| Well, it's a lot earlier than I expected...even though it's been quite a while (not counting WIPs) that there's been a new version since 1.36. The date is set for June 20th of this year. Source is from pagefault's thread, which can be located on ZSNES's board here. |

| On that by zelnaga: 'one feature that comes to mind is flicker-free support for the latest beta of star fox 2. i'm using the NSRT verified version, and i still get flickers. i say flicker-free support is finished because, iirc, _Demo_ released a version of ZSNES 1.36 that supported a flicker-free star fox 2. pagefault, as i recall, declined to add support for this until an official release. another thing that i was kinda under the impression was waiting for an official release was S-DD1 support...' Yea...that definitely helps...considering I have a decent version of it now...and running it on ZSNES 1.36 makes it look like utter crap... |

XP Looks like you're getting pretty reamed with the whole rating thing though on Newgrounds...quite brave to put that on there...but overall the idea's pretty decent and for just starting out (assuming the Arfenhouse take you did last was one of few) it's not that bad. Go here. Basically, as the website put it, it's: 'a website dedicated to reviving the video and computer game music of yesterday, and reinterpreting that of today, with new technology & capabilities. This site's mission is to prove that this music is not disposable or merely just background, but is as intricate, innovative, and longevous as any other form.' Basically, if you're into a lot of the vid game music...you'll definitely go for this modernization and interpretation of some of these works...I got into it about two years ago and have been going through it off and on...but there's some really decent stuff in here. And just so you don't get lost in what to get...I kinda figured I might as well post the thread here and have others post some of their favorites...there's also a forum on said site as well. Anyways, some that you might want to start out with...if you're close to stuff I kind like genre-wise, be on the lookout for these: Chrono Trigger - Revival Day Impoetus - Remixer: djpretzel Final Fantasy 6 - Squaresoft Variation - Remixer: Jeremy Soule (professional game music composer, btw) Super Metroid - Zebesian Midnight - Remixer: Vigilante Street Fighter 2 - Sagat's Moonbike - Remixer: Mazedude (kickass remixer) Punch-Out!! - Little Mac's Confession - Remixer - Game Over (this has LYRICS!!) I'll leave it at those five...I have about a hundred or so myself...but those are the ones I felt worth mentioning and leave it open for other people to post what they've got/heard/etc. EDIT: Damn colon messes up on posts. For a while I had a Megatokyo desktop...so...what better time to change it that for one of these...so FLCL will do just fine. I mulled over either this one or a Inuyasha one...but this one seemed to work better. |

If you're going through programming in Computer Science...around here...I guarantee you will be put through one or more C/C++/C# courses before you get out of college...so yea...it's definitely something you want to brush up in. |
Basically, if you're new to they game (personally, I still really am) you can only get better by praticing...tutorials help...but try applying them to odd little games and whatnot...more you practice on it...the easier it becomes learning it.
