True but in beta testing it can't hurt just for simplicity. You should see how many anoying and weird things most people do within #ifdef _DEBUG blocks.

Only the old notepad does that. The notepad with 2000/XP doesn't have that filesize limit.

Yes they could. However, someone still could register for the sole purpose of advertizing, claim (as you have) that they intend to remain a member, and disappear a few hours after their advertizement is posted.
