You could probably change Luigis pants to black cause he has that color. BTW, you should use a image host like PhotoBucket to post your pictures. Much better than zip files.

I patched this to a V1.0 and it works great. It's pretty sweet cause it makes the game seem a bit more like your conventianal Mario Bros games. How about making a version of the hack where the coins you get from plants would be counted toward your coin total, and bypass the bonus game all together. By this time I kinda am tired of the mini-game anyway and would like some straight up action.

BTW, I think the sum of coins you need to get to get during the game is a bit high. THere wasn't exactly alot of cherries to be found in the game so perhaps you should lower the amount we need to find to get a oneup. I think it would be ok to not follow the rules set in other Mario games for how much u need for a oneup because this game didn't follow those rules in the first place (no stompable enemies etc). Lower it to 60 40 or 20 I think.

I remember spending alot of time playing this game when I was younger. I remember laughing at the fact that it was an american made game caues "everyone knows only japanese know how to make good games". I wound up liking the game when I did play it tho. Simplistic graphics but still a solid game. Good work on finding the level info.

I'm guessing you are planning to release the wario land forest set for people to use. In which case people will be free to color the ground whatever color they want.

I think that the closing of the gfx workshop thread is probably temporary. It looks like some people used it for their own purposes and flamed the hell out of it. I think they out to go weed out that thread and have only the most important posts left. That would cut down the number of pages people would need to page thru.

Posted on 03-26-05 04:25 AM, in Changing objects in SMB2 Link
Ive been using the super mario 2 discombobulater and been trying to change the items inside certain plants. According to the "about the editor" option I am supposed to press the + and - buttons to change the object. Well, I highlighted and pressed all buttons that could represent the correct key. I used them in combination with Shift, control, alt keys. I then tried various other keys on the keyboard. Anyone know how to get this darn thing to work? I just wanna put a few coins in the light world levels.

If you have a really good sound card, you can get a sound-recording program and have it record from Stereo Mix. This records every sound the computer makes (except the built-in speaker ), but it's equivilant to (in fact, I think it is) a physical connection between the input and output, so a crappy sound card will yield bad results.

People have said that using this method would degrade the sound quality. Im not really a sound buff and haven't noticed any difference. They probably have that belief cause they got a crappy sound card. This is the method that I use. I record the sound, it is recorded in wav format. Then I use a program to convert it to mp3.

Well, I was trying to do that earlier. I haven't quite got the hang of hex editors yet. There's alot of 102a's in the hex editor. "00BF-00C3" BTW, another bug report. The left side of the pyramids in World 2 are replaced with coins. I think I'll be playing this game thru to the end so if anything similar happens I'll post it.

My girlfreind is having some problems with her computer. For some reason the computer crashes everytimethat she opens up her IE webrowser. I sent her Firefox and she set it up but it would crash then too. She can use the messengers still. She ran a virus scanner so I don't think that the viruses are the problem. So, any suggestions of programs we could try running to fix this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

I've seen mockups of older model computers being converted to laptops. You will need a portable powersource ( a car battery will serve). Then you use a suitcase. In one side you put the monitor. And the other you would put the hard drive. I would advice that you duct tape both to the suitcase to make it a little more stable so it won't fall out. You want to protect your investment after all. If you go to a thrift shop I'm sure you can find a computer for cheap. I saw the mockup of the homeade portable computer on a tv commercial and unfortunately didn't get a screen capture of it. But I don't think it should be too hard to make.

I think she ran a spyware remover so far. I'll send her a adware remover, I'll have to find a malware remover. I'm not sure what it is. Her computer is canadian. If that makes any difference.

Nice idea to relase different difficulties. I don't know if you need the one that gives you infinite health tho. If the game is that hard for people let them enter game genie codes.

Posted on 03-27-05 06:59 AM, in Oddity with colors in my hack Link
I'm currently trying to change the color of the coins in this hack. So I opened nesticle, found the colors hex and I changed every find with my hex editor. It seems that it didn't work until you reach level 2 of world 1. You'll notice I changed the coins to all black (It is only to test if I found the right hex for changing colors). So, what can I do to effect the coins in level 1 of world 1? Any help would be appreciated.

To see the problem I am talking about download the patch below. Attatch it to a USA version of tiny toons.

Ok, I think I should be able to fix the colors now. Could you tell me how you found the address for where the colors were located? Cause this won't be the only item I will be wanting to recolor.
