| "Have it your way," Schwa thinks. He kneels, and begins charging gold ether into his right arm, which flares over his whole body. He knows not to mess with even one turn of charged energy, so he'll play by the same twisted little game as SchwaDS... but slightly altered, because a lot of Schwa's Level 2 techs are summoning abilities. |

| HyperKaz lands, and his body morphs back into his normal self... just Kaz now. Full Power has run out, and the Master Meter has been set to 50u. Kaz peers through the fog. "This is just like in Silyph Mire on my home planet... Guerilla warfare," Kaz thinks, "but in a graveyard. His graveyard." One thing about Kaz's rage is that it is a controlled, focused, harnessed rage rather than a blind rage. That is how the Yamathians were brought up in the arts of war. Attack comes his way... he doesn't expect it. He half-flies to the right to evade the phantasm, but it catches his left arm and cuts it a small bit. "Gyrrgh!" He clutches his arm, feeling the armor's pain... (The armor is like a living creature, too) The cut will mend in time, but it won't repair the armor's integrity value and it is still painful. He focuses, hearing YDavid land somewhere in the fog... bingo. He traces the sound's origin... aims his fist, and the fist detaches from the wrist, propelled with a mini-afterburner of it's own, flying right towards YDavid at a fast speed! The attack does above-average physical damage if it hits; it's like being punched with an iron glove. After hitting or missing, the fist flies backward and reattaches to Kaz's right arm. Kaz was able to trace where YDavid was in the fog when he landed because of the noise. Master Meter = 50u + 12 for a hit. |

OOC: Glad someone besides me likes to write.  12 points added to the Master Meter. Kaz hears a blast of dark energy rocketing towards him... He afterburners straight up, then to the right and forward before landing, easily but narrowly dodging the blast. He concentrates... "This fog is trecherous," Kaz thinks. "I could fly over it, but he'd be able to see me just as well. Damn, something's supposed to be hiding in here, too... Probe." Kaz takes a capsule from a compartment in his suit, and throws it lightly in front of him. It morphs into a tiny, UFO shaped object before hitting the ground, and hovers in front of him. "Probe, search the area for body heat," Kaz whispers in a very quiet voice, one that could still give his position away. Probe beeps a few times as an antennae appears on top of the object, emitting a scan laser in a circle around it to detect heat. At the same time, Kaz activates a special visor to cover his already jet-black visor, one that allows him to see any heat Probe detects, clear as crystal, even with the presence of the fog. This ability should have no problem detecting YDavid and maybe even the monster (if the monster has body heat in it). However, the faint beeping of the Probe may be enough to give their position away to the foe (and the beast in the fog) at the same time. Still, sound is harder to detect than light. Master Meter = 55u. |

| Something doesn't feel right. That light... It seems like it could even be corroding Schwa's Deity-infused soul. "Sensae, be with me..." Instantly the feeling is gone. When Sensae offers his power to Schwa in times of peril, nothing can damage the infinite power and integrity of the Living Assets. Schwa finishes charging, and uses his ability. "Golden Friendship!" (echo effects) The gold ether shoots into a compressed disc in front of Schwa... Soon it's apparent that the disc is a portal, and a creature comes out. It's a Chao! "Solaris!" "Cha!!!" Solaris is a unique Chao... a Dark Chao, colored a reddish black but with the features of a Hero Chao. Solaris has the glossy eyes and determined visage of a Hero, the coloring and spikeball of a Dark, and small pheonix wings on his back. Gold sparkles seem to faintly follow Solaris when he flies. His battle strategy is VERY untrackable... even Schwa has no idea what Solaris may do in battle. Even Solaris doesn't! Solaris hovers next to Schwa in the air, and as he does, all the stats of both characters go up slightly, due to a tight bond they have with each-other than can never be broken. They both prepare for whatever SchwaDS has in store for them. |

