I would say anything by anikiti. That guy has some awesome ideas, and incredible graphics. Sometimes I can't even tell if he ripped them or made them Im talking about the castle graphics from the hack he just relesed, very cool! | |||

Thats awesome GCNMario. Thanks! Now I will see what those wings do on the floating ship level I will report back here with the information EDIT: Fixed some spelling... Those wings dont do anything But you can tell that a yoshi was ment to be in the game because the level he flys to was edited... I also noticed that some of the castles were the regular 1-8 castles, some are the fortresses, and some are the backdoor castle. Could this mean anything? Like small dot, big dot and then red dot? Maby the backdoor castles have 2 exits? I just thought they might be different. And akmlm, how did you get that ? level. EDIT 2: The key in 7-2 is unusable... there's not enough room to move for Mario to make the key touch the keyhole. -.- What level is this? I can't understand japanese, and I can't seem to find any key holes in the level before the castle that leads to the sunken ghost ship. I figured this was 7-2...is it? 1. D/led the set you want, I will use JJ's set (happy set) 2. Unzip the file and put the Map16page.bin Map16BG.bin etc in the same folder as your ROM. All the files need to be in the same folder as your rom. 3. Now take the file called ExGFX**.bin (** is a number from 80-FFF) and put it in the folder that says ExGraphics. 4. Now open up your game in LM, and hit the insert ExGraphics button (one of the mushrooms). 5. Now click on the red poisonious mushroom, and type in the number that was at the end of the ExGFX file (80-FFF). 6. Now open up the 16x16 editor and go to a page past the first 3. Hit F2 and it will load the graphics. But if its a BG, hit F6. ***NOTE*** BG files can only be put on pages 12+ and FG files can only be put on pages 4-F. 7. Open up the Map16 and start building your level. If you need more help just post. |

Akmlm, I just need three hints: 1. Is it a keyhole, tape, or sphere? 2. Is it down one of the many pipes? 3. Is it by going thru the back door or front door? Also, anybody know a code to get the pow in the item box? I have spent the last hour trying out codes and havent found one. In one of the castles (ghost house?) there are two doors that can't be accessed because brown blocks are covering them. I just want to see whats in these doors |

Actually there is a block to change luigi into mario. The thing is, you need to be mario, then change to luigi, then you can change back again. I had both of these blocks in my 2nd hack that I never relaesed because it was before I found this board. I wish I still had that hack... |

Okay, now read this: HappyBG1.bin ----------->ExGFX**.bin happyday.tpl -------------->Leave it happyevening.tpl -------->Leave it HappyFG3.bin ------------>ExGFX**.bin happynight.tpl ------------>Leave it Map16Page.bin ----------->Leave it Map16PageG.bin---------->Leave it Now take all the Leave it files and put them in the same directory as your ROM. Take the ExGFX**.bin files and put them in the folder that says ExGraphics (make it by extracting the ExGraphics from LM [there wont be any]) Now insert the ExGFX by clicking one of the mushrooms (I dont have any of this in front of me, its not on this computer) I think its the blue one. Click the Red Poison musroom and type in the ** number. Open up the 16x16 editor and go to page 4-F Hit F2 and the graphics will appear Now for the BG hit F7 on pages 12-1F Hoepfully that works. If Not I have no clue what your doing.. BTW, I use LM version 1.61 because I can type in the ** numbers instead of using a drop down list. But there pretty much the exact same version. |

The reason I was using a code for the screen with the star is because it is IMPOSSIBLE to get to the door in time without a code... at least for me it is... But I didn't use codes for the ? level. I couldn't find out how to get a keyhole to drop in the item box. I was going to use a key in the item box, then a keyhole, but I couldn't find the code for one. Oh and the reason luigi is in the snow shot, is because I took all these shots at around the smae time...is there anything wrong with useing codes? |

Oh okay. I downloed 1.62 a few days after it was released, and the menu for ExGFX was drop down lists. I tried accessing both ways, the red mushroom and the tab at the top. I will try it again and see if it works... | |||

I had played your hack, SMWUM about 3 weeks ago and noticed a few things from that hack in this one. So on to the errors: SMWUM3: Not that bad, just some major palette issues and graphical issues. I only noticed one text problem, and it was only grammer. I will post shots of a bunch of stuff that you should fix sometime soon. Your overworld needs some palette help and some graphics help, I love doing overworlds... LMF and SMWUJ: I couldn't even play these hacks. The graphics were glitched. I am sure it wasn't your fault because when I opened it in LM, it said it had no ExGFX List and sprites etc. When I tried it in ZSNES, the graphics were messed up so bad I couldn't play it. I dont know whats going on with them but they need to be fixed. |

You know what would give your hack 100% recognition, a new thread with the title "SMW2+ Demo--New YI graphics!!" People need to see some new graphics instead of the same YI graphics. However when I tried out your hack, THAT IS HOW THE YI GRAPHICS SHOULD BE USED!! I agree with aioria aswell. Your hacks are very well done, Your the one who made that candy SMW hack right. I think you were and that hack was amazing. I do however think that if you make another YI hack, it will probably need to have new graphics or something else so it REALLY stands out. You also have to remember that people are in school now (Canadians just started today, well at least I did..) and some people have jobs now. So this board will be less active than during the summer. Anyway, I hope you contine with your hack I love your level designs, especially the cave levels |

Not yet. At least in eggvine its not.. Maby through hex, but other than that no. I was just saying that if it was possible, it would make his hack original and special. Look at schwa. He (says) made the first MM4 hack, and people loved it. So if GoYo was the first to make a YI hack with new graphics, that would be awesome. He did after all make the first YI made with eggvine. | |||

I really dont know if this will work, so dont flame if Im completly wrong. Would it be possible to view a song using a hex editor and copy the entire thing over to SMW using a new bank or something? Then just make a code that will point and load that section. And if you want SMB2 music in SMW, the credit song from the original game is the same song as the first would of SMB2. I dont know how to use it (theres no option for it in the level header bypass) but some asm would help. |

Its either the page up and down keys on the keyboard, or the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard. I can't remember at the moment. And yes you have the correct page. First you will see the bush parts, doors, climbing nets, etc. Then press page down and you will see ? blocks and note blocks etc. Then press down again and it will be blueish squares. Now press page down once again and that is the page you sould use. | |||

Since your using YY-chr, save state at the point in the game where you want the palette. Now open YY-chr and load that state. Now you will see arrows (in yy-chr) beside the lower palettes. Hit the bottom one and you will see the palette change. Just keep doing that untill you get the correct one. If thats what youv'e been doing and still can't get it to line up then I would just work with the palettes in YY-chr. You do know that the palette order in YY-chr is the same as LM right? The first 3 in YY-chr and LM are black, white, black and then so on. Even tho in YY-chr they are different colors LM will still count it as the first 3. |

I have 82, but someone said they got 84... I have no clue as to where these other 2 exits are! And GCN, you could use game genie to get the exit, or you could search the backdoor level. Once you find it you will kick your self for over looking it I just wanted to ask about LA2: I have gotten 30 exits in that demo. I know 100% I am missing a level, I also know what level it is. I was just wondering where this demo ends (exit wise). Is it only 31 exits? Or is it more than that? |
