17 posts and I get 4th place... yeah, yesterday wasn't very busy.

Well, at least it seems to imply that people have a life outside the board.

Whether said life involves actually going outside though... well now, that's another matter.

You got a stick-figure tatoo?
Was there a reason for that?

You can't, unfortunately.
I have computers with the German version of 98SE... but I'm not sure how well the stuff there correlates with the French version....

Do you have the manual for your motherboard?
If so, does it tell you the chip model # for the sound chip? (Should be a 5 digit number, if I remember VIA's model numbering system correctly).
If you can find that for me, I can find the correct drivers for you, and we can go from there.

I have XP, 2000, and 98SE (I have more than a few computers ).

I voted XP because I like it the best right now, as long as the theme is set to "Windows Classic" (I HATE the default UI theme for XP), but I can get along with any of them with equal ease.

Every now and then I keep trying to figure out Linux... but until I can play all of my games on it, it's not a serious option for me.

Kega Fusion looks good so far, but it is still beta, so I'm going to wait to test that out.

(That, and it takes 100% CPU usage while active, no matter how fast your machine is ).

I've only needed to reinstall XP when changing the motherboard in the machine (and technically I could've done without reinstalling it then... but it was a good excuse to clean up my harddrive of stuff I hadn't used in a while ).

I would love to get a Saturn, if only just for the Virtua Fighter games... but there's always the lack of spare cash problem.

That, and my wife would probably kill me for wasting the money for a Saturn just for 2 games.

Okay, go here, and download the multilanguage version (I'm assuming that you'd want to use French, if you've got a French version of Windows ), read the ReadMe file, and follow its directions.
Hopefully, installing the latest drivers should fix the problem.

Great, glad to hear it.

And yeah... Windows can't *always* tell exactly what's wrong if there are driver issues, because if it's a driver-related problem, the driver's usually sending back faulty data to Windows.

Has anyone seen this movie yet?
I just got home from it, and man... that was one hell of a funny movie....

Stefan Raab was right when he talked about missing half of the jokes because he was still laughing from the others, lol....

For those of you unfamiliar with the movie, the website is here. [Warning: website in German]

Only way I know of to do that, is to play the ROM in an emulator that has an option to record sound output... otherwise, I don't know of any way you can do that without using NSFs.

At the moment, yes; but there are several people who speak/understand German on this board.

And they put out a special edition of "Der Schuh des Manitu" with an English soundtrack, so they might do that with this one too.
Granted though... some of those jokes and gags won't make a whole lot of sense in English, so they'd have to come up with new ones... but Bully shouldn't have too much of a problem with that.

Congrats man, that's one heck of an accomplishment.

I haven't done it yet, but I've been wanting to give it a try as soon as I've finished a few other things (I always seem to have too many projects going on at once ). I don't think I'd have any trouble doing it though; I've beaten that game several times with parties that were... odd, and I level up pathologically anyway in FF games.

Btw, did you use a real NES to do it?

8th place... not bad. I actually wasn't expecting to be in the top 10 at all yesterday, so that's cool.

Looks like 10th place is the best I could probably get in this month's overall standings though... ah well, it's fun anyway, doesn't matter what rank I end up with.

They aren't really, unless you don't spend way too little time levelling.