OOC: The Mushroom Dome is a big enough attraction as it is, and though the ring-leaders tried to convince Schwa otherwise, he refused to allow them to set up within a mile of the Dome.  On RF's phone, he can hear a familiar female voice. "You made up your mind yet, handsome?" It can only be one person... The Hammer and Boomerang Bros. burst out laughing, then glare at Barney. "Just who do you think we are? Koopa soldiers never fight each-other! That's just simple honor. I like this guy, he'll do. Let's go." The two mercs make their way back to the capsule, but allow CM and Barney to enter first. With Raiden... "Okay, I'll sell 'em to you, but if I ever find out you lied to me..." The shopkeeper suddenly fades out of existance! Secretly, three Boos fade in right behind Raiden, and, after a pause, run their icy hands down Raiden's back and moan eerily, fading out before Raiden could have a chance to see them. The shopkeeper reappears and finishes, "...yeah. Thank you." and checks out Raiden's items, receiving the coins as Raiden receives his Red Vial and HP badge. |

| Kaz hears the voice, and immediately knows there's trouble. He jumps into the air, backward, to avoid the hand-slash, but Probe is nailed good and is slashed nearly wide open, revealing broken lights and silicon chips inside. It has also been delivered a system virus of some kind, though not apparent... Though sadened, Kaz pays minimal attention to Probe and tries figuring out where YDavid is... but now he's in the air with his afterburner. He scans the ground below, no longer able to use Probe's heat-sensing to detect YDavid, until a swirling light appears nearby... He rockets at it and attempts a deadly combo. Rocketing towards the light, Kaz tries slamming YDavid in the chest with a swooping uppercut, which would send him flying up and backwards... Second, Kaz would fly after the airborne YDavid and flip-kick him to the ground by sommersaulting backwards once in the air, and to finish, Kaz would fly right at the ground and spin like a drill in an attempt at a crushing blow to YDavid's chest. Hits 1 and 2 do above-average physical damage if they hit, and hit 3 does more, but if one attack fails, the following ones do as well. Master Meter = 48u + 12 for each successful hit. |

| "Whoa..." Schwa manages to get out, smirking a little. "So... I guess it counts as a summon AND a unison." "Cha." Schwa and Solaris glance at each-other, and very quickly to the two remaining emotional rockets. They know what to do. "Joy Rocket!" "Chaaaa!!!" The red Anger Rocket quickly flies over to hover next to Solaris, then both Schwa and Solaris thrust their right arm forward and both rockets fly out, each after a different foe. The Joy Rocket is on a collision course with Chaos Schwa (the one in orange), and if it hits him, a few things happen; Chaos Schwa's sword powers will be weakened tremendously for quite a while, since Joy disrupts Sorrow, and then Schwa will gain much mana as well as a turn of charged energy because of Joy's initial effect. In the meantime, the Anger Rocket streaks towards War Schwa (the one in rune-armor), and if it hits HIM, he recieves heavy damage but his Attack stat climbs a good deal higher. Both Schwa and Solaris have psychically downloaded commands into these rockets to "ride" whatever they hit to inflict the foes under their armor or sword. After that little maneuver, Schwa jumps backwards and Solaris darts behind Schwa, tapping him with his tiny arm, which sends Schwa flying fast over the two foes in a huge jump, so Schwa and Solaris sandwich and surround the two enemy Schwas. Solaris's tap that sent Schwa flying seemed more like a psychokinetic thing than a strength thing. Schwa also prepares an attack as he soars over them. |

| Ouch! That hurtz just thinkin' about it. Long Beam... Now, think of what a charged Long Beam could pack. XD Oosh, jitters... Good going so far, man! The new textboxes aren't as good as the other ones, though. Take the ones in #45, erase the portion of border that intersects the triangle, and you got it perfect. In my opinion. (Takes some extra effort, but hey, what's a Sprite Comic without effort?) Geez, it's been forever since I posted an update of MY Sprite Comic. Maybe I oughta get to work.  |

| 30u added to the Master Meter. (Hit 3 counted as a block, for half the u.) Kaz is satisfied as his combo connects, feeling the power surge into him... One... Two... but Three felt a little odd. He looks down. "What?" Suddenly, SLICE! One of the Shruikens buries itself deep into the back of Kaz's armor, and the 2nd and 3rd glance off but still slice the armor in different places. "KYRGH--" If one could see his eyes, Kaz's pupils have shrunken to dots at the sudden, unexpected attack. He kneels, shruiken still embedded in the armor, as a field coats his body and zaps the embedded shruiken to dust. With the blade gone, he can now feel the pain full force. "AAAAAUGH!!! AAAAAUGH!!!" Still kneeling, Kaz copes with this as best he can. A deep gash is visible in the back of the black armor, right through his afterburners even. Shaking uncontrollably and heavily damaged, Kaz stands up and turns around, looking up, to face YDavid. "Wow..." Kaz manages to say, his voice pained and raspy. His controlled rage is gone. "You are no Red Sentinel... Not even they could muster that kind of attack. *urgh* Good game." He salutes his foe. "But it's not over... I still breathe." The respect he demonstrates to his foe is 100% sincere; even YDavid can determine that easily. Kaz doesn't attack this turn. Meanwhile, whatever virus affected Probe finishes it off, and it bursts into a small firey ball, gone from the battle. Master Meter = 71u. |

