8-Bit Theatre is my personal favorite, but I'm weird sometimes. | |||

I vote for no tattoo. I don't like them at all, personally... but ultimately it's YOUR body, so you have to be happy with it. |

There's no such thing as a 64-bit AMD XP. There are AMD Athlon XP's, which are 32-bit only, and AMD Athlon 64's, which have both 32-bit and 64-bit modes. And no, it doesn't clock around 3GHz; the Athlon XP 3200+ clocks at 2.2GHz, and the Athlon 64 3200+ clocks at 2GHz, IIRC. Other than that, it looks pretty sweet to me. |

Originally posted by CobyThat's an Athlon 64 then. XP's were only available for Socket "A" (aka, Socket 462). I wouldn't overclock that. It has the VIA K8T800 chipset, which doesn't have a PCI/AGP clock lock -- that means that if you overclock your processor, you'll overclock the PCI and AGP busses too; that can lead to hard drive data corruption, and the graphics card not working right. |

I'll agree with most people here and say the NES edition; it's the one I'm looking at getting. Probably won't be able to get it before Christmas though.... |

It'll be MORE than fast enough for current games -- Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 though... well, who knows until they've actually been released? Btw: I'm running a P4 2.8C (800MHz FSB + HyperThreading), with a Radeon 9700 Pro, and I can play comfortably at 1600x1200 in UT2004, so you won't have any worries if you like to play that. |

I've been playing them again recently, and I was slightly amazed at how good they still are. If you still play Starcraft, what kind of maps do you like? RPG-like maps? ("Legends" springs to mind) Melee? (BGH is a common one) Or something else entirely? If you play Total Annihilation, can you tell me how to get the thing working online? I keep trying to play that with a friend of mine, but for some reason it won't work over the 'net for us. |

Originally posted by LilmarioI've yet to play anything past 6, but once I get my playstation (hopefully soon! ), I'll be doing some catch-up. The series as a whole is very good; although until X-2 all of the games were more-or-less "stand-alone"s (each of them has very little to do with any of the others, except for recurring themes such as moogles, chocobos, etc.). It's not my favorite, but it's a good one. |

AP = Advanced Placement, correct? I've been out of school long enough to forget things like that, lol. And man, that must absolutely suck for you guys... I never had to do any homework over the summer break, even for my advanced classes. |

Boredom for me: 1) Surfing my list of blogs repeatedly in case there was a new post by the blogger, or a new comment in one of the posts. 2) Continually refreshing the main page here; again, in case someone's made a new post. 3) Searching Google for random and strange things 4) If I'm in the right mood, I'll draw circuit diagrams for microcontrollers in MS Paint (that keeps me busy for a couple hours... MS Paint isn't a good program to do that with, lol ). |

Mac OS (any version) will not run on ANYTHING but Apple-made or licensed hardware; except through emulation (which would probably be way too slow for you). It was different when Macs ran on hardware other people used (back in the days of the 6502, and the early 680x0's), but that's ancient history by now. |
