i havnt had any problems with it yet... though the fast forward? tilde key... dont really like it if you could make it into the configuration so i can change what key is used for FF other than that it emulates mmx3 for me just nifty

Posted on 10-01-04 12:55 AM, in mmx3 data help... Link
Alright i just found this data by corruption and its at 1AFA00 and the problem is ive figured out what the 80-90ish byte is in each one... but i dont know exactly what this data is used for? just wonderin if anyone has seen any of this before.. heres about 1/2 of the data for the intro level... the intro level ends at 1AFA95.... so its only 95 bytes..
1c 08 24 9a 00
01 01 82 00
02 02 02 02 02 02 02 02 02 02 8d 00
04 04 8a 00
01 08 8b 00
04 09 01 01
01 0d 8a 00
01 0e 8a 00
02 0f 01 0f 8d 00
05 11 87 00
02 16 01 0f 91 00
04 18 84 00
02 1c 01 16 94 00
i broke it down though i dont know if thats any certain order... might be easier to read though it looks like thats a pretty logical order to me any help? it has to do with screen positioning on each levels "map"
*edit oh yeah and heres some more data ive found on it might help..
intro level (1afa00-1afa95?)
bee level (1afa95-
3th byte = Screen Index 8c-92 are screens...99 entire level is on the bottom of the screen..?
4th byte usually 00 or 01 sometimes dont know what it does though..

I think Simon was saying what specific levels were you switching and which graphics are glitched... and when does it happen and such... and does the path change and mario walk the same path? or does the path change but the gfx dont... or do they not activate right... more specifics please

ah i was just lookin at that before you posted it but all it had was the enemy data format which might prove useful though im still confused by the screen data... im hoping to find a doc on a capcom game with how its screen data is stored... preferably a previous megaman game... since there are so many editors i might go look for the enemy data now though any more i realize des is down at the moment so im hoping they have some good ones -_^

You cant that i know of O_o if you dont mind using the current palette's colors and they arnt right... you just have to kind of 'redraw' it image in the right colors i dont think theres much you can do besides that, that wouldnt require tons of work

if you do redo the palette in 1-5 leave the white area on the top of the grass because it makes it look like the moonlight is beeming down brightly... though the lower part of the grass i agree could be a bit darker

Posted on 10-10-04 01:47 AM, in Help! exGfx workshop archives are blank! Link
ah go to the exgfx workshop thread and read the first post gives sort of a guide on how to insert them and such
heres a piece of the thread that might help you
but read the entire thread to understand it all

Newer, more detailed tutorial for ExGFX inserting
How to use downloaded ExGFX from the Workshop
1) After downloading the pack, decompress the archive with WinZip, WinRAR, WinACE, PKUNZIP, StuffIt Expander, whatever you use.
2) Open up the directory you uncompressed the files to. You should have at least these files:
graphics_name.bin
Map16Page.bin
Map16PageG.bin
You may also have a pallette in .TPL format.
3) If you haven't already, create a folder in the same folder as your hack's ROM and name it "ExGraphics" (case sensitive).
4) Rename the file "graphics_name.bin" to "ExGFXxx.bin" where xx = a hexidecimal number from 80 to FFF
5) Put the "ExGFXxx.bin" file into the folder "ExGraphics"
6) Put the files "Map16Page.bin" and "Map16PageG.bin" into the same folder as your hack.
7) Open Lunar Magic and open your hack.
8) Go to whatever level you wish to use the graphics, like a blank "TEST" level, and clear ALL the objects in the level.
9) Insert the ExGFX by clicking the Yellow Mushroom in the toolbar.
10) Now open the "Super GFX Bypass" window by clicking "Tools" -> "Super GFX Bypass..."
11) Check off the graphics bypass option, then click the dropdown menu for FG3, and select the hexadecimal number you chose for your ExGFX. Click OK.
12) Now open the Map16 Tile Editor
13) Using up and down, go to the page you wish to isert your blocks, and hit F3. Click Yes.
14) You are now ready to build! Open up the Background Objects selector, and go to "Direct Access Map16" and open your page. If the GFX look funky, and you haven't hacked the pallettes, then you need to insert a pallette. Check the Lunar Magic help file for any additional info on Lunar Magic, or feel free to ask in the ExGFX Workshop topic at the top of this forum about any ExGFX inquiries.

Erm ive been searching through my megaman x3 rom but cant find the data i need to finish my editor for it... I really need someone who can help me in finding and decoding the data thats needed. Anyone with asm knowlege or data searching knowlege would really help...and i promise any editable data will be put to good use in the editor. dxEdge told me mathonnapkins might be able to help... but if anyone can id be apreciated by everyone here im sure ah and ill post a screen to temp you into helping...(i can be very productive )
*edit* if your wondering the data im really looking for is for scrolling/screen positions?, enemy positions, and the compressed gfx which arnt as important but useful nonetheless
*Edit* here are the screens and its not shown but the sprite editor does edit and save gfx
