring this rather surprised Earth Mage. Immediately this brings the Master Meter to 101u, triggering Full Power and morphing Kaz into HyperKaz. HyperKaz rockets at the other foe, Crunch, sending the muscle-clad Wereboar flying back into a wall. Crunch immediately recovers his wind and picks back up his bone-scythe, to the surprise of both HyperKaz and Schwa. "Durrhurhurhur... Ya'rr gonna need ta do mo'ahr dahn dat, ya weaklin'sh." HyperKaz growls to himself as he prepares to attack again, but Rushe has recovered and conjured a nasty spell, paralyzing HyperKaz... but in the morphed form it only lasts a few seconds. Schwa takes that time to dash at Crunch and strike with: "Alpha Psibeam!" (echo effects) The holy arc of energy streaks forward, and bursts hitting Crunch in the chest. "GYARRRGH!!" the lycanthrope howels. Holy damage works wonders on him, and the one attack made a successful 1-hit KO on the target. Rushe backs up in fear as HyperKaz regains his mobility and prepares to finish him... Just then, Schwa feels a telepathic tugging to some mountain reigon or something. "Shoot... Kaz, I gotta go. This guy's no problem for you, though." "What, a Psi Warrior thing?" Kaz replies, annoyed. Schwa nods. "Well, I don't really mind... Go do your thing and tell me how it goes later. I'm going to the cafeteria in Acmlmopolis after this, anyway..." Schwa summons a Psi Disc, which is a crystal disc big enough for Schwa to stand on, which appears in a flurry of particles in front of him... steps on, and flies off. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "Dude! That's no mountain!" Schwa says to himself as he nears the site where he feels a tug at his mental energies. "Looks man-made!" Schwa circles the exterior of the rocky mound, looking for anything that could be emitting the ping... It is not soon afterwards that he finds a tunnel. "Shoot, that was so obvious it ain't even funny. Ah well, I guess I'm inside..." He lands his Psi Disc and it disintegrates into particles, which swirl apart and exit the Material Plane. Schwa then proceeds to enter the tunnel. "It's dark in here..." Schwa says aloud, feeling the ping in his mind grow stronger with each step. "There's some kind of light at the end... ...!!" Schwa stops for a moment, as he senses danger... All the sudden, he takes off at a full dash, straight ahead, quite alarmed! He just barely makes it inside the enclosure before the whole tunnel behind him caves in on itself in an orchestra of rocky, cacophonic noise! He stares back. "Oh, shoot... I've fallen into a trap, haven't I? Either that or someone nearby wants my help, hence the ping." Now inside the enclosure, Schwa is officially at the mercy of whomever is hiding nearby... in this case, Syber. |

| Unfortunately, too drained to think, Schwa tuned out Adric's 3rd and 4th paragraphs... but he did hear the last one. "Yeah... And I guess the only effective way is by trial and error. You know that, though... Even the best scholar in all the world would learn more from trial and error than from a book, even a spellbook." Schwa gets up from the table. "I'm too tired to think... I believe I'm going to take a short trip to Pentalipse before heading to HQ for the day. See ya later, Adric." He walks towards the door, but instead of exiting through it, he silently wavers and fades out of existance in teleportation. Damn... A challenge from Garro, Allaura kissing him, dinner with Yiusi, and a semi-philosophical conversation with Adric... not to mention the issue with the service... At about this time, Yiusi gets back from the counter with another Maplefruit and sits down. "Wow... Where'd Schwa go off to? He seemed pretty down." Emily the Zraku, still nearby, nods in agreement. "Oh well! At least I can still talk to you. How old are you? 45?" Yiusi can't tell Adric's age... but then again, it's not like Adric may know just from looking that Yiusi, with the appearance of an 18-year-old girl, is in fact over 900 years old. ^.^ |

