I agree; I said my wife likes it, not that I like it.

Anyways, this seems to be english lyrics to the song.

Posted on 07-04-04 09:05 PM, in RPGs ... Do you prefer random or visible battles ? Link
I prefer a mix of the two systems.
Visible fights that stay in one spot are the best, as long as there's a way to regenerate them (it's perfect if they're always there); that way I can pick when I want to fight and when I don't want to fight.
But the random system is good as well, because that can add some challenge; especially in dungeons where you don't get warped out after you beat the boss.

So, some kind of a mix is good, but I haven't gotten to play a game with a mix of the two yet.

Well, you could always use it for a gateway/proxy server, print/file server, or something along those lines.
Should be easy enough with Linux if you're already familiar with it.

Happy Independence Day!

I just wish I could be there to see the fireworks.
Ahh well, just a couple more years here in Switzerland, then I can move back home....

I prefer the beam sword personally.
No real reason except that I like swords.

I've been trying to get FF4 from Anthology (the European version) to work with ePSXe, and I've gotten everything working except for some black borders for some in-game tiles (like on the airship in the intro cinematic -- there are black boarders where the sky should be), and the river around Baron castle looks like sand instead.

I'm using ePSXe 1.6.0, and I've tried multiple GPU plugins, all with at least those 2 issues.
Anyone know what might solve this?

I haven't gone camping in a few years, but I always loved going.
Last time I went camping, I took my mountain bike along, and I rode around for hours at a time in the woods... I wish I could go again soon, but it probably won't happen, because my wife doesn't like camping.

Has anyone gotten this game to work properly in any emulator?
I'm not tied to ePSXe, so I'd switch to another emulator if it worked with this game (plus the other PSX FF games, of course).

The games tend to run best on a psx anyways, we've tried running them on the comp aswell, and it lagged like crazy. (we used ePSXe too, I think)
That's planned already, but I'm a little strapped for cash at the moment
Plus I don't have a place to plug the thing in at the moment -- no spare connectors on the TV (I have to get a switch box... which goes back to the strapped for cash thing ).

Lagging isn't a problem... they play just fine (I have a relatively recent machine -- outside of the graphics card, which is still pretty good), but the graphics just aren't right in a lot of spots, and it gets very distracting.

8) Don't reply to spam. You are not going to be "unsubscribed".

People should be made to understand that before they're ever allowed to touch a computer with a connection to the 'net.

18) If you're on AOL, don't worry about anything I've said here. You're already a fucking laughing stock, and there's no hope for you.

And that's just classic.

I've downloaded the Visual C++ Express beta, and I'm going to check that out.
If it works well enough, I'll postpone buying an updated compiler until this one's out.

While I wouldn't mind LT being on the front page once someone's found it and marked it read once, I don't really see the "fun" of entering it manually....
But then again, I have it bookmarked, so there's not much I have to do to get here.
