Which one? I prefer Zsnes, it runs smoother on my computer.

It lowers the gate above the Chocolate Temple.

Oh, I just didn't see the gate there in the first place.

The thing is I'd find a hack of ANY of those games enjoyable SMW and SMB3 are childhood favorites and I REALLY enjoy FF1, (I like FF3j better but it's not editable enough yet to make a good hack from) thts why I made this topic. Each I'd enjoy hacking and the outcome the same.

haha, fair enough.

oh, and what you said about FF3j... that's not entirely accurate. not much as of now, but i've got the Enemy Editor made. Although my FF3j projects are currently on the backburner, the Map editor is technically 'still in developement' as are the rest of the tools i've been cooking up. Other things have just taken priority, not by any grand design, but by chance and cirumstance

Wow weird stuff happens when you do it in other games? I experenced this in zelda2 and my little brother played with it laughing constantly for an hour. I'll have to see what it does on other games.

FF3j. The greatest RPG ever. Love the class system. more classes than V and a good storyline (besides the you fall in a cave thing) and the music was good (for nes) and it had the best grapgics of it's era. Go FF3j!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted on 05-02-04 03:41 PM, in editing where locks are in smb3 Link
I decided to hack smb3 first and can't figure out how to chnge where a fortress breaks a lock. I completely changed the world 1 map but when I beat the fortress the explosion to destroy the lock happens where the old one was. how do I change this, and also can I add lock blocks?(I added 2 more fortresses to the map.)Thanks in advance.
EDIT: sorry I forgot to put this in the original post but M3I should be able to do this because it says in the help file all it needs is an object editor to edit everything in smb3, I just don't know how to do it because for some reason the help file doesn't say how to.

Did you notice that above "Object Editor" it says "Future Progress"?

YES I did. but next to it it says the object editor is all it needs to edit everything, so if all it needs is an object editor to be complete it must be able to change where locks go.

A good emulator suggestion would be nester. I think I have the latest version and it works very good.

Nester. It is the GREATEST NES emulator. I used to think BioNES was the best but then learned about the other emulators with other extra features than savestate and I learned that BioNES displays a certain shade of grey black instead(which really messed up the look of some of the FF3j bosses). Is NNNesterJ Nester? I don't know to vote for it or other.
EDIT:I searched google and found NNNesterJ English version .21 (is that the Latest?) and it's much better than just nester. but an annoying thing is you can't use enter for anything, I got so used to enter as my start key and now I can't do it.

Well I LOVE ZSNES and it is my #1 snes emulator of choice but it can't run certain games exactly correct. Try using SNES9x if that doesn't work, your rom is probably corrupted in some way.

Ok I want pocket NES, found the website, checked the section that tells you how to set it up, and I need a "Flashcard". What is that? And where can I get one. Does it connect to the computer to transfer the data or do I need a separate cable? sorry if these questions are stupid but I need to know.