| Yiusi listens thoughtfully as Adric talks about himself, and can't help but giggle when he speaks of her age. "700 years? Yeah, I'm about that old... But I've only been mortal for less than a year. I still have a lot to learn." She takes a bite of the Maplefruit. "It's a long story... Oracles can only exist in the Material Plane, normally, by following some special orders that a higher-ranked Oracle places upon them called Destinies. Breaking our Destinies is not an option... but I did anyway. Kyr'Shei, the Oracle Lord, to teach me the TRUE meaning of Destiny, sentenced me to a lifetime as a mortal... and when I die, I go back to the Oracle Haven and tell him what I learned. Schwa is a great friend of mine, and so is Janus. "If anything, you actually know more about the Material Plane than I do, even if I'm a few hundred years older. Just about my favorite thing to do is talk to as many interesting people as I can, and you definitely fall under that category." She pauses. "So you Balance Mages keep the planes of existance equalized in mana distributation, basically. That's fascinating! Oracles, though, we have a very complicated purpose... We're not like Gods in the sense that Gods create life and such... but Oracles create wisdom, so just like the Gods, we are worshipped and revered in many places. But Gods are very fickle in their nature... Unlike them, we Oracles almost never get angry, even when the ones who revere us are disrespectful. Most of us try our hardest to teach people as best as possible, and on the side we keep the greatest legends alive as well. I mean, if you have any questions about Oracles, you can feel free to ask me! I do a lot of talking about Oracle culture in cities that revere us... It's pretty enlightening watching their reaction when they find out the truth about me." Yiusi pauses and lets Adric add anything if desired, eating the last of the Maplefruit in the process. |

| OOC: It would kind of help if I knew what my foe looked like. As for you, you should already know what Schwa looks like, I believe... "Okay, wait up? Yeah... What's this about a fight?" Schwa crouches as Sybur lifts the earth chunk out of the ground... with Schwa still on it! At this angle, the chunk gets in the way of Sybur's energy blast, and Schwa is unharmed. "You telepathically lured me down here, just so you could battle me without any way to escape? What the hell!" Schwa frontflips off the raised chunk and lands on the other side of Sybur, then turns around to face him. "In case you don't know, I never fight without a good reason. Are you Good or Evil? Speak up, tell the truth, or face the Living Assets' wrath." Schwa's hands glow with blue etheral energy. Schwa isn't in a state of mind to allow a frinedly spar at this point. He concentrates, reading the mind of his opponent to learn secrets of his past, so he can determine whether Sybur is Good or Evil. Either way, calling someone to a pointless spar is uncalled for in Schwa's book. |

| Yiusi takes a good look at the book. "Oh yeah! I remember that book... though I'm not totally sure how... The Oracle Princess that created me gave me all her memories, so she might have known about this book. This was an issue in the Oracle Haven for about a year... Some higher-ranked officials wanted to make some of their powers available to mortals, and there was a huge debate in the Great Halls over the matter... Finally, Kyr'Shei allowed these tunnels to exist for 50 years to see what happens. The tunnels should be long gone by now, but the ones who were using them forgot about them before they even disappeared. And... I don't remember what happened to the few mortals that actually utilized the power... But the next time I visit a Kyr'Shei temple, I'll ask him about that. 'Sides, you got me curious! "Yeah, you know about those Oracle temples, right? I try to go to one once a week. It seems to recharge my soul with fresh energy. A few weeks ago, though, I was travelling with someone to a desert town, and the Temple there got destroyed by someone. I was so upset... And it's worse than having, like, a church you go to destroyed... My relationship with Kyr'Shei is direct, unlike many religions that exist today." |

| "We're in no hurry, are we?" Schwa replies. "Well, I suppose you'd be wanting to get to that forest you spoke of eventually... My apologies." He goes to a ramp nearby, steps on it, and is able to 'skate' up the ramp smoothly to the next balcony. "Give that a try," Schwa says, going to each ramp and skating his way up as if it were ice. "You can't fall on these! It's pretty ingenious." He makes his way to the top balcony and waits for Corona. |

| "Interesting," Schwa says, preparing. "The Ztar seems to have infected him." Then he moves-- jumping straight up in the air, HIGH, as the shots whiz under him. When he reaches the high-point of his leap, he hovers for a moment, letting one of the blasts strike him, but he defends against it with ether (plus he's 3/4 resistant to darkness, so the damage is almost nonexistant), and falls back to the ground, landing on his feet. He does flips to dodge any remaining blasts. At the same time, one of the Wisps is mutating... In 6 seconds, it has grown into a red bat with huge, round boxing gloves, and it flies to Schwa's side. "Got one," Schwa says triumphantly. "Get 'im!" The new summoned creature darts at DStinkoman, attempting to Puncha-Puncha-Puncha at a fast pace! |

