I also lurked at several boards in 2001 (not this one though), because my parents wouldn't let me register at boards when I didn't have an E-mail account. I only made threads for 1000 and 2000 on the old board...I also made a thread when I had 5000 total posts (3972 old + 1028 new), which happened on the day of my three-year anniversary, so I just made one thread for both.

Every page...? Do they have any idea how long that would take at larger boards like Acmlm's? I bet even most members haven't seen every single page. |
My parents had no problem with me registering at boards after I had an E-mail address...I guess they just didn't want me using THEIR address (which is just our last name @ our ISP). I did use their computer for a while though...I didn't get my own until about June of 2002. I had Acmlm's in their bookmarks list, and I think my mom went there once (she didn't post, I think she was just curious). (restricted) | (restricted) |

Looking at who applied vs. who got in, at least as far as local mods are concerned, it seems that most people who didn't get in, either had very few posts, or wrote very short essays. (And at least one obvious joke application...) |
