Not that I'd say we know more about space, not even.

I used to be real interested with space. Then I sort of came to accept that we're not going to be doing extreme travel in my lifetime, unless some random breakthrough happens, and it was a letdown.

We have demerits if you do various bad things. Twenty demerits get you expelled, but they go away.. or you have to do something to make them go away. I can't remember, and I'm afraid to find out,
If you're late to class you get a detention, depending on the teacher. If you don't go to detention you get two demerits. If you cut then you get a call home. And maybe more demerits? Gosh I really don't know, I'm so out of the loop. Then they pretty much do nothing.
Teachers claim they know when you ditch because they won't let you make up assignments. But that's never true. I was a perfect girl freshmen year and even went to a detention. Last year and this year I blow them off, and I ditched a regular class once to avoid a project. Did it later, got full credit.. but to be fair that teacher had no idea what was going on ever.
Then I've ditched homeroom a few times because it's stupid and it's not even a class. Just take attendance and make you sit there for fourty minutes.
I'm on the Loss of Priviledge list I'm sure, no prom.

Other than that, no one has confronted me about it and I'm not like a bad student.

So many people ditch anyway. There are always people sitting out. I did once, stayed in school and just sat outside the class all day. One teacher approached me, I said I was working on homework, she left. No one else gave me a second glance. It was ridiculous.
We just don't care.

Wow. I had a bad day today.. nothing big, just a bunch of random things, like Taryn said. The worst being I woke up with a huge bruise a bit below my chest and my insides feel like they're going to explode.
I didn't even realize it was Friday the 13th before reading this thread just now.

Why is it Friday that's bad? Why not like.. Monday the 13th. That sounds like a crappy day in my book.

Well.. I'm thinking as a teen or whatever, but at my school teachers are freaks about phones. They don't want you fiddling with it at all, it doesn't matter if it has a calculator. But everyone has their iPods out, including myself, no one cares.
Isn't that how it is in a lot of places?

I think that could be a factor. Maybe not something huge though.

My Spanish teacher is requiring everyone to make their own salsa so there can be a contest or something.
I have no idea how to go about this. I could obviously search for a recipe, but there're so many different kinds of salsa I'd just be taking a guess.

Have any of you made salsa for whatever reason? Is there some recipe you know is good? I know how to use google, I don't just want directions thrown at me. I want to talk with my peoples.

I'm using a Mac with Firefox, and it's working out just fine for me.

I want to request a layout.. not for posting, but for a profile. Just something simple so I can add a lot of crap about me and whatever. I want it to be themed with Kirby's Adventure (NES game).
The big problem isn't so much with the coding, since I don't have any huge plans, but I just don't have an idea of what to do. I know I want Kirby, but I lack creativity beyond that. More than anything I'd like an idea, I'd really appreciate it.

At first it had a huge horizontal stretch, but I hit reload and it went back to normal. A few more reloads.. that was weird. I use Firefox.

Why do you need a left to right scrollbar? If you make a post with a lot of breaks, it'll get frustrating to scroll down, scroll right, scroll up, read, repeat.