| Schwa stares thoughtfully at the hologram, listening to it and Sybur's short shpiel. "Interesting. But what I'm about to tell you will not go well, I believe... Psi isn't like regular Psychic power. Yes, we have some Psychic abilities, but Psi is a MUCH more complex version, not your generic type. Psi is what we call 'the union of Mind and Soul through the Living Assets'. Basically, I have three deities infused with my soul, and that is where my power comes from. "If you wanted a generic psychic, you've got the wrong guy. But ask yourself this question: Instead of just try and learn stuff from us secretly, why not ask the entire Psi Warrior community for assistance in this... war... of yours? You should know that our job is to kill off Evil, and mind-controlling certainly falls into that category, making the Delumi our enemies..." Schwa's hands flare with white ether, as he begins charging up energy. "However, it is indeed wise to know the power a future ally holds. I will combat you in this friendly spar, and after it is finished, you may make your descision of whether our help will be desired. Whaddya say to that, uh... Sybur, is it?" remembering from the hologram. "Seriously, the Psi Warriors' existance is to help the forces of Good and destroy the forces of Evil. We really don't mind being drug into something big, not at all!" |

| "Guard!" Schwa calls to his summon, the Baxor, and it holds his fists up to half the damage. Baxor could've easily dodged the charged up shot, but Schwa has better plans. As Stinkoman's attack hits, a second wisp begins the morphing process... It, too, becomes a Baxor, but it's twice as big as the first one and it seems quite strong (named Advanced Baxor). "Hold him off for a while," Schwa commands his two summons, as he kneels and begins charging up white ether... Stinkoman has one orbiting wisp remaining, and Schwa tries something to exploit it the best... "Good thing you don't have your Fisticuff!" Who knows? Maybe he does. That's what Schwa's hoping for. |

| "Oh sure, I'm sorry I--" Yiusi, and perhaps Adric too, hears the scream from outside the SB Cafe via Forte's revenge against the thief. "Whoa! What was that?" she exclaims for a moment, then, "Ah, it doesn't really matter... Yeah, Kyr'Shei finds it hilarious to watch the smartest, most educated scholars trying to teach Oracle history... Now, I've only been to the Haven one time in my life, because of my previous Destiny and my current situation not giving me the means... but I heard from my comrades up there that it's a hilarious thing to hear the kinds of things those scholars say. "Here's my advice... If anyone wants to know anything about Oracles that is accurate, they should ask, aside from me, a Priest or Priestess at one of Kyr'Shei's temples who is at LEAST 65 years old. I say 65 because it takes many, many years for a mortal to have such a tight connection with us, so anyone relatively young may not know all the answers. And the Priests still have much to learn for real, so I tend to travel around and teach at cities with a Temple nearby... Any city without a Temple, I can guarentee you will not care what I have to say." | "Not exactly magic," Schwa says as Corona meets him at the top. "There's a great difference between Arcane and Psi. Arcane, or magic, comes from either the mind or an outside source. Psi is a form of Spiritual energy, and Spiritual comes from, of course, the soul. Psi is a variation on that, which is 'The union of Mind, Soul, and the Living Assets'. The Living Assets power everything in this palace." He approaches a runed gate in the back of the top balcony. "This gate, like the one downstairs, is where the Assets gather strongly, and by touching that rune I have direct communication with the Assets. If YOU were to touch it, I wouldn't be surprised if you fainted, at least the first time. I almost did, and the only way I stayed awake was through a Warrior Tech I knew before taking the Pact." Schwa touches the Rune, prays quickly, and like before the Rune flashes and the gate opens. Ahead of them is a long, slightly darker hallway, and the blue crystal walls and ceiling are slightly transparent... so by staring through them, you stare into a cloudy sky. At night, this is sure to look absolutely wonderous, with the stars and moon and all... There is one more runed gate at the end of this hallway, and the rune on this one is BIG and glowing more than just the three primary colors. |
