I have another question, was the only repeat BG horizontally thing like this? bg-repeat: x; Yes, I suck at CSS. *prays that it will work* By now, it probably stretched enough. Oh... It didn't work? Thanks for the second time, and I changed the BG color to the one in the game that I ripped this from. (edited by Jizuko on 03-15-04 05:28 PM) (edited by Geno on 03-15-04 05:30 PM) |

Originally posted by Imajin Mario Dream World was an awesome hack, I played it back in the day... Same here, and it was really enjoyable. Of course, it didn't have all those fancy-schmancy new features that all hacks now have as a standard, but it was good for its time. |

Is that your face, Kario? It looks like something from some kind of hypnotherapy ad. And that's not a bad thing. ChaosFlare and Chaos Force, you both had about the same post and the same name. |

This should not be stickied, as there are only a handful of codes that we know. But it is pretty useful, and it should be of help to newbies. |

Originally posted by Hidden Mario ESE is a Sonic editor. I need a month or so, because i hadn't understood it with th ExGFX. I read Fpi's Instroduction about 'How to get GFX from other games in your Hack' and sometime it works fine for me. Look at the screens of SMQ. That is what I have done with ExGFX. I think your screenshots looked like you had a solid understanding of ExGFX and tile arranging... They looked like some work from one of our elite GFX hackers/arrangers, like Anikiti's stuff, actually. And that's good. |

Oh well, WHO CARES? These SNES games are not sold anymore, and they are on a fairly old system that is not made anymore to my knowledge. If Nintendo still gets finky about it and sues us, they don't have enough time to take out every single one of us. SMAS is also quite old now, and people don't buy it normally! So rip away and hack away, and nobody is going to get you into trouble.

Kefka, have you ever heard FuSoYa share any of his "creative" ASM outside of Lunar Magic? Creative as in not the fireball data offsets and such and more like BMF's palette hacks. It's because Fu already gave us a more-than-fair share of his ASM already. Making the levels is even pretty hard to do in hex.

Very, very clean. The YI ! block looks odd because of its shading, the yellow boxes need more variety, the stones are too squareish but you don't need to fix that, the pirahna plant has a black stem, and... there's water on water? I like the added waterfall, and I see an excellent use of sprite arrangement. |

Originally posted by macbee Thanks Someguy! It's very good to receive that kind of message.. You are right, I had no idea about how to deal with the ExGFX. In fact, I still haven't. I will accept your offer for sure! Thanks again!! I have two hacking-projects (That's why I didn't send a PM to Someguy): To continue with Super Mario Dream World and maybe produce a Black-and-White hack, about Mario living in New York, showing his house on Brooklyn, etc. That reminds me of what I was planning for my next side project... The overworld would be the real world, and Mario would travel around getting different themes of levels according to the country... I could even maybe ask some foreign people on the board what the setting was like! And adding ExGFX to Dream World will make it one of the awesomest hacks ever. |

Originally posted by gnkkwinrrul The original is always the best Agreed. Without Square, there was no more RPG epic feeling, thus killing the games. Actually, Superstar Saga was good, but its humor got kind of babyish sometimes, and the graphics were very texturous. Except for the water though, that sucked. Paper Mario's battle system squished the gameplay, it was really odd, with only a few moves for each character. But SMRPG had good graphics for its system, and the sprites were cool too. The plot was, well, Mario-ish. |

Both have their ups and downs, but I'll have to say the cape because it gives more of a challenge to keep afloat, and that's always good. |
