I'm going as fast as I can! It's a mad rush down here! People are getting trampled over.  I think I grabbed an old copy of Gens and an Apple IIe emulator but everything else is being grabbed up. It's like the movie Jingle All the Way except Emu style! |

| I use Cox. They're not the best by any means, but they're a lottt better than certain ISP's. Could be better, could be much worse. And yep, this happens to me too. |

| It's like certain pages have blocked me or something. Try going here. Goes to the Classmates site right? Not for me. I get a 404. Same thing happens when I try to access my webmail page for work here at my computer. I asked someone else to go to it and it worked. I reset my internet settings to default, cleared my cache, reset my modem, rebooted, tried it with two other browsers, and it STILL doesn't work. I've been to these sites many times before but in the past few weeks, I haven't been able to. Any idea on what's wrong? |

| In MMORPG's, I like playing with European players more than my native peeps. They're just all around more polite and not complete dickheads. :/ If it weren't for the distance of the server (and timezone) I would only play on Euro servers. And seperating it wouldn't be so bad. When companies do server reboots in the wee hours of the morning here, it's usually peak play time over there and messes everyone up. That, and server maintenance. "Why would they need beta testers for a game that's already been fully released?" They're not testing the game so much as they're testing to see if the servers will actually work. That is, see how much stress it can handle, or any other bugs in the database. They'll want it as smooth as possible before retail. |

Holy shit Hiryuu, that was like...one of the greatest posts ever.  (referring to your lonnnng one)I have plenty of bitching to do myself but it's personal bitching about my own wants/gripes/blahblahblah so I'll just not even discuss it. Not really an important issue at this time anyway. "Pff...Ace's doomed themselves after the dumbass IRC thing that happened in August of last year..." Oh hell yeah. I'm glad I'm not the only one who realizes this. The end of Emunet started this whole explosive train into the boards shitdom. I miss people. I miss Foom, witeasprinwow, Doomgaze, Sarevok, Emptyeye, etc... Sure the good ol' people may show up every now and then but they obviously don't like it here anymore/lost interest. Hell, with the average quality of users these days I even miss Skydude. And I don't even like him! But at least he was a good poster. We're lucky to still have some classics great users here. For some reason or another, they've managed to endure the board at it's worst.  Acmlm, you can't just sit here and let this board be taken over. I asked why ErkDog was an admin the other day. (I just asked, I didn't mention ANY feelings on it...) And he jumped on me with a "Why do you care"? and all that garbage. Then I get this "He's hosting, he has every right to be." Regardless of whether or not you, the reader, think it's true or not, it just doesn't sit right with me. It may be hosted by him (and for free too) but it's not HIS board. Hell, if you want to move to another server, I'll pay for it myself and ask for NOTHING in return. I'm sure I'm not the only one willing to do this either. #acmlm never was quite the same after we switched to forgetit. And it never really will be either. Sure it's amusing and all, but it's not the #acmlm most of us grew to know and love. Do we really want that to happen here? Actually, it's already like that I think. But it's not too late to change. I'm not going to go and make any personal attacks against Erkdog here nor try to point out everything that I think he does wrong. If you're as concerned with this situation as I am, then you probably already know what I'm talking about and either agree or disagree with it. The banner may say it's Acmlm's board, but it sure as hell doesn't feel like it. I've been here for little over three years now, and yes, this is probably the worst it's ever been. At least back in the day, when we went through problems, it still felt like home. (For lack of a better word.) On closing, I'd like to say/acknowledge that my opinion holds no real weight on this board when it all comes down to it. I'm just a regular user who pays not a damn cent to use it. But I like to discuss, so thats why I do it. Booyaka. And Phil, you still owe me a sim-battle for control of the "I mean... look at the title of the board.
