Well, this officially SUX. i have my overworld almost completely designed, and now I remember about those Mountains. Is there any way to change the pallet for the mountains so that it is normal? I need to put water up there. I know that you can just change the layout, and the bottom of the mountains will be normal, but, i need that extra square of space. This could have a huge effect on my overworld, cause it looks so good the way it is, and it would require major reorganising which I REALLY dont want to do. Any and all help is appreciated. EDIT: ............. it would appear i acted a little premature.... dont i feel stupid. can a mod or someone delete this thread? Apparently, it will appear all messed up in HM, but when it is played in the ROM, it looks fine. Still though, and all I have to do is unjoin the areas and then rejoin em. Well, i might as well put this thread to some use if I can. My mountains are somewhere else. Is there a way to have them appear as the normal mountains do? I dunno, I dont use LM often. Im sure it would be easy with a tile editor. You should probably be asking this in the SMW hacking forum.

Schwa, you dont need a hex editor, or debugger to modify the pallets. All you got to do is go here http://desnet.fobby.net/index.php?page=utilities&id=4 visine, located at that url, supports the editing of mega man's palettes. Simply press the W key when editing MM2 and a Mega Man Palette Editor pops up, allowing you to edit all of MM's palettes (one for each weapon) If your interested in a chart of all the colors for the NES, one can be found here http://desnet.fobby.net/doc/AoRH.html#sIV section IV in that document has a nifty little table of all of the NES' 64 colors. the guy who made it should be given a medal. Lol, hope that helps. |

I personally cant stand the habbit. Its disgusting, causes forest fires... killes innocent people (ie second hand smoking) , ect. This may seem cold, but as far as i am concerned, smokers can smoke themselves to death for all i care. Of course, i would much rather see everyone quit, but we all know thats not gonna happen. I wish they would just outlaw it. |

It can be done on PS2, Xbox, Dreamcast, and soon on GCN. You can also make a cartridge and play it on a Snes. If you want me to make u a cart, PM me and we can discuss the details.

Yah, i use my modded xbox as an emulator, and its great, but there is nothing like an actual SNES controller for playing your hack.

Your in luck. I just learned how to work this thing a while back. Its really quite simple. First, you need to find out what kind of rom you are using (either Hi rom or Low rom). I think SNES9X may tell you when selecting the rom, but im not sure. Then, Just input the code, and hit the Show 64k button for lowrom (I think. Its been a while). or show 32k for Hirom. It should give you some numbers in the format of an adress, and a value. You must then take the adress it gives you and subtract C0000 from the adress it gives you. Then you have to add 200 (hex value... make sure you are using a hex calculator) You now have the ROM adress that needs to be changed. So, just open up the rom, go to the adress you calculated, and change it to the value the program origonally gave you. Hope that helps. |

I am probably gonna begin hacking SMW for a full scale hack. Since SMW is quite a popular game to hack, Im betting that there have been several ASM hacks. Im just wondering if there is a website or something where somone has compiled all the publically released ASM hacks. THX. |
