Okay, first off, look here for disassemblers and assemblers for whatever you're dealing with (if it's not there, try google).
Assembler source documents are basically just regular text documents (like you'd create with Notepad, for instance); they only have a different extension to signal their purpose.

And again, for general tutorials, the link I gave earlier should have enough to at least get you started (and then you can come back with more specific questions ).

Not quite 2 hours, I'd estimate. Though it would probably depend on how far you can hit the ball per swing, so if you can hit the ball far enough, maybe less than 1

I'm going to take a wild guess and say Hamburg, Germany.
Yep. If I correctly remember the story, there was a restaurant owner in Hamburg who'd make these sandwiches with beef, eggs (and some other stuff that I don't remember, lol) for the American sailors who were in town (this was shortly after WW2, I *think*), and when the sailors got back home, they just referred to the sandwiches as "Hamburgers", and that was that.

Hmmm... Grey popped ahead of me in the monthly rankings... I'll have to see if I can pull something out of my hat.

Anyway, it's not all that bad considering I haven't been truly TRYING to post much lately... but still, a top 10 finish wouldn't be unwelcome.

I totally agree.
I absolutely *love* (well, okay... not *literal* love, but everyone knows what I mean ) some of the oldest games I have... but newer games are still a lot of fun if they were done properly.
Age doesn't matter if the game is good... the graphics and sound will (almost) always be better with newer games, but the gameplay is what makes a game truly great.

I've got a brand new GBA SP here... and exactly one game to go with it. (The "classic" edition of Zelda)

I have the cash to get 2 games for it... but I don't know any GBA games that well.

I've seen FF Tactics Advanced, as well as a "... of Mana" game (I think it was Sword of Mana, but I'm not sure ), and several other games from series that I recognize (Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, etc.), and I have no clue which of them are good....

So, I'd like some recommendations for 2 games (preferably RPGs where I can easily save my progress), and some details about what makes those games good, please.

People don't have the time or desire to understand issues like this anymore, so they just stick with the easy answers/solutions....

Common problem these days, unfortunately.

It's supposedly a remake of the old Final Fantasy Adventure, which was a lot of fun, so it stands to reason that this would be good too.
I'll see about picking it up then.

You may have played and beaten it on SNES (Probably more than once), but A Link to the Past is available on GBA. It's one of my favorite SNES games, and I can't see why the GBA version would be any different.
Actually... no, I never played any Zelda game other than the original.

You may also look into the port of Breath of Fire II. It was fun for the early going, then I let my friend borrow it and forgot where I was. Oops. Oh well.
I'll check that out then.

I just started playing today.

It looks good (especially for being free!), but I had a very difficult time getting oriented... I spent about an hour trying to find the way back to the castle you start in once you finish the tutorial.

Btw, if you accidently leave something in the bank in the tutorial, is there any way to get it back?

I don't think it could sound like anything OTHER than a huge load of crap... to me it looks like it was written by someone who just wanted to put notes down on the paper... not someone who actually knows what they're doing.

Damn... too many good games... too little cash...

I think I'll start off with Sword of Mana and Zelda, and move on to the others when I get more cash on hand.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I also agree that Emptyeye is handling this very well... I don't know if I'd be handling it as well as he is if I were in his situation.

Just make sure you get better, Emptyeye... you're one of the best posters here, and I think it's safe to say that people like you around here, and want you to stay.

Damn... now I'd have to get in the top 5 twice to get back into the top 10 for the month... and that's if Grey doesn't score anything more at all....
Or if I get 1st place once (unlikely) and Grey doesn't score anything more, we'd tie... but I doubt I can post that much in the next couple of days.

Ah well... there's always next month, anyway.

Congrats on the 3rd place finish, Ranko.

Extremely strategic... I'll have to play that a few times to get the hang of it.

I like it though... but not enough to play it every day.

I might just go watch that... I'm usually not into star-gazing and such, but it could make a nice evening... and I wouldn't have to go far to get away from the city lights, considering I live in what's basically a farming town.

It'd be nice if they'd make such large patches available over something like BitTorrent... that would make it a lot easier for people to get (especially dial-up users who get disconnected frequently), and it'd be cheaper for MS at the same time.

And I'm paying VERY close attention to the compatibility issues... I have lots of old apps that have had zero support for several years now, so if SP2 breaks any of those, I'm going to have some problems until I get my hands on workarounds.
