Thats not true, you can use the powder to turn some unkillable enemies into other enemies that are easily killed. BTW, thx, i am not making the dungeons, but im sure Dudeman will use those ideas. THX. |

I accidentally did that with my demo hack. It works fine when you enter another dungeon from stairs or a hole/warp, but it goes all messed when you just walk. Its wierd. I had to cut a whole section from a dungeon of mine cause of that. | |||

Awesome, that would be so cool. If the dungeons could be joined, it would allow for some really cool hacks like a hack where there is just 1 huge dungeon. I would love to play a hack like that. I guess that maybe it could be done now with stairs and stuff, but it would be much easier to design if you didnt have to worry about that stuff. | |||

Oh, i have put way too much effort into it, that I would never be able to back out now. Im way past the halfway mark. I am 100% sure that it will get done, baring some unfortuante disaster. Haha, well, i think ill post some more screens tonight. Some from the dark world this time. |

Oh, the game is 100% new. Basically, the whole game was wiped clean before beginning creation, so nothing is recognisable. Dungeons, Overworlds, story, some graphics, practically everything has been completely changed. Even some ASM has been put to use to create some awesome puzzles. However, the main events are unchangable. It would be way too much work to change the events, so they have just been worked into the story in a very unique way. Beyond that, there isnt much that can be done besides a major asm overhaul of the main events, which would take FOREVER. |

I dont see how you can really get a feel for it without playing the game. However, you are correct, to a degree. There is no way that i have the skills or the time to start changing events. If you are interested in helping out in that aspect, it would be very helpful. If you are, get in touch with me. If not, then youll find out how different it feels when Its released. |

Yah, well, i would go as far as to say its significatly more than just a remix. Same major events, completely different game. Not even the dungeons are in the same order. Im not going to bother changing events. Thats a major pain, so unless someone volunteers, nothing going to happen with that. Some events will be skipped though. |

I posted this at TEK, so i might as well here. Well, its been a while since there has been an update, and since so few seem to appreciate the work that has gone into this, i have decided to post a ton of pics! What better way to spread the word. First off, me and Dudeman have opted to delay Zelda: Dark Prophecy until early next year in favour of some major ASM upgrades such as a new Gannon battle, new bosses, new items, and perhaps even a new ability for Link! Look for it during march next year. Progress update: Dark Prophecy has been in development for about 6 months now, and, amazing progress has been made. This is where things stand right now. Overworlds - COMPLETE (Total of 132 screens!!!) Dungeons - 10 of 13 complete, with 2 minidungeons complete Story - Main idea complete, no story integrated into rom as of now Sidequests - Many on the way, some complete. Probably about 25% done Houses - 10% done. Wont take long at all. Caves - 50% complete, includeing huge caverns that span the length of the overworld (known as THE HIVE). Music - 0% Still looking for someone. If you think you can help, PM me. Presentation - Main screens, save screens, ect, 10%. Last priority As you can see, the game is comming along nicely. This hack doesnt seem to be on anyones mind, and it really should be, especially since it is showing so much promise of actually being completed. Now, LET THE PICS BEGIN!!! ---------------------------------THE LIGHT WORLD--------------------------------- ---------------------------------THE DARK WORLD--------------------------------- ---------------------------------THE DUNGEONS--------------------------------- ---------------------------------THE EXTRAS--------------------------------- A complete dungeon screen from the water dungeon as seen in Hyrule Magic. Should make for a good dungeon. The complete Pyramids as seen in Hyrule Magic. Unlike in Zelda 3, the Pyramids in DP span more than one area, and contain a dungeon inside. Each level is a floor, and you can only access each floor from the overworld. It makes for some very interesting puzzles. A light world area that is basically used as a connector to several main areas like the old castle, and the Ancient Labyrinth. I hope you guys enjoyed it. A TON of work has gone into this project so that it could be this good. Whats with all the hatin on the little trees??? they are cool. Well, some people think they are. Not to worry, there are very few in the game. I use them where a regular tree wouldnt fit. Anyways, other than that, thx for the encouragement. Dont forget to check in soon for a secret projects unveiling. |

Yup, i suppose input isnt gonna do much at this point. The game is too far along to change a lot of things. Either way, its gonna be great. As for the music, if you want to help, i have some songs that i would really like to see in DP that would need to be ported. Thx alot. I may be altering some of the areas nearing release, and based on the beta testers opinions. It really must be played to decide wether these things work well or not. As for the churches 2nd entrance, you can exit from it. I have to iron out a few bugs, otherwise, it will be removed from the final. |
