Actually, it has nothing to do with the fact that your eyes will adjust to colours. Both eyes actually have blind spots where the optical nerve connects to the back of the eye. Why are there not black holes in our vision then? Because we have 2 eyes, and they each see what the blind spots of the other do not. What about when we close one eye, you may say. Well, the brain is an amazing thing. It actually fills in the blind spot with what it thinks should be there. That's why when you move towards the screen, if the star falls into the blind spot the brain will fill it in with white, since that is what's all around it, that is what it thinks should be there too. |
