I just started using this program and am of course already a bit lost. I understand the basics, but of course will need some help with some of the more advanced stuff.
So here we go with the Q&A session:

1. Is there a good tutorial page set up for this program.

2. Where do I go to find the normal breakable brick blocks? They don't seem to be listed anywhere.

3.How do you keep the Pipe tops from turning to yellow or blue when you drag them to the right of the map?

4. How do you set a pipe to allow you to go down, and then another to go up.

5. Where do I go to edit the title screen?

6. How do I change the overworld map, and mark where level enterences are?

That's all for now, thankx in advance for any help!

Oh ya sorry, yes I am using Lunar Magic.

As for the pipes being different colors...

The only part that changes color is the part with the opening at the top. So basically if I want a very tall pipe, it will be green all the way until the top, then it is yellow or what ever and clashes.

As for Question #4.: How do I make I pipe I can go down? And then How do I make a pipe I can go up?

And 2 new ones.

How do I change Mario's different posistions on the map.

How come sometimes the screen does not scroll up when mario walks up a large hill?

Ok, so I goto this page:

http://php4you.irth.net/KT15X/kt.php

Downloaded some exgfx packs, unzipped the files into the exgraphics direcotory inside Lunar Magic's working directory. I goto file, Import exgfx, and it tells me there are no GFX in there, yet they are!

What could I be doing wrong?

I over looked the tutorial above.

Ok I got that done, I installed the SMB3 pack to the directory, renamed the files like such:

exgfx80.bin
exgfx81.bin
exgfx82.bin

Now the files load up when I click on the yellow mushroom.

next it says to click on Super GFX Bypass in order to use the gfx in your level.

Well I do that, open up my 16x16 editor, and there is NOTHING new in there.

Now what?

Sorry, wish I was not new, but I am. :/

Ok that got me a lot further, but...

I extracted Map16Page.bin and Map16PageG.bin to the root of the LM directory.
I extracted the smb3_grass.bin to the ExGraphics directory which is inside of my LM directory.

I go through the mothions as you started above, and clicked on YES when it asked the Y or N questions, and now I have new GFX, but they look NOTHING like the picture featured on the page, rather it is a bunch of garbage. Also now all of my pipes and many of my blocks have been changed to garbage gfx, and yes I did indeed select an unused slot in the gfx menu.

There is nothing new in the 8x8 section. Only the 16x16 section. Infact the new GFX in the 16x16 section even resemble (except for in color) the Garbage gfx that are now in my map.

I think I need this explained in DETAIL from the very beginning because I have absolutly no idea what the heck I am doing.

Nothing.

Ok let's back up a bit.

When I am in the Super GFX Bypass screen, I need to put a check mark in the top box then, which do I select?

FG1
FG2
or
FG3?

After that do I need to change anything else in this window?

After the Window is closed I go straight to the 16x16 editor, hit F3, then hit OK, then F9 hit OK, and then I should be ready for the tile editing? If this is so something is wrong.

PROGRESS!!!

Ok, now I have the new GFX in the 16x16 editor as well as my ADD OBJECTS selection menu, and everything looks like it should...

...except of course the old GFX, which are now garbage in some cases. Since I used FG2 instead of 1 this time, it is my slopes, and passable dirt that looks like crap, as opposed to the Pipes and blocks.

So now how (in detail) do I go about correcting that?

EDIT:

Oh, and if I use a Breakable brick Graphic...

...when mario hits it, it turns into one of those yellow bricks that has eyes and spins...

Ok, I went to the Change Index Of GFX button, saw that FG2 was set to17.

Then what, where do I go to "set it back" to an original?

I went to Super GFX Bypass, and it was already on 17 as well.

?????????

When I installed my EXGFX pack, I told it to use FG3 80.

After I did this, all of my slopes and dirt have corrupted GFX. (I am working on the 1st stage so far).

So what is it I don't have to worry about? Everything is screwed up for this level now,

We're not talking DOOM Legacy here, so ya I'd say I'm as NOOB as you get.

Now to make you pull your hair out, as I have already done mine.

If I am getting you right, you want me to isert the ExGFX using the guide above, placing it in posistion 80 in FG3.
After which I will goto the 16x16 editor, hit F3 and F9 so that my new GFX appear, and my slopes are now trashed.
Then after this you want me to goto to the add objects menu till I can see my new GFX, which is what I've been doing.

What I want to know is why is it that it HAS to destroy your Slopes and Dirt or what ever? I take it Mario World does not want any new GFX installed unless old GFX are sacrificed?
Also why is it that the breakable bricks siply change into Turn blocks instead of breaking?

I REALLY wish there was some sort of step by step tutorial on this kit, I have no idea how you guys learned all this from scratch.

Ok, so you are telling me there is NO way around this, and that some GFX must be sacrificed per level in order to import new ones?

If that's the case then ok, I'll learn to adjust.

Ok, I set the Pipes with an Exit, then I ran a check and it says it needs a destination set or what ever, otherwise you end up stuck in that bonus game.
What I'd like to do rather than goto a bonus game is have the pipe drop mario out of the bottom to a lower section of the stage. I think I see where you are supposed to set that up (Add modify Screen Exits), and I know how to see what screen I am on, but beyond that I have NO idea how you set up the level destination or secondary exit.

Also I am still not understanding how to posistion Mario.

EDIT: Figured out Mario Posistioning.

New problem. I can add the GFX to a level, but then if I switch to another level and try to add GFX, then return to the level which I had already added GFX, I get some error about the BG. If you need specifics, I'll give them later, I gotta go.

Ok, in the first level which is oddly level 105, I set up a pipe with exit enabled on screen 0A.
I then set a pipe under it which I expected to be able to drop out of or what ever. Rather what happens is I set the exit 0A Stage 105, and when I enter the pipe, it just flashes the screen and starts me at the beginning of the stage again.

So Mario World is not like Mario 3 in that I can jump in a tube and slide out the bottome?
That's what I was going for actually.

What is ASM, is that a script?

Please share your findings.
