I took the GED too. Got into college 2 years early that way.

I've gone to using shoes with velcro straps instead of strings for exactly that reason.
The strings were either too long, too short, wouldn't stay tied, or whatever... maybe it's because I wear large shoes or whatever, but I could never find a good set of strings for any of my shoes.

Well, I hate working without an IDE these days for anything but very small and simple projects*, so yeah, I'd basically be buying it for the IDE, lol.

*: I can't remember the last time I worked on a small OR simple project, let alone one that was both small AND simple.

Welcome to the board!

Read the FAQ, understand the FAQ, and post by the rules in the FAQ, and have a fun time while you stay

By the way, don't worry too much about the ranks; outside of limited circumstances, no one really cares about your post count except you.

Welcome to the board officially, then.

I'm sure you've heard this before, but.... Read the FAQ, understand the FAQ, and post by the rules contained within.

I can skip wishing you a fun time, since you're obviously already having one.

Welcome to the board, and have a fun time.

And those other people weren't joking when they say to read the FAQ, so go read it.

Already done, and we're working on the kids.

Testing with Mozilla, will edit the results into this post in a moment...

Edit:
Mozilla doesn't automatically scroll down either.

Not really a big deal though... is it really that difficult to hit the [End] button to scroll down to the bottom of the page (where the reply will be anyway)?

Well, I wouldn't exactly say that.
I've never played an MMO before, and I'm anxiously waiting for this one.

Although, I will admit that I'd drop this in a heart-beat if a Starcraft MMO ever came out....

There's sooooooo many tests you Americans have to/can take. GED, SAT, ACT, PCP... Urgh.

Canadians can take the SAT too if they plan on going to the States to continue their studies, but I took one look at that prep book (out of boredom) and... well... wouldn't exactly be keen on taking it. Even for a laugh.
I didn't take any of those except for the GED.
After I got the results from that, I applied to take the entrance exam at the college I wanted to go to, and I got in through that.

You're right that there are a lot of options... but there are actually very few tests we HAVE to do.

Definitely true about that -- it just takes them a while to get there sometimes. (See: WC3:TFT; it's at v1.16, and they're still not done with it, lol).

I still want another Starcraft game though... I hope they start working on one after they've gotten WoW out the door.

I agree, that's going too far.
I personally don't like those kinds of stunts... and of course, if I'm going to a concert, I want to enjoy the music, not watch a porno.

But anyway... there are plenty of things they could've done to raise money for the rainforest LEGALLY, so I don't see why they'd need to break the law.

10 / 14 on the first round.
8 / 14 on the difficult round.

Well, I guess my excuse is that my wife and I haven't needed any marital aids, so I didn't know what to look for.

I wonder when they'll get it translated so we can see it over here in Switzerland.
We're still watching the 6th season, if I'm not mistaken.

I hope Atlantis is good, but I doubt it'll be "as good" as SG-1 was... but I'll give it a chance, no problem there.

Btw, trivia fact about me:
My wife and I met in a chatroom for SG-1 fans.

So, by that logic, "make" is also useless.

And by the way, professional-grade IDEs come with tools and utilities that make my job as a programmer much easier. For example, dialog editors, icon editors, string table generators, etc., etc. Not having to write a .rc file myself is a HUGE benefit that saves me a lot of time, and that means I can get the interface done quicker, and then concentrate on coding.
