What BT16 said. I'd also like to add the satisfactory feeling when I make my own games and actually accomplish something.

I lead a reletively secure life. Once, though, someone stole my gameboy pocket that I had brought to school, during the 4th or 5th grade...
Not only did i have to lose my gameboy, i also had to tell my parents that i snuck it in. Lesson learned...

I guess I'm pretty lucky, tho.

i like the idea of a pop-up menu indeed. I dunno how hard this would be, but maybe you should be able to quote a message using the menu. You right-click the post you want to quote, then you'd click the menu item "Quote", or something. You may want to rename the moderating tasks to "post tasks", since we can delete our own posts. Make sure the rest of them are hidden however.

Posted on 05-01-04 05:32 PM, in Where I disappeared to during April Vacation... Link
I would have posted this on Monday, but I had a busy week.

Anyways, during April vacation (which was last week for us) I went on an awesome Boy Scout trip. We went all over the place. Pictures will probably come next week. As soon as i can get my dad to develop them...

Day 1: We had a very long bus ride from cambridge elementary school (which is somewhere in VT) to Acton, Mass. There, we got are tents set up, had my favorite dinner ever (spagetti ), and basically hung out. At around 8:00, we went to see the flag-lighting ceremony (or something). You should have been there. They made a giant teepee fire. Each "stick" in the teepee was actually a log/tree. The fire rose to like 50 feet, and sparks flew for about 200 feet. Anyways, several of the boy (and girl) scout troops did some sort of skit (but not me ). Then we went back to our tent and somehow got to sleep at around 10:30, only to wake up at 4:00 in the morning.

In case you were wondering, "we" means me, my friend Shawn, and my other friend Justin.

I will post more about it in future posts. Any questions, feel free to ask.

My family thinks my brother has Autism... some very rare form that is not severe. He is 8 years old. He has many friends. His intelligence surpasses everyone else in his class-- he reads at 5th grade level, but is in 2nd grade. He can even run MS-DOS. He knows more about outer space that me. He does not like change- we went on vacation for 12 days to Disney World, and he didn't enjoy being away from home until the last few days. He won't compromise when he wants something. If anything doesn't go his way, he has a crying fit. I'm learning to cope with his condition... but it's still painful if I beat him on MarioKart... he hates to lose. He will be checked for Autism this winter. They're taking him to a children's hospital. Those are some things I know about his case of it. It's hard to live with.

He does sound quite a bit like I was at that age. But I have an even lighter case, they said I had a high-functional case of Aspurgers, which is sorta high case of Autism, so...

BTW, when did everyone find out they had Autism/Aspurgers? (if they know for sure) . My parents knew about it early (when i was 4 or 5) but i didn't know until i was in 4th grade.

You are saying a lot of customizations that are in Pen and Paper Rpgs like D+D. And i must say, a video game with the customization of D+D would be very cool, maybe even cooler than morrowind! THUG also has a lot of customizing. (THUG = Tony Hawk's UnderGround)

I don't really have an idea for a game, but if i did make a game, it'd be in C or Xbasic or something, not RPGmaker or somesuch.

I can't remember, but my parents say that when I was 2, I played SMB.

BTW, how many people have owned every nintendo system ever (NES, SNES, 64, GC)? My family has.

...do you think that there is any other language I should learn first to smooth the way between Qbasic(ACK!) and C++?

I want to do a program something along the lines of this game, except updated, and able to make your own items.

It does sound interesting, yes, but I wouldn't do it because it sounds freaky, and besides, I'm a Christian so I wouldn't want to delay my meeting with the lord.

Living to see humans advance to the point of leaving the galaxy does sound interesting, though.

Wow, those all sound very cool.
I used to be really into dreams, but not as much anymore. The few lucid dreams I had (none of which I expected) mostly involved flying.

Wow, so much craziness, and I have nothing to contribute.

Who added the music on the first page?

I haven't been at the board in a long times. You know what's crazy? I have 0.05 posts/day. ONO!

If I do eat right before bed, it's whatever someone else is eating, like if my parents are staying up late watching a movie I'll have popcorn.

At least you're here to not be liked.
I'm almost never here. I mean, look at my profile, 0.07 posts/day.
Therefore, I don't really know anyone here. My only suggestion is follow the rules in the faq, and you should be fine.

My dad forgot his keys in the car one time and the windows were almost all the way up. I nearly broke my arm trying to reack to unlock it, but in the end I think he used a coat-hanger or something. It was hilarious.

I think that would be an excellent idea, of course.
