I was about four or five rows from the barricade, and they played pretty much every song I wanted to hear. At one point, I was crammed to the barricade, wondering what was going on, until I saw Al Barr on the barricade singing with the crowd! I was getting my ass kicked by crowd surfers and moshers while listening to my favorite band live, and it was fucking amazing. Musical orgasmic bliss if such a thing exists. |

| Shaun of the Dead. They took a good story, and threw in the key gimmick element second. In other words, it's like the tagline says; "A romantic comedy...with Zombies." It would have been easy to do a simple parody of the genre I love, but instead, they wrapped a superb story around it, and made it much more than what I had first expected. A superbly zombilicious masterpiece that easily holds it's spot as my favorite movie. |

| Elsewhere, in a much more peaceful location, a sleeping DiEn High Cleric is disturbed by a nightmare...a little girl shrieks in desperation, .violently rousing her from her slumber... "I AM HERE!! I AM HERE!!" Nimue: "...Ami?!?" Nimue LaFaye sits up it bed, taking a moment to wipe the cold sweat from her brow and ponder her dream. She hadn't had a nightmare in years; not since she was a child had she had one quite this distressing. She is about to dismiss the nightmare as a disturbing fluke, until she receives and urgent distress call from Schwa... Nimue: "Hmm...strange. I'll be there as soon as I can to check it out." Could they have been connected? Schwa did deal very closely with the Gemini kids, so it wouldn't surprise her if... No. It was only a nightmare. It had to have been. Still, she was headed there anyway. It couldn't hurt to check things out from there if anything was wrong... Nimue hurriedly puts on her High Cleric's robes, picks up her staff, and opens the gateway to where Schwa should be.... ------------------------------------------------ Stepping through the void, Nimue greets Schwa with a gentle smile. | I voted Gamecube, with PS2 being a CLOSE second. It probably would have gotten first place, if it hadn't been for a multitude of disc read errors. Besides, SSBM and "ZOMG RE4" more than justify it here. I still say that once Nintendo introduces some kind of backwards compatibility outside of the Gameboy line, they will have a serious powerhouse of a machine on thier hands... |
