It's really not a matter of good or bad, I don't think. Inflation is a natural property of money. There are side-effects of it that are good, and others that are bad, but most of it is either neutral or evened-out by another factor.

And as a side note, I think more Economy classes should include Duck Tales episodes in the curriculum.

Someday, I too will get my chance at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.

Isn't the new DOOM game supposed to have a new Tool song on the soundtrack?

Let's see here:

  • dishes from food I've eaten down here
  • mp3 CDs
  • games galore
  • Simon & Schuster's Handbook for Writers, whatever that is...
  • a Christmas card
  • a marker
  • 1/2 a cheeseburger

And, y'know. A desk and stuff.

Of course not. I just miss posting in here, and I figured I'd voice my frustrations.

And while I could say that I took "Felix" from a video game, I won't, because I didn't. Maybe I'll get more experience with Golden Sun and then I can claim whatever I want...

Anyhow, I'll stop posting off-topic now. We now return you to your regular broadcast day.

If he counts, Leo's my favorite hero. Otherwise, I guess I'd go with Tellah just so I'd get a chance to say, "You spoony bard!" and get away with it.

And I'm with Kefka with regards to villains. Although Zemus was a pretty good personification of evil, he was a little lacking in the personality department. Seymore would've been better if his character was a little more tailored to his personal story (although I think his voice actor was very well chosen).

I guess Sephioth has his plusses... but he's not really my favorite anything.

I think it's horrific that people are doing these sorts of things to eachother, but I certainly can't offer any course of action. I'd advise them to stop, in the name of putting a halt to the escalating violence, but those who would take part in something like this probably don't care about the cycle.

In my opinion, these folks are extremists at heart, who have wanted to do this to someone for a long time and just waited for anything that they might be able to use to justify it to themselves. It's like they don't even consider themselves to be as destructible as those that they hurt, or that they see themselves as always the invulnerable observers. Fact is that they could just as easily be put in the same situation, and they certainly aren't capable of removing that possibility. Before anyone could ever stop these things from happening, they'd have to stop provoking them to happen.

And I suppose there's always the possibility that it's just more propaganda; another elaborate hoax to raise anti-Iraqi sentiment and draw attention towards the war. Not saying that's true, but as far as I know it's just as possible.

    Gross.

I don't think Garfield should ever star in a movie, let alone a non-cartoon of any sort.

Even as a comic, a good Garfield skit is hard to find. Don't get me wrong, the good stuff is really good, but most of it's pretty terrible. Jim Davis is very hit-and-miss with his work. As I said, Garfield's only good about a 1/3 of the time (great for kids, though), and that bloody comic about Orson et al on the farm is just shit.

As for the movie, I'd expect it to ruin all the fun that's left in Garfield for me. I'm open to the possiblity of being wrong -- in fact, I hope I am -- but I certainly won't be going to see this in theatres.

First off, isn't it totally illegal to drive without insurance? Might be different where you live, but I know it's illegal in Canada. Check it out, the fella might have to pay for his own windshield. Accidents happen.

Otherwise, maybe your brother could become his slave for awhile?

I have a brother who broke the window of our van with a rock, when he was specifically instructed to stop throwing rocks near the van. Of course, he didn't listen, and one of them flew backwards, breaking the back window. It was fixed... eventually, and out of my brother's money, but it was still pretty crappy for a while.

But I don't like my brother, anyhow. Even when he's not breaking things. So maybe I'm not one to talk.

Kefka does have a bit of a point there. I don't know how many times I've heard the same old crap on Seinfeld greeted with applause and laughter.

In fact, I can't really tollerate Jerry Seinfeld as a comedian, most of the time. However, the show was pretty good...

Wait a second. I just realized how horridly off-topic I am. Uhm... I've pretty much said all that I can say about Garfield, sssooo... look over there! *runs*

I'm sorry folks, but if given the proper situation, I wouldn't hesitate to throw together and don a Kefka costume. I've been plotting to do so for years, now.

As for the pics, they were certainly interesting. That one of Mario reaching out (which I think is the Mario from the Super Mario Bothers' Super Show?) is damned creepy... and a little hillarious. The only other one I've to comment on is that shitty Black Mage in his bedroom. As bad as the costume is, that horrid DBZ-esque pose is what really makes the photo bad.

I don't really hate DBZ, but it's nothing spectacular byfar. And any mixing of that and my beloved Final Fantasy is just wrong.

Listen. America doesn't deserve anything for letting people stay in Iraq. How could you even start to say something like this?

Firstly, it isn't a matter of "letting" people do anything. If folks want to go over there to help out those who need the help, it's their own individual perrogative.

As for the group motion of American soldiers, their actions don't justify a bias towards the entire country. If someone kidnapped you and hacked your head off with a kitchen knife, would you think it was okay if they did it because you deserved it for living in a country that sends soldiers into Iraq?

Here's the deal. I'm going to post a screenshot from a game, and it's going to be your job to guess the game it's from. Some of these screens will be provided as they are in the game, and others may be missing things. Perhaps I'll turn of a layer or manipulate the image in some way to make them worth extra points. The games are going to be a mixture of the obvious and the obscure.

The first person to reach 50 points wins, though whether you'll actually recieve anything for winning remains to be seen.If you have any prize ideas, feel free to suggest them to me.

Traditional rules, here. No outside sourcing (even though it probably won't help you much, anyhow), maximum three guesses per screenshot, and a minimum of one hour's wait before making additional guesses after a wrong one.

Good luck, and flex those VG-enriched brains!

    Here we go:

    1.
    (2 pts.)

I don't generally sleep during the day, but when I do, I get a little off. I sometimes wake from a nap of this sort completely discombobulated and unhinged.

Once, I completley freaked out. Thought I was a god, or something, and didn't understand how to use my body properly. I don't remember much about that time, except that I broke a vase.

Oh, I get that all the time. Not much of what KKC mentioned, although I used to sometimes run very quickly away from my basement as I went up the stairs to go to bed. More of a mental game I played with myself, pretending the deep, dark basement was out to get me.
