I'm surprised no one's voted for the super star yet! (Except me :LOL Everyone says that X item can kill a lot of enemies and protect it from stuff. WIth the super star...well...you're invincible Nothing can stop you! ...except for that stupid hole I keep falling down. Well, ALMOST nothing. |

orynider: I think Coby's referring to the fact that Yoshi's swallowing the Goomba through the pipe, perhaps? | |||

Funny, that link worked the first time I used it, and now it doesn't... I uploaded it to my site, and it should be the same (I zipped up my existing BlockTool program, all the files SHOULD be there). Download it here: http://www.geocities.com/smashbrosx/BlockTool.zip And please people, if there's another link GO THERE, I'm going to take this down within a day or two (once Cyber_Dragoon gets it, probably) |

Umm...wasn't there a more complete code-list-thing already up at http://board.acmlm.org/thread.php?id=286? Or is that what you meant by "posted before?" Whatever, I'll help anyway... The Bond movie is "The world is not enough!", and entered by going to Change Events Passed in the overworld, entering it, and hitting escape. The logo is now a star! The Map16 trick you mentioned also works for the 8x8 editor, BTW. There's more in the thread above but I never tried the rest (not that they don't work, but that I can't really reexplain them.). |

Yay, just what I needed! But this might be kinda tricky... --- World 0- Main Hub Main Map, in the middle. Theme: Plains 1 Yoshi's House 1 of 1 exit levels Any comments of the world: The Yoshi's House exits to 8 different worlds (complete in any order). The one exit level is like a password entry to get to the final (8th) world, kinda like SMW+4. If any of you can do this, PM me and I'll send you the rest of the layout. Thanks! |

World 9, eh? Too bad it isn't "Warp zone" anymore! (SMB3 reference) XD Sounds like a good idea! But then again, I like a lot of hacks... |

Lost Levels. Evil. I played on SMAS (saving on every level: your friend. Yes, I suck), and died over 100 times. Especially on castles. But I did get to world C-4. Not sure if I wanna try world D...*shidder* Aioria: I have no clue, but I'd bet on world 9 being a "Yay, you beat the first 8 worlds without warping! Here's a stupidly easy bonus world!" reward. 9-3 was pretty amusing though, I have to say |

The hack's a little glitchy, purposely (a la Strange Mario 3), or not. Some pipes I go down freeze up the screen or drop me into the star-background ground-less level of death. The card/You got a card! text is sometimes off, the camera doesn't scroll at critical points sometimes, and blahblahblah... But the hack is pretty good, glitches aside though. I like what you've done with the backgrounds and stuff (Castle = cool funkyness). |

Bowser's Castle levels! ...just kidding. *dies again* I like 2 types of levels. Plain levels, like chickenlump, because I can BREATHE between enemies, gaps, fireballs, lava, and other random deadly hazards. I am not an uber-1337 player, which is why half of the hacks I play (exaggeration) feel completely overwhelming...by the second level. Make no mistake, some challenge is good, but come on...isn't the first castle a little early to be putting one-inch gaps over lava on a scrolling level with a piranha plant ceiling...and did I mention the flying Koopa Troopas? (more exaggeration...kinda) Oh, right, the second type of level- underground level. Because that music is cool. |

A novel idea. Sounds like a hack I'd want to play! It sounds hard (at least from my uber-sucky hacking skill POV) to change all the stuffs to make it...er...Luigi-ized (i.e. What about Koopaling and Bowser battles? All new enemies? Fun with GFX?), but would be worth the effort. I look forward to this! |

Actually Kitten Yiffer, you can collect dung or something similar in Neopets...they had a series if I remember correctly. XD Anyway, on topic, I'd love to donate, but I just deleted my old account 'cause I was tired of Neopets. Silly me...sorry! |

Out of curiosity, where could I find this hack? I always like to add a good hack (or even a bad one, sometimes) to my collection. But yeah, this is probably ASM or something, 'cause I don't think there were any instant-kill enemies/things in SMB, if I remember right. But don't ask me, I don't have a clue about ASM, except that you use it to add stuff that wasn't there before X_X |

I personally use Lunar IPS. It can patch for more than one system, and runs in Windows. But, I've never tried another patcher, as LIPS works for me, so there might be better out there. |

1) No, the sky one is just there to look cool and make you look a little bit closer in some of the levels... 2) What do you mean by that? |

Just going to put in my *checks piggy bank* 37 cents here... I had a similar idea for my hack (which is still a long long long looooong ways away). The overworld went something like this: (Oh yeah, and props to SM_Gamer's Overworld Creation service for actually making this ) Mario starts in a middle level, like a hub. From here, you can go down one of eight pipes, likey this: 1 2 3 4 M 5 6 7 8 And yes, M is for Mario, and no, you still can't move diagonally. Anyway, each of the pipes goes to it's own little happy place on the overworld (both the main map and submaps), and from there you can complete any world in any way you want (they work relatively normally) Now, here's my little 'how to block Bowser' trick: World 8 goes to happy-fun-time Bowser world. In order to enter the world, you must first enter the password level. There you go down a crapload of numbered pipes and whatnot to the goal. To get the password, you must beat the previous 7 castles. Each castle gives you a piece of the password in it's victory text, i.e. "Mario has beat Lemmy. Go you! Part 3 of the password is '4'." (I think this was used before in SMW4+ or one of Golden Yoshi's hacks, right?) It's pretty simple, and the only problem I can think of is that if you open up the ROM in LM...it's all useless. Hey, but if you're gonna cheat, I can't stop you (but I can lock the hack ) |