| Well, most people fail to realize that writing IS art. This thread is fine where it is... RPs, interactive stories, dominate the Story Forum, and short, usually 2-man RPs that emulate a single, carried-out fight dominate the SB Arena. The only thing I would suggest to improve your story is to use more line breaks, so it's not so taxing to read. One big clump of words is usually very painful on the eyes, the way you have it. | After what seems like a long time, Yiusi stops crying, her face still red. "Thank you..." She squeezes him. "Thank you..." The words are still pained, but she is sincere, no doubt. The Yiusi Ball speaks to Yiusi's mind. "Yiusi, this angers me. I now know why I felt the need to go to Pentalipse... Whoever did this probably went there next." "Wait..." she thinks back. "Isn't there an Oracle temple in Pentalipse, too?" "...Oh shoot... Yeah. I feel it. I can't tell if it's gone or not, though..." Still holding Janus, she whispers, "He's after the one in Pentalipse." |

| OOC: To CM: Hmm... Sounds like a reasonable idea. Help yourself. (But not in battle, same as always.) As the capsule-elevator shoots CM and all his allies back to the merc shop, the Keeper is waiting. "You can pay now, and bam, they're all yours." He motions to the two mercs and says, "Have fun kickin' arse, guys." They nod, smirking and tapping their weapons softly in their left hands. On the phone with RF... *pause* "Yeah, he gave the OK, no doubt about it. And no need to worry about me getting hurt, either... Your foes will be sound asleep when I get in the ring." And it hangs up. Looks like Glitter the Dayzee has joined Team A. In the Arena, another fight for a different Mushroom Tournament is going on. It's a red Cleft vs. an Arrow Bro (like Hammer Bro, but equipped with a bow and arrow quiver), Cleft's favor. Most of either side's mercs are wiped out. A Buster Beetle scurries down the aisle towards MM and Peardian, and tells them, "Sirs, if you are in the Tournament, you should be waiting in the Dugout Box for when the match starts. Your fighter should meet you down there prior to the fight." With Raiden, he finds himself face-to-face with the Flyguy. He's charred slightly and sizzling. "Dude... That was, like, uncalled for," he says, referring to the Thunderbolt that Raiden accidentally managed to land on him. "I'm totally getting my Grandpa after your sorry hide. Watch your back." After a death glare, he flies away, towards the purple elevator that leads to B1. |

| She straightens out and looks Janus in the eyes... "No. I have never felt a spiteful terrorist act of this magnitude before. And these humans on this planet... They have to go through some of this stuff on a day-to-day basis..." Yiusi begins walking towards the town area again, assuming Janus follows her. "I do not like the idea of revenge... no matter what the circumstance... But I will not allow somebody to travel the continent and play Search and Destroy with Kyr'Shei's holy grounds. Janus... I don't really want to force you into going on some wild goosechase with me, but I'm on my way to Pentalipse no matter what. You coming with me?" She seems hopeful but almost sure of the answer. Meanwhile, from the other side of the ruined Temple comes the Priest, and his jaw drops to the ground when he sees the scene... but he has nothing to do with Yiusi and Janus at this point... |

| "Well..." There's a long pause, in which Yiusi does seem to be considering her options thoughtfully. Then... "What you say about the timeline reminds me, actually, about the most important thing I was ever taught. See, before I was mortal, I was given a Destiny with no option of defying it. But I did anyway... so I was sentenced to live mortally for one lifetime. I learned that it is up to us to choose our own destinies, and, like how you mentioned, there IS no one definite timeline. "Finding who did this is not an option for me... I must go. But Janus..." She looks him in the eye with a slight twinkle. "I would love to do it alongside you. An alliance of friends is always an advantage compared to one who travels alone." OOC: I would guess, because of The Dawn, that Yiusi and Janus travelling is inevitable. |

