OMG that computer is amazing!!! I would love to have one...not.

Anyway, I will be getting a new computer in 2 monthes anyway Is this a good price for what I will be getting:

160 Gigs
win xp home
buch of extra software like office, animators etc (they say its a 200 value)
3.4 ghz
Radon graphics card

Mainly just all the stuff in a high end PC nowadays. I can't really remember alot about it

It will cost me about $1,100 canadian which is....I dont know how much in american, $750 or something like that?

All I will be using it for is to install all of the sims games, all the age of empires games, surf the net, maby watch/burn dvd's, and listen to music. I need the best graphics and sound card out there...what would they be so I can watch out for them?

And Im not sure if any of you thought I was making an editor...but Im not I have no clue about C++, VB6 etc etc. I only know some html and javascript.

The first sliding koopa you can put in is thru the add sprites window. He is in the 10's numbers. Then if you press Insert (on the keyboard) you can add in some more. Same with the Chargin chuck...but I do see that 9C goes with the HB platform... I might have got some numbers mixed up...

BTW, can you have more sprites than the amount of null sprites accessable by LM? I relized that the sprites from F0-FF cause a sprite error in LM. Maby this can be disabled to have 10 more extra sprites.

Idea: Someone make a sprite (maby object) like the block that has the coin line but make it a vine line. That way you can move mario to contol the vine just like the coins.

I personally like all the new ground textures. Especially the stone. But I have a few things to comment on:

Pic...

1. Why is it Super Gooder World Super Mario World? You should make the title something...else Just doesn't sound right. Also the Super Gooder World part has some funky letters. There white and odd, change there palettes. And change the date. Its 2004, 2005 now, not 1990, 1991.

2. Everythings good, except is the mushroom sad? Also this looks like a place from the original game...

3. What Luigi San said about the ledge.

4. I have no idea whats going on here. I pray its either a new sprite or a bad glitch.... Also, why so much time?

5. Ground palette has some white lines, and the flower has a black nose...Mario's palette...

6. Just the flower, everything else is cool.

7. Same as above, LOVE the new turn blocks. They look 3d to me. One thing, why does LUIGI have a WARIO palette?

8. Lookin good, except for luigi's palette. Did you darken all the other palettes here? Looks nice.

9. Looks good

10. Looks cool, but mario looks odd...red clothes?

Just a few things I think should be fixed...I really like the looks of the edited graphics so I will try this hack out

One, question...Were those bridges hand drawn by KT? If not what game were they ripped from!!! I was thinking about possibly making my own bridges for a swamp type place in my hack, but if I can rip those bridges from an existing game that would be faster (lazy but fast).


Okay, about the hack:

I think the way you used all the graphics is amazing! I see why you would want to borrow/use KT/anikiti GFX...They are amazing!!!! However I think you could easly create some awesome GFX your self...or rip them I really need to release a demo becuase I have a bridge set I ripped I dont want anyone else useing...

You want to load a mario world palette in TileED2000? If so, just open LM and go to file>Palette>Export level/shared palette. Then load this file in TileED2000.

I can unlock the rom, with severly messed up levels The ONLY rom I can unlock and keep the levels regular is an unedited one. So even if you ask Fu, I am almost 100% sure he wouldn't be able to unlock it. You have to start over again...sadly.

I really think that Fu should have made the lock password protected so if you know the password you can still access the rom...but that wont stop hex editing people. You could get an old copy of LM (V1.01 works) and unlock the rom, but the levels will be garbled.

Yes, you can animate sprites, but it involves the animation option in LM. Its a confusing process that I just recently learned how to use. I still haven't been able to make any GOOD looking palette animated sprites tho. Just try and make sense of the LM help file part that explains the animations. Also look in the noob thread at the top.

Yes the old koopa hack is on my website. I may have taken it down, I can't remember. I also have a goomba one which is really cool There are some really cool looks for the goomba one. So if you want to check my site...it may still be there If not I can upload it again.

Just type in Lunar Magic 1.01 in google. Its on some french site with ALOT of orange. I am pretty sure the site has ROMs so I can't provide a link sorry. The levels will look really bad, so I dont see the point of doing it anyway. Were you REALLY far into your hack? or just 3 or 4 levels? If its only a few levels with NO ASM it may be possible to unlock it with few graphical errors. That would involve a comparision hex editor tho. You can always search google for one

What?

