Ya thats what my problem was too. The thing that frustrated me was I had unlocked a hack, wanted to base mine off it, so I spent like 3 hours transfering over levels and graphics. Only to find out that the game didn't work because of those stupid OW errors FYI, the hack was the first one to use edited sprites....And I only wanted it for those reappearing platforms....I had an awesome level layout...lol | |||

The Keikonium wasn't supposed to be there in the version I uploaded. I uploaded the wrong one, Keikonium is supposed to be in a whitish gray with a black outline following the curverture of the planet in the shadowed area. I relize that my name looks reallllly bad in the cornor. And the tutorials were on some major PS tutorial website, but I can't remember what one it was (both are on the same site, same page). I have PS on my other computer which doesn't have internet, so I have to write down all the text. Sorry I can't provide a link. Thanks for all the great comments! I will update my first post with my asteroid tommorrow. |

Added the new pictures to my post...I hope you guys like them. I love making space sceens, they are so much fun. I am try to create a faux earth now, but its not going too well. The land "types" are hard to create with my crappy gradient skills. | |||

It actually has graphics from: Cave 1: 1. Mushrooms from Actraiser 2 2. Cave FG thing from SMB3 3. Crystals and thing behind crystals from YI 4. Yellow sky from Actrasier 2 Cave 2: 1. Cave FG thing from SMB3 2. The rest is from Actraiser 2 3. The "light beam" was a gradient made by me in Photoshop 7.0. Both caves were made "smooth" by using a filter called "Median Filter" that comes with Irfanview. I used Irfanview to make them a bit darker too. |

I helped him out. The problem was that the mario sprites weren't in the correct spot which rendered him unwanted results. He may still have trouble tho...I didn't map and palette EVERY mario frame for him. | |||

Huge Set Upload Time I have 8 YI BG's that I have sent to Coby for uploading to the ExGFX Workshop! Most of them do NOT affect the status bar, but sadly some do Im sure you can fix it if you really want to. Im lazy..lol. They are: 1. YI Bonues Bricks (status = perfect) 2. YI Forest Mountain (status = perfect) 3. YI Grafiti Hills (status = unknown) 4. YI Grass FG BG (status = mario/item box colour change) 5. YI Happy Hills (status = item box change) 6. YI Lava Castle (status = messed up) 7. YI Swamp River (status = mario change) 8. YI Waterfalls Mud (status = unknown) (I am pretty sure those are correct) If you can't guess what BG's those are, just wait for them to be uploaded to the workshop. Credit for them would be great so I know if I helped you at all. Thanks alot if you use them in your game. BTW, I would like to request a rip: Its from YI, and it is the cave BG with the waterfalls. I have tried so many times to rip it, have been successful, but can't seem to assemble it. So if someone could rip it and submit it to the workshop I will be very greatful. Thanks! EDIT: SENT!!!!!! My comments: 1. Is that a spider falling from the sky? And I like the sprite below mario. This screen in nice. 2. I dont find this screen very exciting:\. The sprite doesn't look that good and neither does the message box. 3. Love the....dinosaur? He could use some more color or at least more shading. This screen looks good. 4. Looking good. Your cackling creatures would look better with 2 eyes tho. This screen looks awesome! 5. Way to green. Make the BG a different color or make it MUCH darker. 6. Everything looks good except the ground and tree in the bottom right. LM comes with a "cloud" palette that looks really good with this kind of a level. 7. Lookin good! 8. This looks really good too!! Your wiggler replacement is awesome!! 9. MY EYES!!! I really dont like this one at all. Way to much red and black. Looks almost NES like if it wasn't for the bones, sprites and mario. 10. This actually looks okay. Ii would suggest having the regular FG color, darkened alot, then tinted with purple. This looks okay, but the ground is abit to bright. So this hack actually looks pretty good. Keep it up, but dont get to careless with the palettes. |

EDIT: nvm, apparently DOS can get viruses Didn't know that. So I now chose WinXP. May have lots of Viruses, but looks real good and is easy to get into.... (edited by Keikonium on 03-28-05 04:26 PM) |

I wont believe it until I see it. Making bowser look AND act like the doomship? Come on! Bowser does a sort of arc type fast movement that brushes scross the screen. Last I checked the ship didn't do that. And making the fish act like the hands? You would need to make them move up alot slower and shorter I doubt this very much. As soon as I see a demo or shots (if u can make them animated gifs it would be a million times better), I will apoligize to you, but right now I find this very hard to believe. | |||

BUT, if you place him on the main OW map (or other submaps?) the intro level (where it shows the message) will be 1C5 (1C7?) instead of C5 (C7?). Just to let ya know. | |||

Just so you all know, in my post above what ever is in brackets beside the set name is referring to the palette. For the YI Swamp River set, I put mario's name palette was messed up, but its actually fine. So the sets them selves are exact rips from YI and they are perfectly fine, its just the way I paletted some of them (the palettes are also direct palette rows from YI), thats why I put if they were fine or not. Hope thats not to confusing. And if it's not to your liking, you can re-palette them Also, Ice Man, your set looks awesome! The BG is really cool, and the FG is...um...kinda odd. Floating sidewalks. Its really cool tho, I think you should submit it. I would love to use that BG! |

I did an edit of bowser along time ago....probably last summer now. I just replaced bowsers graphics, edited his "ground" in the level, and tryied to re-palette him. Nothing went all funky when I did it, but I could never get bowser him self to use different palettes. I even tried makeing EVERY palette bright red to see what would change and only the ground did. So I dont know exactly what darkflights doing to chnage the palette, but if it only invloves the palette editor in LM it wouldn't affect the mushroom height | |||

It does stand for assembly, he was being funny I guess. And hyperhacker....what do you mean by a high bit depth? I thought bowser used 4bit or was it 8bit? Thats the same as everything else uses....in another thread it said that he could use ALL 256 colors...but I doubt that | |||

You HAVE to rip the graphics from the BMP file exported by BGMapper and COPY AND PASTE them into YY-chr. Then save the file as ExGFX**.bin and import it into LM. | |||

Umm Coby, you made a big mistake, you put my name in the write up at the top of the ExGFX Workshop instead of smwedit. I dont think he would like that. I do tho seeing as the BG looks pretty good. *downloads* |