| Kaz stares in disbelief. "Dang... He's not too shabby at the summons! Those guys are REALLY gonna get in the way of the main target. Grrr..." Kaz arms two objects, one in either hand. In his left is a steel wireframe of a sphere surrounding a purple glob of weird substance, hovering in the middle of the frame. He immediately throws that upwards, and it begins to orbit Kaz from about 5 feet away, slowly. The second object is a perfect metal sphere... and his next move is to activate the afterburners, rocket forward, swerve up suddenly, swerve back down, and swerve up again while throwing the metal sphere down at an angle towards YDavid and Sigma. (The Earl is not close enough.) Halfway to the ground, the sphere suddenly bursts into a large flurry of razor-sharp discs that attempt to shower the area YDavid and Sigma stand. Each disc would do low physical damage per hit, but there are many. Kaz stays in the air after attacking. Master Meter = 64u + 4 for each disc hit. |

| OOC: Alright, muchacho, this is ON! Go all-out, or else! From far away... "Day off for you today, Schwa." "...." "Eesh, you sure don't look happy today, child..." "Sensae, every time you say 'day-off', something epic happens to me. Are we forgetting the Ma Pingon incident?" "Hmhmhm... Very observant. But count your blessings. You might've had to run a mission AND an epic adventure. But never mind that, Dracoon is calling." "What?" Suddenly, Schwa hears a voice. "Damn! Sensae, you--!!" Sensae chuckles. "Okay, to make you feel better I'll turn it into a mission. Dracoon is on a power-quest, of course, and--" "Defeat Dracoon?" "Yes." "Uh... I dunno... Last round I won by fluke." "Did you?" "Emotional Bomb. Sensae, I used a demon tech!" "Yes, but maybe you won't have to fight. He DID say to bring all 3." "Les'see... Yiusi, and... Kaz! Oh God, no way will I let D hurt my friends." "Now you have the incentive. Go to it!" Moments later, as Schwa takes off from the Psipalace, he telepathically contacts his allies... "Yiusi, Kaz?" "Here, Schwa." "Oh God... It's a Psi Warrior message. Schwa, whaddya need now?" "There's been a challenge to all 3 of us. Nothing is at stake, except our pride. You in?" *sigh* "Yeah, I'll meet you there..." "Ha! It's that Dracoon guy you were telling me about, isn't it?" "Way-ll..." "I am SO in. Send the ping, will ya?" *sigh* Schwa targets Dracoon's location... Something's familiar about the arena, but he can't tell what. Staying a mile from Drcoon's location, he waits until a black object is visible in the sky... Then, 20 feet from Dracoon and very quietly, Schwa teleports in. Seconds later, a man in jet-black futuristic armor with NO body mass visible jets in from the sky on an afterburner, landing on his feet next to Schwa. Finally, 5 seconds later, a gold portal opens on Schwa's other side, and a girl in a gold skirt with a magenta stripe down either side, and long gold hair, steps through and into the arena, before the portal closes. Schwa the Psi Warrior, Yiusi the Oracle, and Kaz the Yamathian stand before Dracoon. "Still on a power quest, old friend?" Schwa says to his rival. "Power corrupts, I hope you know. As for me, I've managed to obtain a very powerful alliance-- and spirit-bond-- with a certain someone, so I too am stronger." "Cut the monolouge out, Psi Warrior," Kaz says, pushing Schwa to the side and facing Dracoon through his pure-black visor. "SO! You are the great Dracoon... And you're a reploid? After all Schwa said about you, you're a reploid? Oh my God... Something's pretty funny about that. I hope you understand you're a TRS-80 from where I come from." "Kaz, not a good idea..." "Robots are weak! But take a look at this armor, 'Dracoon'... My bionic armor, it lives with me. Do YOU have biological armor? I would think not..." "Ka-zzzz!" "Shaddap! This guy's NO Red Sentinel, Schwa! You lied, bubba! Strong opponent? Geez, you and I aren't on the same level about something!" He turns to Dracoon, arms folded. "And what are YOU gonna do about it, bot?" |

