| Small world, eh Dogan? I held back on replying to this thread, pretty much since I didn't know where to start before. One of my biggest fears from years ago was having nobody around. I'm talking about outliving my parents, living far away from any of my friends now, with no wife/girlfriend. Pretty much living out the rest of my adult years alone and unloved. However, I got to thinking about it, and there's pretty much only one thing I can do about it: Improve my own relationships, and hope for the best. If it happens, great. If not, life goes on. As we enter college, we will continue to learn and mature, and hopefully we will make at least a bit of sense out of everything life has to offer. I'm also a strong believer in everything in life happening for a reason, even if it isn't readily apparent to us at first. Xeogred's story is a PERFECT example of that. With some people, they might have not been the most social people in the world, but they make up for it with wisdom and "book smarts". Others, just may work the opposite way. For people like Dogan, high school naturally is a tough place to realize the real benefit of this kind of intelligence. If you end up having a family, that intelligence and work ethic will provide plenty for them. If it comes to pass that you do not, you with your ability will still contribute to the world and ones around you. So, even if you cannot see it, this time is being used as it should be. Oh, and don't worry about changing the way you deal with your friends. I used to think the exact same way and worry about the same thing. I always used to wait to be invited somewhere, and I still do. And the way things stand now, It seems like I'm always the odd man out too. I'll tell you what, if you want, when summertime rolls around and we have no work to worry about, I'll give you a call when I start going out again. Geez, I usually can go on and on over subjects like these. I personally have big plans when I go off to college to take advantage of new oppertunities. However, I don't view them all as transient objects. Think of it this way: Was the way your parents raised you which helped turn you into the person you are today such a transient thing? |

| The impact of Jarukoth's hit lulled him into a false sense of security, which made room for the opening Stacice needed. The force of the kick knocked him high into the air, and the combo kicks upward knocked him silly for the moment. However, a momentary pause gives Jarukoth an idea... At the peak of thier jump, Jarukoth manages to regain his composure, and catch one of Stacice's attacks. He then wraps his arms around her midsection, grasping her tightly. Jarukoth: "If I go down, I'm taking you with me...literally!" As Jarukoth and Stacice begin to decend back to earth, he begins to spin himself, taking her with him. As they spin, they begin to fall at an even greater speed. While Jarukoth may fall, he seems intent of slamming Stacice to the ground along with him... "Omote Renge!" [Initial Lotus] |
