Personally, I would go with 10,000 FREE MEN AND THEIR FAMILIES. I don't quite understand the comic, but graphic-wise it caught my eye. How big are these things anyway? If you already mentioned that, I missed it. |

Well, if it already JSL'd after you made a break, then do it before the JSL. You could do it when you start the battle if you wanted to. It would give you ALOT of data tho. Perhaps hit the big boo with the last block and set the break right then and there. I don't do ASM, so Im not to sure what any of this means. I know a JSL is a jump to a location in a ROM tho. How do you know it's JSL anyway? Couldn't it be JMP or CALL? You seem to know more about this then me. I don't think I can be of much help. |

Holy crap that overworld is sexy. About the volcano overworld, meet me on MSN later today. Comments: 1. Very Nice. 2. Not to fond of this, but you and d4s did an awesome job and the HDMA (?) looks awesome! 3. I forgot to mention this, but that ground really contrasts everything else. BG is awesome tho. 4. This screen always reminded me of FFX (or X-2). It looks really nice. 5. I love those YI piranha plants they are awesome. You did great with those. 6. Looks great. I also make the switch palace the color of the switch. And I use that BG. 7. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Looks great. 8. Once agian this looks awesome. Your palettes match YI perfectly. 9/10. Lightning (you keep forgeting the "n" in there) is awesome!!!! 11. Glitch I forgot to mention is that that hole goes off the platforms sometimes. 12. Looks great. I would change pokeys palette to green. The yellow is way to bright. 13. Background is very nice. This level was fun until....well you know. 14. Very great. I know it may seem weird, but maby you should make the podoboos mud instead of fire. After all, they aren't falling into lava |

1. I'm telling you that MSPaint is SO much better for copy/pasting of images into a snes game. Remember the snes makes almost everything (actually everything in SMW) out of 16x16 squares. Thats 4 8x8 blocks. 2. You need the letters to be 16x16 pixels for the front of a message box. If you want a boarder around the message box, make it 15x15 pixels and add a 1 pixel boarder. Hope some of this helps you. |

There isn't one (that I know of) in BT or in the game originally. However, block code seems to be fairly easy. I can't do it, but perhaps you can figure it out by asking around. I know someone on this board has a block workshop, so there might be one in there. I think it's a single byte change for a block to release something different. Wish I could be of more help. |

I think this thread is to put our ideas out there right? Well, I just want to post an image (that I can't make a whole thread about) so that my idea is out there and no one else uses it. Thats the status bar for my SMW hack. Mainly I posted it because it's the first one I have seen with that color usage, a mario head, and a roundish "item" holder with that look. In SMB they used HDMA to make the BG wave. They also made the water a gradient at the top to make the water seem deep. I don't think they edited mario's graphics. | |||

First off, it's got to be 4bit not 8 bit. Thats probably why mario looks really bad in YY-chr. The reason I recommend paint is because it is more precise. The tools are really squarish which is great for SMW editing. I want you to open the image in MSPaint, select a single mario, and then paste him into YY-Chr. Thats how I do it, (well, I rip from savestaes), when I make my own graphics. Did you make these Mario's or find them on the net? |

I go back to school on September 4th! I'm not happy yo go back, but it's after *most* of you, so thats great. However you get out of school earlier than ~June 24th right? Anyway, if Prier stops posting for a second I may beable to get first or something today. I'm not going for number 1 this month tho. You get out LM, BT, and a calculator (windows calc is great). Go to a Map16 page in LM. Hold your mouse over a square and note the numbers that show up at the bottom of the 16x16 editor screen. For this example I will use 0x3D2. That is a tile on the 4th (?) Map16 page. Now open CALC and go to the hex mode. Type in 3D2 (or what ever numbers you had on the Map16 page). Now click on the DECIMAL mode. You will notice the number change to 978. This is the number that BT needs. Open BT and select your ROM. Now select the block you want. Type in that number. Save. Close and then re-open LM. Go to the page and block area with the number you used. That tile now has the properties (or should) of the block you inserted. Remember to make backups of your game doing things like this. Also, to many blocks causes slow down. Ii hope this helps. Post if you need more help or don't understand something. |

First off, it's blackhole89 . He is busy programming some tRO ASM stuff. He mentioned it a while ago (a week?). I'm not to sure on the % complete, but it will be done when it's done. You can PM him and ask him about it. I did about 2 weeks ago and thats when he told me he was busy and on vacation and all that fun stuff. ~EDIT~ So I don't sound like a total ass here is a link to where blackhole89 said this stuff. By setting the graphics properties. BT only sets the "act like" settings of the block (act like SMB3 brick, ect). YOU need to make the graphics. You just click on the block in the 16x16 editor and go to edit (or something like that) at the bottom. It will pop a screen up with 4 boxes you can input numbers in at the top. These numbers correspond with the 8x8 editor. So open the 8x8 editor, hold your mouse over a tile you want to use. You will see numbers in the bottom left of the 8x8 editor screen. Put these numbers into one of the 4 boxes in the other screen. Most likely you will need ExGFX for the block you insert, and I am not explaining how to use ExGFX again (check the stickies). Others are taking it too. The orange is actaully fitting the more I look at it. One question: Why does the space image thing go OUT of your post?
