Don't quote something I didn't say.

What I said was: The implications of your statements would likley lead to an increase in violence rather then a decrease.

I should also point out that the grain that gets fed to farm animals isn't the same grain that gets fed to humans. The grain for animals tends to be the same cource-as-rocks, not fit for human consumption grain that otherwise would be useless.

The VAST MAJORITY of states don't allow concealed weapons to begin with.

Yes.
I miss having the first floor actually be the first floor.
I miss it being 80 degrees out in the summer. 30 in the summer is wrong.
I miss my 300 HORSEPOWER American car get 12 MILES per GALLON.
I miss getting nearly run off the road by Massholes.
I miss not having to do math to figure out what my money is worth.
I miss having all my money not actually look like monopoly money.
I miss not being afraid 220 volts isn't going to jump out of the socket and attack me whenever I plug something in.
I miss "fast" food being served in under 10 minutes.
I miss having to drive several MILES to get to the nearest buisness.
I miss having said nearest buisness be a gun store.

I miss my life in America. Thank God I'm back.

As far as I know. Ubuntu has it's own special package manager.
The whole GCC package IS available on it.

Any "natural" ability will help you about 10% at absoloute most. Artistic ability is almost entirely learned through practice. Being exposed to art at an early age helps, but you can most definately "catch up" at any age.

My artistic ability was limited to stick figures up until I started to teach myself to draw along with getting pointers from Delial. I can do a fairly decent anime style now.

PS: Don't worry if your penmanship is bad. I failed penmanship every single year back when I was in grade school. The idea that bad handwriting is a sign of bad artistic ability is totally false.

Kasumi. It is user friendly. The problem is that a -freeware- mp3 encoder is largly impossible due to the various copyrights on the mp3 format. The whole thing can be made easy from a programming and computing perspective. The problem is strictly a legal issue.

Actually, I've seen it vary inversely; if your penmanship sucks, you're good at drawing.. and vice-versa. It's mainly just something I noticed over time, so if you draw good and have good penmanship, well, all the more power to you.
All of that stuff is a myth. My friend Jess (her real name is Chinese and I can't pronounce it) has both good penmanship and artistic ability. From everything I've been able to tell, penmanship and artistic ability are in no way related.

If you don't like noses, do what I do, draw them anime style. Anime style noses are the quickest and easiest artistic excuse to avoid having to draw a proper nose.

Next, don't worry all so much about depth right now. Depth is something best left alone until you begin coloring and/or shading, something generally done after the initial sketch and redrew outlining is done.

Last, don't EVER EVER make a bullet point be a link again. I seriously could not find the damn link for like 15 seconds until I finally realized that the bullet point was the link,

Yea it probably is but if you read the topic you might notice the word FREE. Something VC++ is most definately not. In fact, as far as I know, it's the most expensive option possible.

My thoughts on the current problems for the europien union are: "awesome".

The value of the Euro compared against the US Dollar has been on a general decline during the last 6 months, with a very step drop during the last week or so (source). Given the current rate of growth in the dollar and problems in the EU, the Euro will likley return to being worth less then a dollar.

The EU is the only chance europe has for competing with the US both economically and politically. The worse it does, the lower the chance of that ever happening.

It would still apply since most of the tools, etc are still written to work against the Windows API. Emulating windows (such as with WINE) would be easier given the similar hardware. Performance in general would be similar to running WINE at best, VMWare at worst. Good, not great though.

Compared to most centuries? Yea probably. It was milder then many if not most centuries. Asking for a full 100 year block of absoloute peace is just idealism to the point of stupidity.

Even the pax romana had the punic wars.
