Game? Very difficult choice.... Probably Betrayal at Krondor... an oldie, but I haven't yet gotten tired of it

Film/DVD? Well... if my wife was with me, I'd let her pick... if not ( ), I'd have to do some *cough* browsing.

Album? Probably "Cover to Cover" by Paul Hardcastle.

Book? Some book of Dilbert comics... otherwise I'd have to bring the entire bookshelf, lol (too many books I like, lol).

I'd agree with Legion... if he gets unbanned, he'll get banned again sooner or later.

Well now... I wouldn't exactly say that, lol. This is my first ASM hack for anything other than a PC
So, I'm learning about the PPU, joystick, etc., as I need to.

I originally had to study joystick routine's for a hack i made to add to my existing hack, back when i knew some-what considerably less about NES dev and the such. It was the B-Button Dash one, where you hold the B-Button (obviously) and can run on world maps and towns.
Hmmmm... that's an idea for this hack, lol

By the way, are you expanding on the day/night hack by adding different enemies at night than in the day, so that it's not just a graphical hack?
I don't know if they'll be different enemies, but the fights will definitely be more difficult (it could be extra enemies at night, or their HP could be increased, etc.).

And on a sidenote, I just finished "porting" my hack into the disassembled files, and I changed the mapper (so that the new music stuff will work, and I'll be able to increase the ROM size easily now if/when I need to), so I can finally get back into working on it.

I don't think Kario should be unbanned because he has a record of not paying attention to the rules. 6 - 7 bans on the old board, plus the 2 bans on this board? That's 8 - 9 bans!! If he couldn't learn to go by the rules after those bans, what are the chances that he's learned it this time?

Btw, for those of you wishing for democracy ( ), the people voting for Kario *not* to be unbanned are currently winning the poll.

What about changing polls so that if someone's already voted, they can change or delete their vote?
That could solve 2 situations I can think of:
1) A person is confused by the wording, votes for the wrong thing (it's happened to me before)
2) A person votes one way, but after discussing it, has changed their opinion

What do people think? Would this be a good thing to add/change? Is it even possible? lol

EDIT: It seems I overlooked another thread that's talking about the same thing... sorry if that's the case.

Seriously. Just 'cause a woman's older than you doesn't mean she can't be attractive. Uma looks good for her age. I think Natalie looks better, but Uma still looks good.

I wonder if Natalie will age as well as Uma has though, lol.

Well, that'd be great except I haven't learned php, and don't have the spare time for it now

3) The polls here aren't that big of a deal anyway. They hold no relevance, really, other than to get opinions. So why bother going through all the hassle to do this?
It was just an idea that popped into my head. I thought I'd suggest it and see if people liked it or not. It's not a big deal, so if it's a lot of hassle, it's probably not worth it.

Well... where to start.

I have:
- a KVM switch (so I can connect a single keyboard, mouse, and monitor to multiple computers)
- 2 sets of speakers (one of them has a subwoofer)
- a 19" monitor (1600x1200 )
- numerous CD's and jewel cases
- Unreal 2004, and Warcraft 3 (Frozen Throne expansion)
- at the moment, I have 3 different programming books on my desk, all covering different languages
- a bottle of soda (7-up today, but I change pretty often)
- a bag of chips I haven't finished
- a box of tissues in case my nose starts running
- a pair of nail-clippers (don't even remember how they got here, lol)
- a spare pack of batteries for my wireless mouse
- a "mini-PC" is on top of my desk (under the monitor stand)
- and various other spare computer parts I'm not sure what to do with, lol

I just think it's a shame that the Germans caught him... they don't have any good punishments in their laws for a POS like him.

Heck, in Germany, a life sentence means you'll be out of jail in 15 - 20 years usually.

I liked the episode where they made their uncle think it was a day later than it was, and that caused a chain reaction over pretty much the entire world, lol.
And all for a scooter, if I remember right? lol

I totally agree!
Anytime I have to enter my EMail address anywhere I don't trust, I use my Yahoo! address instead of my "real" address.
I get absolutely no spam in my real address because of this, and it only takes a couple minutes a day to clean the spam out of my Yahoo! box.

hhallahh, you might want to check that source a bit better... last time I checked, they were counting EVERY Iraqi death, not just civilians, but also Iraqi soldiers from Saddam's regime, and the insurgents.

Actually, there's also OpenWatcom which is open source, like gcc, but it also tends to act like Microsoft's compiler, which most books or tutorials seem to assume you're using, so overall I'd recommend it.
The downside is that if you just want to download the installer, it's 60MB (not a problem for me since I'm on DSL, but it would easily be a problem for someone on dialup). You can download individual packages though, but it's more work that way.

As for the original question, you might want to check out a book titled "Windows 95 Programming in C and C++" by Herbert Schildt. That's where I learned all of that stuff. There's probably something new out by now though, covering more recent operating systems, but Win95 programs still work even on XP, so that's probably not a big deal for you yet.
