Fine, I'll let it go to you, because it's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, not with two l's. You now have 4 points, tied with NSNick!

Plus, Bowser's sprites and textures from 2D and 3D games were very good, but Wart's WAS pretty good. It's also that I prefer Bowser's grandness (portraits in SMB1, longest level and world in SMB3 I think, very high in Paper Mario, etc.)

Welcome back, Atma! Replace it, I beg of you. It look very, VERY awesome. If there are any graphics you don't want to release, you could make a rule that if it is stolen, you would lock your hack. |

So many demos we need... Sendy's (is she still here?), BMF's, JJ's, now Hidden Mario's!

http://www.freewebs.com/atmasdomain/Mario.jpg There. They look good, can't wait to see them in SMW. Make it look realistic, because the rest of your graphics do. I think you might have troubles spriting that into something very small, though... :-/ |

Originally posted by Atma X There are three different sprites that smash Layer 2. (Keep in mind that "Layer 2 Smash Sprite 1 and 2" don't work at all in a few screens, I think "Layer 2 Smash Sprite 2" doesn't work when Mario is in screens 4, A, & B, and maybe somewhere past that, but I haven't tested it past that point, just avoid placing it at the edges of the screens (the ones that do work) that surround screens 4, A, & B, so you can't see it suddenly boost back up to the top of the screen) Layer 2 Smash Sprite 1: This Layer 2 smash sprite doesn't smash down as far as "Layer 2 Smash Sprite 2" does, and I can't remember if it moves Layer 2 down a little, and then pauses before smashing. I'll check when I get home. It also speeds up a lot as you progress through the level. (Like it does in Wendy's Castle) Layer 2 Smash Sprite 2: This one is lot like the first one, but it goes down further, and I know for sure that this one moves Layer 2 down a little and then pauses, before it actually smashes. Layer 2 Smash Sprite 3: This one is not like the others. It moves Layer 2 down without any hesitation, but it moves Layer 2 down slowly, and up really fast, this one would be perfect, if the speeds were switched. That's better. Very good explanation. Acmlm, make the alternative HTML have more priority than the smileys by moving their transformation code in front of the smileys. |

I've seen Mario and Mario on a Red Yoshi, but Luigi? That's odd, ask Fu, it might be a plan for the next feature, the changing of the Mario overworld sprite.

I'll review their usage, I'm just that bored. General smiley. Not much to say. I use it sometimes. Good impression of winking, I use this too much. Another general smiley. I used to overuse it. Only for special occasions. Newbish. It's a Matrix reject. Not much to be sad about. Used two times, one for being annoyed at XComGS, and one... you don't want to know. The one I use the most. I guess I have a lot to be annoyed about. Yoshi's Story? No problem, just put some swaying animations or sprites, really unpredictable water, and patches everywhere. In fact, I can take some YS style requests. (edited by Geno on 03-17-04 09:47 PM) |

Originally posted by Kyouji "Kagami" Craw Er hem, excuse me, but I think Atma has a more interactive way of teaching even than the LM Help File, if you ask me. He goes into very small details so anyone can learn skills from those. From the old board, I even saved that giant Palette Animation document, and I intend to post it whenever anyone needs it. It's a shame that all those long and informative posts BMF and Atma made have now gone to waste. Many people get the advanced skills by other people instead of by documents that you can't ask questions in. Why be so rough on Cpubasic (or SMWExpert)? They were probably thinking of a way to explain it and typing it when you almost finished typing it. EVERYTHING, you say? Wow, that's impressive! I think you showed all you know in your demo- except for events. You have them now in your hack, yes? Torn, I hope you know how to do overworlds now! I look forward to seeing your first attempt at one with events. |

Does anyone want a HAND-DRAWN palette hacking desert? I really feel creative right now, and I'll eat a plastic boot heel if I don't get hand-drawn requests. In short, I'm going to make a hand-drawn desert. |

Thanks for your contribution, I hope people can use this well with the right palette. Most people get the palette wrong and stuff looks HORRIBLE.

Originally posted by mikepjr In Demo World 3, the SMW star music is replaced with the Star Baby Mario (or whatever he's called)... It does go well with the game sometimes, too, especially when you insert YI GFX. |

You can also insert ExGFX to the submaps with the Bypass Submap GFX command, and make them really unique, which will exaggerate the styles of worlds.

If you're going to use SMW graphics, change the palette at least so the player will be more interested.

I beat DEEP Sea Diving simply by carefully observing and interpreting the hidden message in the message box somewhere there... Some people use fingers, not their brains.

0 and 100 are the bonus games, look in your hack, you have them. I'm sick of them, if you ask me. |