| "You call that an energy blast?" Kaz is not affected at all by the power of this attack. As it rips towards him, he turns on the Afterburners on his back, full force, and holds his palms out, actually flying right into the blast. As it hits him, he catches it with his hands (which glow the same color as the blast now), and it only pushes him backward a tiny bit before he heaves it outward, sending it flying the same speed it was sent, right at Dracoon. After this maneuver, his Afterburners (which have been blazing the whole time) turn off and he lands on the ground, completely unhurt. By beginning battle, Kaz's Master Meter has been set to 80u. As for the ether blasts, Yiusi's eyes widen as Dracoon aims his attack at her, but is relieved when Evan protects her. Schwa is furious. "What the hell! She didn't even attack you! Keep your goddamn eyes on the target and leave onlookers out of this!" "Schwa, it's alright," Yiusi says to Schwa, turning to face him. "I'm actually captivated by Dracoon's last maneuver. He looks like you now." "What? ...Holy Buster Beetle Spitoon!!!" Schwa notices Dracoon's altered state. "He's mocking me now." "Is he, Schwa? I dunno, I'm thinking something else..." Yiusi tosses the Yiusi Ball to Schwa, and Schwa instinctively grabs it out of the air. Immediately Schwa feels like he has been mentally hit with a load of bricks, as a dim light flows into Schwa's hand for a very brief moment. The ball automatically returns to Yiusi. "Oh! I didn't think of that!" Schwa says, enlightened. The Yiusi Ball had transferred some of Yiusi's thoughts to him, an honorable method as Schwa forbids himself to read the mind of an Oracle. "Hey Dracoon! You're lookin' good! Kaz, pretend like you're fighting me instead!" "Schwa, for the first time ever I understand you. "After Kaz's counter to Dracoon's attack, he makes his own attack. He turns the Afterburner on and rockets into the air, flies a full circle around Dracoon and then suddenly shoots towards him in an attempt to slam Dracoon with an outstretched fist. He would then continue his swoop to get back into the air on Dracoon's other side and turn to face him again. Strange thing about Kaz's attack is, if it hits the Schwa-infused Dracoon, it'll do MAJOR damage and pierce any of his ether barriers. The reason is completely unknown to anyone on the field. Master Meter = 80u + 12 for a successful hit, not counting Dracoon's reflected attack. |

| Solaris, with keen eyes that only a Hero Chao could utilize, tracks the sword movement and turns his body to the right, moving only a few inches to the side and successfully dodging War Schwa's sword... but the shockwave-trail that coats the blade catches him on his front side, and he falls backward for a while before he can manage to keep aloft again. The orange energy field, though it barely nicked him, was enough for him to feel but good. Solaris counters with a special (unnamed) attack: He spins like wildfire in place, letting his small Pheonix wings fan the air, superheating the area around Solaris and coating the Chao in a shell of flame. He then begins tackling War Schwa over and over again from every direction, moving very fast like a crazed Sonic the Hedgehog in midair. Each attack does below-average Fire damage and the damage is enough to add up to quite a lot if given half a chance. Schwa lands on Chaos Schwa's other side with a turn of charged energy, and as he does, he kneels and begins charging up some more. Two turns would equal something big, but the question is... Go with Satelite Union again, or his more famous ultimate move? |

| OOC: Oi... Would that count as teleportation? I dunno, seems kinda iffy... (2 x 5) + (2 x 10) u added to the Master Meter (30u). (Blocks are cut in half.) Kaz is not unnerved by GRSigma's spooky appeaance, but of something else... "Does he MIND!? That summon has to be stronger than him-- and it's a SUMMON!! Agh... Dang, that giant shruiken still stings..." Then GRSigma suddenly appears nearby and attacks. He brings out the Baton again in a quick defensive maneuver, but he doesn't manage to block correctly. An overhead scythe attack is quite a bit harder to track compared to most attacks, and the scythe misses Kaz's Baton and strikes home. Kaz jerks backward in slight pain, almost inctinctively; luckily the armor is not torn again. He counterattacks GRSigma by chucking the Baton right over GRSigma's head, as the Baton loops around back to Kaz while shooting plasma bolts at GRSigma the whole way. It returns to Kaz's left hand, and right when it does he prepares to execute a combo... but not before GRSigma and/or YDavid have the opportunity to attack. Master Meter = 86 + 4 for each successful hit with the Baton. |