Do you mean just do the exact oppisite of what the lock does to the hack? Like 1,2,3 to 3,2,1? If so, thats what I did (sort of) in order to unlock ROMs. The only thing is, Fu says it changes the lvl format (I think thats what he said) and I wasn't going to argue seeing as HE created it (the lock format). But if you take 2 unedited Roms, lock one and keep the other unlocked, then compare the two in a hex editor you will see only a few minor differences scattered thru out the ROM. There are really only 4 bytes (I think) that you need to cahnge to unlock the rom. But if you want correct graphics, level layouts, and interactions, there are alot more you need to change. I have all of them documented in an .xls file I can just look of og to unlock a rom.

But im not really going to get into it seeing as people may be angry at me again.

Then go with what A-LOL-r1a said. Mario's palette is the...6th line from the bottom? Can't remembre as I never edit his palette. If you want to be sure, just make sure that a custom palette ISN'T enabled and open up the palette editor. Then change mario's palette via the drop down list to the right. Look for what it changes and then X out the palette editor. Enable custom palette (Only if you want mario's palette to change for one level. If not don't enable custom palette).

Ya, the way I unlock a ROM really doesn't matter. It will show you your level layout, but it will be garbled far beyond any recognision. Its completely useless unless you have like 3-4 levels done with no ASM. Just listen to everyone else and start over. You can always play thru your hack in ZSNES, savestate every few screens, and open those saves in Bgmapper. Then you can view parts of your level layout, but that would take forever. So ya just restart This has happened to me twice so I know its a pain but I have much better level designs and Graphics because of it.

Also, the ripper has spent many hours (well, I do because I want my rips to be perfect), ripping the graphics from games. So say I spend 1 hour ripping those bridges from DKC and someone comes along and rips them from my game in 5 mins. That would get me angry because of the hard work I spent ripping them.

Also, with sunnysides graphics, they are handdrawn so its 100% obvious that they would be stolen if permission wasn't given. I wouldn't want to spend hours drawing graphics only to see them in a glitchy hack.

I personally think that nintendo should be credited because they created the game engine, graphics, graphics from other games, and the entire layout for SMW. If not for them I dont think any of this stuff would be possible.

Pic...

1. Way to red. Make the lava darker, and then make the BG even draker than the lava.

2. I think this one looks really good.

3. That BG is terrible. And why such a contrast between the ground and lava. Make the ground a redish brown and the lava dark red, maby blackish gray....

4. Looks good...empty but good.

5. OMG. sorry but this just looks bad...

6. Looks good, but use some ExGFX as well for the 'sparkies'. Rip the graphics from SMB2 for the sparkies or design your own. Even use the ones from SMW.

7. Looks good. This one would be mush better as ice instead of sky. Ice should have light blue and purple shades with few REALLY dark areas.

8. Best shot. When I first saw it I thought the ground was ExGFX, but its not. One palette change is make the gray dots on the ground a dark yellow orange.

You should really get into making levels with ExGFX. There are some very cool Files at the ExGFX workshop you could use. I ripped a cave Bg from YI that you could use. Juggling Joker made an amazing set that has happy theme to it. I can't wait to see the new shots.

This is amazing!!! I find Eggvine hard to use, but I guess thats just me. I really have to see the graphics to make a hack which sucks bet I work visually...

Anyway, can't wait for a demo of this hack!! I have never seen those large fire guys you have in the 2nd shot...what level are they in in YI? They remind me of a boss in SMB2.

Also, I just ripped what you call "stone castle" and am using it in my SMW hack Im also useing the set, and BG in my hack that you have in the post with the single screen shot.

One question: Has anything been found in YI data, object or sprite wise, that was never used in the game but someone is using it in there hack?

I am in the process of creating a hack with only an overworld edit. For what I am doing I need each of those submaps to be twice their size. But I only want 3 submaps. So I need to delete 3 of them and then stretch out the other three. I know this will require some ASM or hex editing so does anyone have OW data?

Even better would be to delete all the submaps and stretch the Main Ow over the deleted area.

Any help would be great

I really like the new ground. I figure its hand drawn and its very well done!! I like how your going to try and replace everything in the game, I have tried...its VERY hard work. Replacing bowser especially...

Anyway, I think you should add some shading to that boarder it seems plain. I think this hack looks well worth it from the one shot I have seen...maby some more.
