What exactly is the error caused by msvcrt.dll anyways? Are talking page fault or something? |
Additionally, I looked through Google...but I couldn't find much...only that extension_script_fu is 'A scheme interpreter for scripting GIMP operations'. I would think that whatever version of msvcrt.dll is screwed up in some shape or form but I'm not exactly sure, because as far as I can tell it just might not be able to give you access for whatever reason (possibly a virus, but I'm not aware of ones that infect specifically msvcrt.dll, so, you're up in the air on that one). I would say to try restarting it in DOS mode, deleting whatever msvcrt.dll is in your directory, wherever, and replacing it with the new one (if it is, in fact, a new one)...but I'm not exactly sure if it'll work either...in fact it may just be the program itself gone loopy. MSVCRT.DLL is a run-time DLL that, I believe, works in creating the video. I had similar errors in Winamp with this DLL back on my old comp and it forced me to use 2.81. [thinks] OH! Additionally, you don't by chance have Visual Studios or Visual C++ 6.0 do you? That's what set it off for me in Winamp...that could be the problem. So as you can see...there's a ton of different things that could be wrong with it. (restricted) |

See...this once again proves how much of a pervert he is...everyone keeps saying otherwise but noooooooo...he's innocent little Colleen. |
Yea...should we bring the Christi stuff back up? I've been thinking about reviving that for a while.

I'd Google for it...but I'm lazy. >>> And I'll take this too: Originally posted by EdOriginally posted by Utilityman Go here. I wouldn't mind to see and easier difficulty in the game myself or any Battletoads game for that matter (Arcade was hell), but I guess some of the games are meant to be hell because they are literally that, a challenge. Layout - 6/10. A bit plain, a bit too big on Text, and the background could've probably been done better had it not been stretched, maybe but the title on the bottom right or something like I did with this layout via CSS, but overall it's okay. |
Avatar - 9/10. Hey...I gotta give points for the SNES GIF thing...I'm waaay deep in it myself.

Originally posted by c0nfu53d It IS a sequel, but yea wouldn't everyone want a game sequel to FF7...but Square'd probably screw it up. And Battletoads is beyond deadly, you do not know ph34r until you've passed the third level completely (not using warps). The bikes are deadly. (edited by Ranko on 07-03-04 01:17 PM)

The only things I recall ever having problems with Win 3.1 and 3.11 was the beginning of the BSoD. That would be a bitch when it crashed DOS apps because most times it locked up. Old computer lockups were freaky looking sometimes too...I remember a lot of times the video went weird and looked like the screen was 'bleeding' red or something with the lines that went across the screen. |
First time that happened when I was 8 or 9 I was like...oh shit...what did I do. Hell, before Windows 3.0 was on my system I used WordPerfect Office 3.0's DOS Shell...apparently we had the disks the entire time (along with Windows 2.x or for those that remember Windows/286) but my mother never installed it. That's when I proclaimed how 'gifted' I was when I installed Windows 3.0 by myself when I was that age...promptly fucking the hell out of the entire computer later on by going too far with the DOS Help and using MIRROR and UNMIRROR. Did wonders to the Autoexec.bat and Config.sys and gave a buncha cool lines...well...cool as in unexpected...pissed my father the hell off. Eventually a few years went by and I repartioned the 32 and 8 MB hard drive to a full 40 and had a 286 all to myself when we got a Packard Bell (Hell)...and of course a 1.2 GB hard drive far surpassed a lowly 40 MB hard drive in late '95 And 16 megs of RAM beat 1024K...and 133 MHz passed 12 M...you get what I'm saying.

You get the name of whoever that shithead was? Someone needs out of a job, bad. |
Course it's always fun dealing with lame tech support...but most times tech support deals with lamers...so the smart ones get lost in the shuffle and they rarely, if ever, care.

Layout - 7/10. It's simple, but I can't get your damned layout color change working right. |
Avatar 0-7/10. If it's that 3UP thing...it's not bad...but currently it's a red X. And hey...that's an icon made with line art in Paint and then buttoned.

If it's anything like the job I had with telephones...they've got everything recorded for any person that ever calls...and they should monitor them like...daily...or at least very close to that. |
If you have the means, I'd email him back telling him where exactly you went in terms of the calls and the date/time you did it so they can figure out what went wrong...more than likely it's lameasses on the phones...I've seen it in phone jobs...they just bullshit their way through it and eventually get fired.

Overall, I'm not too impressive with the game...I've beat it with the double-whistle trick like everyone else...but as for outright beating every level in the game, I think I've fallen short...and the last time I truly played the NES was back before I moved in '95. |
I think back then I could do all levels up until the middle of World 6 came in... ... ... World 7 and 8 are easier. |
