I think he meant that does there need to be a variable set to have the text appear.. like &text& or something. Specifically for Acmlm's.
Your sample post will appear right next to the last thing you placed on your header. It will end right before the beginning of the signature. Remember, you can check your layout by viewing your profile.

It's not necessary to have a layout at all.. if you manage to lower the size of your sig, and it looks good, that would be fine. What's important is that

(a) Does it load quickly?
(b) Is the post easy to read?

Because when it comes down to it, that's all that really matters in someone's post.

edit: go for broke is slang. "do it", I guess. I'm not sure myself. XD Come on, Hiryuu!

I wasn't sure reading this thread, until I was reminded of fucking Metool. Definitly the most annoying.. pops out of the hat to shoot shit at you. He can go to hell.

What's more annoying in Crash Man's stage than those floating cans is the damn bird that flies by and shoots eggs at you while climbing up the ladder. Totally screws you up.

I agree. Not with making things up, but how little theories can be blown up to proportions that twists facts and such. My feeling is that's what happened with JJ64's teachings, intentional or not.

VH1 do their lists shows pretty well. Much better than E! and Comedy Central, that's for sure.
I used to have the channel on all the time, back in the day. When they showed music videos of songs, and usually the songs were good.. oh man, I love the 90's. I mean, early-mid 90's.. when I was a kid and wasn't quite sure of the world, but ate it all up. Anyway, I remember this one time where they had a marathon of playing every music video made, in alphabetical order by artists. THAT was insane, and I would love to see it again. I would plan my life around it. It would BE my life. you guys would never see me again. XD

Yeah, all it takes is a little thought throughout the thing. Plus, once you die and return to the boss, the walls you already destroyed do not return.
As far as death goes, if you hit "start" multiple times as the bolts go for you, they don't hit you. Makes it easy to not think about multiple things at once.

As far as staying on platforms goes.. remember, in MM2, the dragon you gotta fight in Wily's place? You gotta jump through a bunch of small ass platforms before fighting him. That was irritating. Also the part in Heat Man's level with the blocks that disappear and reappear, and you gotta jump on a ton of them over a pool of lava.. it's a bitch without the proper powerup to skip through.
