I think the term for that would be 'resilient', at least an attempt to be as such. |
You'd have to look up a few psychological references for that, but basically it's that; some people won't take no for an answer regardless of the consequences. Intelligence or not it really doesn't mean anything in the area of being stubborn where logic may or may not really matter in their case just as long as they hope to achieve their ambition. As pointless as it may seem to others, it might not be so to them, basically.
