YI is okay. I have exams in jan-feb so i haven't been doing much of anything (altho I never study for exams or tests, other things take up my life). I notice that during school months, hacking drops ALOT! But come the summer, it will hopefully be back up again.

1st shot: BG is just bad. sorry to say. It does fit in with the FG tho, which I dont think looks bad at all. The pokeys look awesome! Much better green than yellow. The pillars dont look to great tho, they just seem weird

2nd shot: Altho using glitched sprites on purpose isn't recommended and people will tell you not to do that, they sort of fit in here. But how is mario supposed to fit thru that small hole without sliding and getting hit? Brown coins isn't a good idea and whats up with the power up?

3rd shot: Why is there text, dont use glitched platforms (well, at least dont take shots when a portion of the platform is missing) and change the BG color so its darker and it will look better.

4th shot: I think this looks good. I would love to see that ground in better resolution tho (press F1 *(thanks for pointing that out Kyouji)* in ZSNES and save the shots as a PNG and keep them the same size they save as). That ground looks really good!

5th shot: really...full. dont put vines side by side, makes it WAY to easy to climb right across. And vary the lengths.

6th shot: The green in the BG doesn't look very good. Maby since its a jungle castle, make some trees showing in thru the window and and some overgrown vines inside.


Just change this stuff and it will look much better

As far as making the tongue not show up, just get rid of the graphics. This wont stop the eating problem tho, so you need asm for that. Its just that way you dont need any ASM to get rid of the graphics

Do you want it so yoshi can't eat enemies/objects? If so, instead of trying to disable yoshi from eating enemies, why not disable enemies from being eaten by yoshi and remove his tongue graphics. It would still have sound so you would need to get that out somehow. Its just that we have working sprite editors, and they may beable to stop enemies from being eaten *has never used a sprite editor*. Just a thought...

Anyway...

I live in canada but we have the european tradition of celebrating christmas on the 24th. We dont have any little christmas eve tho... We eat turkey on the 25th and usually Ham on the 24th. We also celebrate St. Nicholas(sp?) day on the 6th where we open one present of our parents choice. Im pretty sure its a German tradition but I cant be sure. Then on the 25th we go to my grandparents to open more presents. Then we usually to go to my aunts but shes going away this year so she dropped off the presents. I celebrate christmas from the 24-26 almost every year I have like a billion aunts and uncles (but they are all on my dads side except my one aunt who lives here on my moms side. The rest live in germany) so I get alot of stuff. Mostly clothes and money

Extract the Graphics using LM.

Then open up the folder called Graphics that was created in the same place as your ROM.

You should have a bunch of files called GFX00.bin GFX01.bin etc.

Copy one of those files and paste it some where else.

Now open that file in YY-chr and change the format to SNES.

ONLY make graphics using the top half of the file (the part where all the graphics are).

Now save the file as ExGFX80.bin (the numbers are from 80-FFF).

Put it in the folder called ExGraphics (which gets created in the same place as your rom when you extract the Exgraphics using LM).

Now open LM and INSERT the ExGFX.

Click on the RED poison mushroom and chose your ExGFX number (80 if thats the number you put in).

Hopefully that works

(BTW, that will make it the correct size) If anyone sees anything wrong with this just post the corrections.

I would go for yoshi because he is cool. As long as it looks good yoshi is my choice. A boo just wouldn't look right staying exactly one tile off the ground without hovering. And a goomba/ koopa hack of mario has already been done. If not possible to make mario into yoshi, then just leave him the way he is. Or create a brand new character like Cpubasic13 did. (but dont copy anyones)

To you people who dont have a player for OGG (or almost ANY other format), get Foobar2000. It plays everything you could think of. As for the format question, I hate WMA, lags on my comp for some reason (may just be because of WMP). MP3 is great IMO. And OGG, well I have only ever had one song in OGG format and it sounded exactly like mp3.

What about APE? (Monkey Audio) is it good?

My guess would just be the MSN servers. This happens sometimes here too. MSN tries to load and tries to load and then a little screen pops up saying server not found or something like that. And www.hotmail.com just keeps trying to load forever Strangely Microsoft.com is never down when this happens

Yep thats the one. Its in the ROM and its uncompressed but I have ripped it and tryed to assemble it (in the map16), but with no luck. So if anyone wants to rip that and submit it to the workshop that would be great.

