This seems horribly pathetic coming from an old regular (school got in the way, sorry.), but a friend of mine is quite serious about starting a board of his own, and I happened to mention this one.

Who is willing to share the board code, even if it is an older version....?

324.....so bad. It's boring. Why couldn't it have been 234 or 432? I liked my old one, 1323, better.

I'm quite fond of Southern California's In-n-Out Burger. Best hamburgers ever. Plus they have it all really fresh, unlike most of the standard burger joints.

I am not a noob. I am well versed in the syndromes, and the occasional gender bending. I even go caught up in renaming myself CS3PO when Episode 2 released.

I am a (breath):

An extremely nerdy, sick-minded, glasses-wearing, procrastinating, overbearing, nearly psychotic, anime-loving, reclusive, bipolar, out-of-shape, slightly overweight, unattractive asshole/nice guy of a white guy.

Oh yes. A little bundle of joy I am. It's no wonder I'm 17 and only ever dated one girl, and she broke up with me because she hated me.

I hate myself...............despite my occasionally cheery outside.

I have a Sony S2 CD/MP3 player. 'S really nice, considering it cost about US$100. It's got AM/FM, Weatherband, and even TV band, so I can listen to TV shows....that is up to channel 13....lousy UHF isn't picked up... MY headphones are a pair of real badass, super huge, foldable Koss Studio Monitors. They really do well in blocking out street noise, etc., so it really lets me get serious amounts of work done.

Oh, sure. Out do me at every turn. You're just like the rest!
I'VE contemplated suicide, so THERE!
I'd never do it though...

HA! So I am better than someone! I've actually ATTEMPTED it.

Wait. That's really psychotically pathetic......

I can speak:

English
German (Heb' mal!)
1337 (0[]-[] 1/\/d33d)
Japanese
C/C++ (printf("ha")
Java
Perl
Machine

I also understand a lot of other languages that I don't actually speak. This does not include Scandinavian languages, as they are all equally confusing.

The thing is, everything's better now. My g/f got back together with me! Joy.

So I'm back to being just an unattractive nerdy otaku.

I say just watch youself, respect her limits, and have fun.

Of course, for the next 4 months, I'm the young'un in my relationship (my g/f is 18, I'm 17. Not as big of a difference.)

Swing isn't really that hard, Jagori. Besides, there is BreezySwing, which makes GUI coding a mite easier. Not exactly point 'n' click like VB, but anything worth doing is worth actually working for.

FLCL shows that crazy people work at GAINAX, and they need more meds. It's not as semi-incomprehensible as Evangelion, but the fact robots sprout spontaneously from Naota's skull....really is psychotic.

I just saw the first ep. on Anime Network (thank you digital cable....) and I am blown away. It's an otaku's dream. Panties, bisexual women, panties, guns, more panties, cool cars, more guns.....it's amazing!! What's the general consensus??

This is why I never mock men who collect stamps. Ever.

But the end: "You're a lawyer, I know I'm gonna get screwed" is great.....

Posted on 04-18-04 10:23 PM, in What do American (public) schools teach? Link
My experience is that we are taught to be the same even though each of us is supposedly special. As for the content, in math and science, it's all good, but in history, it's all "america did this, did that, etc." and nothing that shows both sides. Less language exposure, and no real concern when it comes to computer science.

The fact this man acts like he can only understand small words, and owned until recently a mansion that was more like a frigging theme park makes me think these accusations are true. It's like he is luring these kids legally into illegal acts. Sick, I say. Sick and twisted.
