S&K with 3 attached. Sonic 3 had some awesome levels and when combined with being able to use knuckles as well as the S&K levels...It made it the best IMO.

These look awesome! One question tho....How will you make the bosses? That would require MAJOR ASM to achieve.

And for your door problem, couldn't you fix it using HDMA? I know that Blackhole89 knows HDMA (he made an awesome little edit that made names show up at the bottom of the screen in a semi-transparent blue box), so maby you could ask him, or google search HDMA, and find out how to make a transparent back area for the door. Doesn't SMB2 do something like that? I know that the door and the "light" are on different layers.

Good job tho...btw, have you released ANY demos?

Heres how I get rid of mine:

1. Shower, washing your face REALLY well with soap.
2. Drying off as best as possible, but quickly.
3. Use Clearasil (sp?) on just the one pimple (or many), but dont rub it in, just dab it on there.
4. Leave it on until your skin feels kinda hot. Even better would be to do it before you go to bed, that way you dont sweat as much.
5. In the morning take another shower and wash your face really well.
6. It should be gone or if not gone, not visible unless you went right up to look at it

Thats what I do when I get the rare pimple, and it works every time...especially in the winter beacuse the air is dryer

Man that is sick!

If you dont have clearasil, I guess any pimple cream would do, but I dont really know cause clearasil is all I use Mainly what I figure is the really hot shower opens your poors (pours?) and putting the cream on it closes them, pulling the pus and crap out with it....kinda sick, but it works...and if you do it tonight, it will be gone by friday.

I was searching for games to rip BG's from for my hack, and came across a few games that use falling rocks. I think Atma X used rocks in his hack that were supposed to fall from the sky and roll along the ground like Bowser's Bowling Ball (BBB). However, BBB doesn't work in normal levels so this wasn't possible.

Anyway, my question is, with all the new programs and everything that has been found recently (for sprites mainly), could someone create a patch that will allow BBB to be used in regular levels with no glitches? I have a feeling BBB uses Mode 7 because it rotates while it rolls, so that may be a huge problem.

But again, if someone could create a patch with BBB working in normal levels, that would be awesome!!!

The sprite number in LM, using Insert-Sprite, is either AA or AB. I am pretty sure its AA tho (I dont have access to LM right now sorry).

So what exactly is the power up you created? Also, where would the graphics show up to be editable, when the program gets fully functioning?

2 questions:

1. Is it possible to have small, big, fire, and cape mario as well as how many other power ups? Could it make at least 4 extra power ups for a total of 8 different marios?

2. How would this program work? If you wanted say fat mario that can break certain blocks by standing on them (thinking of Wario Land 2?), he would use up 4 16x16 blocks (32x32 pixel mario sprite) making it alot harder to map the sprite.

This is awesome, and as soon as I see some screens of a new mario (or even better would be a video showing him go thru at least 5 powers. Start small, then mushroom, then flower, then cape, then frog/leaf/hammer suit would be nice to see), I will be a VERY happy guy. Good job and...........

Wow man. In just a few hours you make the bowsers ball useable in normal levels! I am happy. The only problem I have now is that to use it I would need to start my hack over again. I made a backup of my current hack, patched it, and it messed EVERYTHING up! Luckly it was a backup, so it doesn't matter tho.

And sorry for the wrong information, I didn't have LM at the time so I had to try and remember from memory

Good job with this!!!!

Edit: Is it possible to patch this to an already hacked game without messing anything up? My hack has only 1 or 2 actual hex edits and both are sprites (using Smallhackers program). And it is 1 player game with soon to be edited status bar and such.

really? I have tried different sets and level types (got the real graphics working), but the ball always falls thru the level and disappears, or doesn't show up at all. Anyway, I will check out to see what you have done and just do that in my hack....thanks JJ!

The YI snow level looks really good. The combonation of SMB3 BG with YI FG looks realllly good!

The status bar is really messed up here....and the level looks amazing! You have SMB2, SMB3, and YI all in the same level. I love mixing up the 4 games (SMB1, 2, 3, and YI), it makes everything look so cool!! Good job, this will be a downlaod for me.

Omg man, why does it matter? Your not thinking about taking the graphics are you? Even if it is locked, RLM can fix that.

Anyway, your hack actually looks fairly good. A few palette problems here and there based on the screenshots, but other than that it looks to be pretty well done. I will download this right now!! And I will update this post of the game was good, but if it wasn't that great, I may not edit this post....I will try the game out now.

The unlocking trick is 1 of 2 things:

1. I figured out how to unlock hacks using a hex editor. It only bypassed the check LM does to see if hacks are locked (at least thats what everyone says). It was a matter of changing 2 or 3 bytes and you could open a locked hack in LM. This method however didn't show the graphics. It did show the level layout tho.

2. They are talking about RLM. This is the real unlocking tool that shows EVERYTHING when the hack is unlocked. The only problems I have with this tool are that when I unlock a hack, it corrupts...something...that makes it unplayable in ZSNES. It also doesn't fully unlock all the OW data which really sucks because THAT is why I unlock hacks to admire the OW's.

If your wanting to unlock hacks tho, use RLM. The games wont be playable, but you can admire all the hackers hard work.

Okay, the snapshots are good for a refrence for assembling the ripped graphics, but what you need is the VRAM graphics....to do this, savestate in a level you want graphics from. Now open that savestate in BG mapper. Now press Esc on the keyboard, and 3 options will show up in the top left cornor of the screen. Chose the middle option (I think it says graphics or VRAM). Now a new screen will show up. Press 12345678 on the keybaord to get all the correct palettes and stuff. Then press 0 and save the VRAM graphics. The file will save as a BMP in the same location as your savestate (the screenshots save there too). Open the saved file in a graphics editor (I prefer windows paint cause you can be precise) and copy the graphics using the selection tool. Then paste them in YY-chr or TLP. From there, you can paste them over existing graphics in AllGFX.bin or you can make some ExGFX using them. If you are ripping marios frames, you will need to do ALOT of savestateing for EVERY different frame mario has.

From what I know, the game only process the frame that mario is doing and saves that to VRAM when you savestate. So say you were running, it wouldn't save the standing frame, the swimming frame, the death frame, it would ONLY save the frame with mario running (the legs slightly spread graphic). But, its alot quicker to rip the graphics by opening the ROM (yes the .smc rom) and looking for marios graphics. Most graphics are compressed when you open the ROM in a tile editor, but mario's aren't compressed (Im talking about SMAS here).

Last night, and into this morning, I spent about 2 and a half hours designing this space sceen. I used 2 photoshop tutorials to help me in creating this. So what do you all think about it? Good? Bad? Its okay? Thanks for any comments.

You guys know that SDW:TLC cannot be unlocked with RLM right? Because it is an ExHiROM and the size is, what, 6MB it cannot be unlocked.

And also, why does everyone say that you can base your hacks off of an unlocked hack? I unlocked every hack I had on my computer and then put them in a folder (I kept the locked ones still), but when ever I go to play the unlocked hacks in ZSNES it freezes when I enter the OW. Also, when I view the OW's in LM, it says stuff about errors and such....this happen for anyone else?
