I've had(and am still having) this EXACT same problem with the Mega Mole. =\ I need it to use palette 9, so I don't have it changing colors when Mario gets a Fire Flower...

You can extract the ExGFX from the rom (MAKE SURE IT'S IN A DIFFERENT FOLDER THAN YOUR HACK) and copy it to your hack's ExGraphics folder.

Holy shit...

peter_ac owns us all when it comes to SMAS GFX.

I can't wait for this to be finished. :O Until then all I can do is play his SMB1, but that's good too.

Whoa, calm down! I don't want this to get closed...

I think peter_ac just seems to have the opinion that people need permission to use one's rips. I'm perfectly fine with that.

However, I also agree with DarkSlaya. The GFX are copyrighted, therefore if one person rips them that they should be free domain.

I, however, feel that if someone asks you to remove their *ORIGINAL*(Not ripped from another game) GFX from a hack, you should do so.

JJ? What do you mean? Do I need to darken the brown I use, or dim it a bit? I'm also at a loss to whether I have all of the upper leaf canopy or not. =\ Catch me on AIM sometime, and we can discuss it.

You could try ExAnimation (With only one frame) and replace areas of GFX in FG1 and FG2 that are unused in your level. You only get 4 FG/BG ExGFX slots per level. (And the same goes for sprites. )

LEVEL INFORMATION::

This game uses the format "Bit Compression" (or I think it's called that), which allows 2 objects to be placed instead of one. Oddly, though, the level name is at the END of the level data, instead of the BEGINNING.

I'm currently working on finding this.