I also heard that the earlier PS2's had glitches with DRE. I got mine a year after they came out and its never failed me. Some of my friends' PS2's have been messed up tho (and they got them when they first came out). Also I heard the PS2 works better flat down and not vertically...dont know if thats true tho.

Dont know if anyone here has this game but I need to ask a question that I can't seem to find the answer to (I have checked both gamefaqs and planettonyhawk.com):

When playing story mode on easy, I can't get full Lip stats. It says I need to do a Nose Stall, but when I look for the move in my tricks it doesn't exist (I am a vet TH player, have EVERY game so I know what Im doing). The closest move to nose stall is nose blunt, but that doesn't work so, is this an error by the makers? Has anyone else gotten full lip stats on easy?

I have tried that. I remember preforming the trick in sick mode, but for some reason its not here in easy mode I will have to look again, removing tricks based on the toughness setting is just plain stupid

And BTW, this game is great. Its really easy to beat just like THUG and it has a few glitches, thats really the only problem.

Okay, I looked for the trick again, but still no luck. So I looked for it by loading my 'sick' file and its not there. I am so angry because I can't max out my stats now.

I have tried seeing if it was some hidden move by pressing flip, grind, and grab buttons (even tho I knew it wouldn't be hidden) but still nothing. I have the PS2 version and with the lack of, IMO, testing, it doesn't really surprise me that there is this big glitch. I have found a few things (movie speech problems [no sound], players going to fast for the game to handel [in skatopia skitchin on the car for to long makes the game go funky] etc.) Except for these few things the game is great, but a glitch that prevents you from having a perfect game (I define that as max everything, stats, goals, make at least one graphic, skater etc) sucks. oh well

That first shot is really cool. I have tried doing rust/blood on metal textures but mine come out to cartoony. This is really well done.

The second one I dont like as much I think its because of the fact that its blurry and the sharp diagonal lines in the top right and left cornors. You mirrored the parts the blast came out of, but if you do that, make the rest of the ship mirrored (or at least most of it) because it looks crooked.

I do love the use of textures tho.

I have searched google and found a few ID3 tag editors but none of them really seem to work.

id3-tagit sucks. It doesn't seem to permently re-id3 tag the files.
Zortam doesn't even open up
and there was another one that worked but wouldn't save the changes.


So my question is, what is a good free (or trial) ID3 tag editor for MP3 files? Thnaks

Its only a matter of changing 2 bytes to unlock the hack, but having to change alot more to have the graphics and such show up.

Actually, it was me that posted that. And I just wanted to see if it was possible to unlock a hack, which it is. People got pissed at me for doing it, so I wont post the two bytes, but I will tell you there are right near the...games name in hex? if you search Super Demo in a hex editor (having SDW open) the bytes are very close by that. I have it written down somewhere what the bytes were....


Anyway, dont bother trying. Its not worth it, you can't see corect graphics, you get lots of errors etc. The only real thing you can get out of it is seeing the level layout, which is sometimes messed up anyway

Okay, here is what you can use to unlock a 1.00MB ROM that has not been edited. (so its the same as a normal 1MB rom, but its locked):

(copy + paste, duh)

EDIT: I forgot which side is the locked rom, (just look up the address in the hex editor and if the first address number is 00, then change to 01 and so on with the other digets).

This will restore ALL the graphics, and everything else.

And come to think of it, I dont think I have tried to unlock SDW:TLC...but I can't remember. I know I unlocked, LA, SMWX (anikiti (sp?) other hack), JJ's hack. But I never got anything out of them. Just seeing if this method would work on other hacks that have been edited. And the GFX were messed up, NOTHING WAS STOLEN SO DONT WORRY! I dont do this anymore anyway

Well, as some people say, it wont unlock every hack (altho I have been able to unlock 4-5 different hacks of different sizes). I wouldn't bother wasting your time anyway. It doesn't recover anything except for maby a few level layouts. It will just be alot easier to restart the hack then unlocking it

EDIT:

And the thing I posted ONLY unlocks 1MB unedited roms. Thats just to show the bytes that get changed when the hack gets locked by LM.

There are 2 bytes that I guess only disable the "this hack is locked" box that pops up when opened in LM that have worked for every hack I have tried to open. But enough of 'my method' people are saying it doesn't work, so nvm.
