Hey all.
Im new here, I hope to meet some people here with interests similar to mine. I already know a few people here, DJ Bouche and Bola to name a few.
I like most things to do with computers, except when they stuff up and I've been using computers since I was 10.
I also like bowling, my highest score has been 250 and I currently bowl every friday.
I also have an interest in Science and hope to move to America to study Nanotechnology as soon as I finish year 12.
I hope I can feel welcome here and I will try to post as often as possible.

I agree, it's not enough to say you like someone you have to prove it. Believe me I know.
I haven't been in a solid relationship yet but am currently trying to get into one, and i'm still trying to prove to this person that I like them.
My advice, if you continue with these thoughts of "we need to talk" try medatation. I know it sounds corny but it really works.

Posted on 04-11-04 02:47 PM, in Sad Story Link
Ok, I guess im just goin to get this out and see if anyone has any advice.
My sad story starts halfway through last year. When I had my accident, which affected me both physically and emotionally, this was when I broke my neck. Luckily I made a full recovery in the short space of 3 weeks. Straight after this accident everyone was talking to me asking what happend how I felt etc. This went on for a few weeks and gradually died off. Eventually peole got sick of it and I went back to being myself. For that short period of time I was quite happy, people actually wanted to talk to me.
Towards the end of last year a number of major things happened which contributed to the way I am now. A few decisions were made. Some I regret others I don't. I made many enemies and lost quite a few friends. One being my friend for 4 years. Although I don't regret this as I am happier without them as friends I still find a few problems, I can't stand being near these people as they bring back bad memories and like to see me in a bad mood. To make things worse half of them still go to my school and I see them nearly every day.
This year started off slightly worse, and I must admit it isn't much better now. Apart from the enemies I have at school I have problems elsewhere
I'm happier at school than I am at home, surprisingly. This is due to family problems in which I find myself in a constant battle with the rest of my family because I don't think they are happy with the way I am. I try to see things their way but their way seems to be that I need to be socialising with their friends more. I'm different to the rest of my family and these differences cause all the fights.
Finally my last frustration is my inability to get a girlfriend. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am in a struggle to prove to this certain girl that I like them, I have tried actually asking them out but they haven't taken me seriously.
Ultimately I'm not a very happy person. I do get councilling which has been helpful but it's still not enough I need your help to get back to happiness. And prevent myself from losing the important friends which are the only friends I have got left.

They asked a question on Science vs Religion in your mid-terms? What subject?

I'd say the bunny looks more pissed off or jealous, not very confused
It sorta has a similar look to a person thinking someone is a show off. Get what I mean?
Or like one of the popular people looking at someone inferior.
Either way good job. Looks great despite the flaws.

Basically,
I'm more academic they are all the opposite.
I like a certain group of friends they like other people and try to make me be friends with those people.
They blame my being academic on my not wanting to socialise with their friends saying I do too much and have to take a break
Their idea of a break is visiting a group of people I don't get along with and who like to see me in a bad mood.
Thats basically it.

What I dont get is if what the bible says is true, how did the earth get there, it just says the earth was formless and desolate, and the ocean covered everything
This is why I prefer Science, most of it can and has been explained.

Could someone have tried to suffocate him with the large handkerchief and so he tried to escape but died anyway?

Was there something in the handkerchief that made him commit suicide? Like some sort of poison or something.

Ok this is going to sound really dumb. But sice I have stuck with the same friends for so long, I have lost the ability to make new friends and keep them. I have also lost the ability to make solid conversation with a person. Please any advice thats intelligent would be much appreciated.

If I can keep this up I will be at 5k by the end of this year.
Doubt it though because I won't be able to visit as often when the holidays are over
Once I get back to school, I will probably post like once or twice a day.
